I just bought AAR1, found it used so most of the heavy lifting prep work is done. Can’t wait to get started with it! Thanks for the video, very helpful
I started AAR1 with my 4.5 year old daughter last August and she did really good with it until she was halfway through. She became very upset and aggravated with all the review pages. It did seem like a lot for her. Plus, I felt like she had a bunch of review cards. So I sat it aside and ordered The Happy Cheetah. I have AAR2 still unopened. I’m going to hold on to it and hopefully get back to it this upcoming school year. 🤞
I totally skip any unnecessary review. I don't even use the flashcards with my oldest because she's not a flashcard kid. My youngest loves the flashcards 🤷🏻♀️😁. We have to make the curriculum work right for us and each kid!
My oldest was still happy to do them at 9 years old, in 3rd grade. That was the year she finished level 4. My 1st grader is finishing up level 2 and still loves this program. They really enjoy the activities.
Have you tried All About Reading in your homeschool? It is one of our favorite curriculums! What do you love for teaching children to read?
This is probably one of the best videos I've watched about AAR! Thanks for sharing mama!
What a compliment! Thank you

I’m new to this homeschooling thing so thanks for the advice!
Love this!!
Did you ever do level 4?
Yes! We loved it. Highly recommend!
Do these activities ever feel a little baby-ish to your kids? I’m on the fence about AAR

@@OdetoAbode thank you!
What is the cost?
You'll find current pricing on their website. It's also fairly common to find this program in online BST groups, secondhand.
