This is an amazing resource for those with TMJ and/or bruxism., and those who try to help them. Thank you for a straightforward and detailed way to address tension (and spasm?) in the masseters . 💗
Try getting a massage gun and then after you massage it use your hands and you’ll be able to actually massage it without being scared that’s what I do it works for me
this is a great video. if you've had these trigger points for months, how long is it likely to take to get rid of them? and how often per day should you work on them?
If you have them lying supine with one hand supporting the back of their head, you don’t need to go intra oral because you already have enough leverage. Otherwise, great, informative video!

would this help with my never ending lower jaw, lower back tooth pain? the dentist cannot find anything wrong and is getting frustrated because I have constant lower jaw/tooth pain.
I know im late but I have the same issue with my upper back left gum. Yeah trigger points can send pain signals to those areas and cause tenderness. If your dentist cleared you it is most likely a result of those trigger points!
Find TMJ specialist dentist. Check your bite and you may need mouth guard. Hot fonentation and gentle massage do help. NSAIDS and muscle relaxant occasionally . I know this pain really sucks..

Have you tried both techniques on yourself or gotten patient feedback? I’d bet most patients would say, while painful, this brings far more relief.
Are our ears the only place that's safe from trigger points? I feel like they can show up anywhere
Actually trigger points appear always in muscles
