I saw this in Norwich, and the entire cast was sick, and all the understudies were on. The understudy Elle was amazing, and the show was great albeit you could tell that the understudies were quite thrown by all being leads!
Thanks for the upload. I think this is the first performance of the song that actually has continuity! Bruiser 'tells' Margot that Elle is 'totally freaking out' in the mall about finding her engagement outfit, yet (in every other production) when we first see her, Elle seems pretty relaxed and excited about finding a dress. This is the only version I've seen where Elle is rushing around in any sort of a panic. It's kinda funny that it took nearly a decade of performances for anyone to realise that Elle's behaviour didn't match what the audience are told about her, and changed the way that the scene was staged!

I agree, the intro just felt off, like the actual show kinda just like introduces us to her better, this show is more like “Oh my god guys, oh yeah here’s Elle.” Whilst the original is more like “We need to find Elle.” And mysteriously she rises and we see her and a great cheer comes from the crowd.
I think it's because they travel around and therefore can not take everything with them because there are too large parts so they redo them so it will be easier to travel with
Hi, no this is the most recent UK Tour production, it wasn't produced by the same company as the west end/ previous UK tour productions that replicate the original version. This version was done by UK productions. Also the set, costumes and show was completely different in the curve production x .
@@alexbutler716 when shows are done in other countries, local production companies acquire the rights to the show. And in that will be an agreement that they need to use the same music arrangements, choreography, direction, lighting and set design. Sometimes the original creatives will invest money into the production and travel for the opening. After several years, the rights holders will tend to not care as much and allow these type of productions to change things such as the set design, it’s the same with what’s going on with Mamma Mia. There is currently a production in Australia that isn’t a “carbon copy” of the original show.

Holy shit the harmony is really good especially when they’re saying “oh my god.” This is probably one of the best harmonies I’ve seen for this song.
