Editing photos is plain out robbing customers. It’s representing something a collector is going to expect and pay for. When the actual tattoo is done, it looks nothing like the edited photos of the artist work on social media. A lot of money is spent on tattoos, not to mention be on you forever. Deceiving like that should have no place in the tattoo community

I do art with ink and watercolor, not tattoos, but man, I learn a lot from watching these. Solid lineart even in realistic tattoos, good contrast, and composition. 👍
dude same! It helps me make sure I'm looking at my art critically, learning about line weights has helped me a lot and look at my own art different (I'm still a baby artist lol).
I really appreciate your videos because I thought the joker was killer and the artist should feel good with his recognizable image and they have a lot of good points.. but for an artist as a brutal critique it’s so helpful. Many fine details which would make the tattoo so much better.. you’re doing an awesome service and really helping to raise the bar for artists
Pony! I don't know if people have said it to you before. I think that noy only you're an amazing tattoo artist and human being, but also you did great video editing as well. Every episode I feel the vibe on the editing (and music), I enjoy this series a lot. ❤️
Really like what you did at 8:02, hope to see more of that in the future. Also, might be a good idea when you are talking about techniques with the tattoo machine to show us what you mean (doesn't have to be on skin, but just so we get a visual). Thanks Pony
Originally watched this and wondered if this guy is legit enough to critique people so I googled him. And he’s definitely legit enough. I’ll be following this channel now lol
I'm a pretty beginner artist and I usually don't edit my photos, even if there's mistakes or some other visually thing that distracts the eye. I tend to mess around with the contrast as most of the time my pictures look way to brightened or washed out and I try to get them to look as close as it looks when you look at it with your eyes, but even then, it won't be close. You have to use photography tricks to get decent results but I've seen artist go overboard with filters and lights so yeah...
I like to edit my photos, but I always make shure I post the unedited version too, so people can see what my work really looks like. Transparency is key.
You ever done a discussion on placement? What shapes best form to parts of the body and the like. I have all my tattoos on my left arm but nothing at my elbow.
12:30 "wtf is that"? Hmm an angry stippled eye? A yin with no yang? For the geeks, part of the old school java logo? Ultimately though, my real guess is practice on human canvas.
If "Ders" could only hear you pronounce his name w/ an "AN" instead of an "ON" he'd make it clear he had a hard "ON." (Where my Workaholics fans at?!) Even crazier though, this guy's buddy is from Norway too! 🤣
GOD DAMN, how is he even criticizing these seriously ... every one of these people (other than the skull guy) needs to STOP tattooing, PERIOD! The fact that they are submitting these and not realizing how shit they are says it all.

yeah, in my opinion it should even be illegal to edit tattoo photos in your portfilio and not add a disclaimer that it is edited / sell it as real
This 🎉
Arlo di cristina is notorious for doung this shit
Pony is like that sweet art teacher that gives you really good advice without shitting on your work, even if your work is really shitty.
I feel like he knows how to poke fun while still providing amazing advice and not destroying your motivation, he's cool af frrr
We all appreciate your honesty - these types of videos help the industry grow as a whole.
Most of these don't even look like tattooing problems they look like artistic problems. They need to hit the books
i guess people just dont get more creative even though they are progressing technically

A lot of these were pretty rough today. I’m glad you are actually offering tips and tricks instead of just saying they are’nt good ♥️ your work pony!

Hey Pony, great video! Would you consider posting a video on how to take good tattoo photos to properly showcase them?

Editing effects are hilarious and add a fun factor to the most recent videos! Tattoo Critiques series is getting better and keep it up! :)
Some Of these tattoos actually make me wanna become a tattoo artist or just get better at drawing in general!

Dereks tattoo had my eyes moving all over it, love the dimension and composition on this one
I cannot get over how perfect those lines on Raphael Ortiz's tattoo are... specially the hearts. That man has some serious talent
i might get a toilet as my next tattoo and send it in. just so we all get a toilet tattoo again. for the guys right?

Good morning, afternoon or night!!! Starting my day off with a dose of Pony Lawson. 🙌🏾💯🔥
Boy that first one was ROUGH but ig you gotta start somewhere
Edit: many were rough this ep.
That skull tattoo makes me want to get a Lich King tattoo concept which I had in mind. 😅 Half Arthus and Half Lich king.
God, Derek's tattoo is SO good! I would wear the FVCK out of that tattoo!
The first tattoo is a contender for the toilet tattoo 😉
Could u do top artist showcase of the week as a espérate series or something? With artists out there with unique styles from Instagram!

Buen vídeo, excelentes conceptos✨ Los artistas aprendemos mucho con tu contenido! Saludo
I thought it said Amily. Weird name… Than I realized the F was part of it too.
I thought it said ‘F amily’ at first glance.
I was just thinking ‘what the hell did Amily do to deserve that?’ 😂
What was that when you cut out and gone to the next one??? The one close to neck?
I like the shapes going on in the skull one.
these must be artists that haven’t been apprenticed. No Tattoo mentor would let these tattoos happen. Ouch
Why are the Jokers eyebrows up on his forehead?
okayt not trying to be mean but why are people who cant draw trying to be tattoo artists?

the hannibal reference pic 👀👀👀
You tell them pony!
Quite a few #rip toilet tattoos in this episode. Lol.
dang i didnt make it on this time :c maybe next one lol
I was promised tattoos for aliens and did not get tattoos for aliens.
I'm an alien lol. I'm not an artist or collector, merely a lurker who likes all the art.
Joe made it on the 💯 dollar bill
6:18 parece que tuviera dos narices y dos bocas unidas, ojos de una personas diferentes.
There are some mighty fine toilet tattoos today.
WHY is Joaquim Phoenix’s forehead SO big??? No way there is THAT much space between his eyebrows and hairline in real life!
Out of curiosity, are you going to stop gaging your ears at this point or continue to go bigger? Love your videos ♡
He has had the same size gauges for years now 😎
@@D1XGXP right on. Thanx for answering me, it was my appreciated

I don't think my tattoo will ever be critique here. I sent my submission 4 months ago
come on pony, don't you know alien is an offensive term?!?!?! they prefer ET obviously 🙄😂
Demi lavato is that you ?!? 😂
Yes and stop posting fresh tattoos ...without showing the healed version later ..
People can post fresh tattoos, stfu
What's the problem with fresh tattoos?
@@Shinigamij66 yes they can but with the healed tattoo next to it .
@@Peaceful_Rayne healed tattoos are like the finished product. .
I have seen brilliant fresh work turning into crap after 4 weeks .overworked .
@@wildtatz okay? He can still post them if he wants to....
He likes the headless tattoo becuase it seems unfinished hahaha
