Thanks for keeping Lotta Love by Nicolette Larson alive and not forgotten. The Neil Young song is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded in the pop era and it became a prophetic anthem by Nicolette Larson when she released her version in 1978. It became a crossover blockbuster hit for Nicolette, hitting the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Easy Listening chart, a hit on the disco charts and #11 in Australia and #22 in New Zealand. Nicolette really was living out the words of Lotta Love in her own life. Suffering from addiction to valium and tylenol, Nicolette died from liver disease caused by overuse of those prescription drugs in 1997 at the young age of 45. I have three versions of Lotta Love in my iTunes Library and I'll add the HSCC version featuring the amazing Pina Del Re to my HSCC iTunes Playlist collection.
This performance sounds totally Larson-like and very much at ease and stylish. Takes me back to that late summer afternoon on August 31, 1980, at the Hollywood Bowl for the big Fleetwood Mac concert. Christopher Cross was the opening act, and he brought out Nicolette to sing “Lotta Love.” It was the waning of the Seventies for me that evening, at the dawn of a strange new decade.
Surprising emotional.... Every time I hear this song, it remind me the beauty of Nicolette. She was a wonderfull lady..I felt in love with her whe I was 15 but she is till in my heart..
What a talent Nicolette was before we lost her so early in her career and life. Rest in peace Nicolette. You have done well and left us music to enjoy and remember the great times of the 70's.
There's a common denominator with all HSCC's videos - the mix. World class. HSCC are a work of art. I'm reminded of a quote from on old book titled 'The Art of the Film' by Ernest Lindgren (1948) - 'This is the first thing we are entitled to expect from any work of art, that it shall have unity, and be a thing complete in itself which we can appreciate for its own sake, every part falling into place to create a satisfying pattern unmarred by redundancies, irrelevances or omissions.' I believe the whole HSCC outfit qualify.
My favorite interpretation from Pina, and just have to mention the joy and pleasure Con Delo shows playing bass. Thank you to every single one of you guys for bringing us so much peace and joy with your music. So welcomed and needed these days. I'm a fan.
I love this song and I'm and Nicolette fan, I wish she was still here with us I think she was just the most beautiful woman, you guys did her song Justice, I like most of the songs that you do, always thinking about you Nicolette
Pina has such an elegant presence in her style and performance. A classy and beautiful woman. Great voice, song and the band just keeps delivering in everything they do!
Compeltely agree. Besides her wonderful singing. her stage presence is excellent. Not fake, not over the top, not put-on - but real, authentic, feeling it. She's genuine and she is a pleasure to watch.

This is an absolutely flawless cover of one of the most beautiful songs ever written in the late 70's. Pina has such smooth elegance in her delivery and the voice of an angel! The band just tops it off by adding in the amazing saxophone and guitar solo that gives the song what it deserves. Darren and Con.... Keep doing what you are doing! The HSCC is bar none, the best cover band I have ever seen or heard! You all ROCK!!
I.always adored this song by Nicolette, but I am sad that she left us at such a young age. She was delightfully innocent & precious. Thanks HSCC for bringing us these great songs & memories.
Pina is just magical. Such a great voice. My favorite of all the incredible HSCC singers. Sounds amazing in every video. She should be a global superstar. Most of the "popular" singers today only wish they had her voice.
I keep coming back and playing this song. Saw the singer(Pina) do a promo for HSCC and she had a thick Australian accent. She sings this song and it's perfect. Then guitar, bass, sax, drums, and keyboard... all awesome. This one is a keeper.
I’m takes back to the winter of 79, five years old…Living in the projects, in our cold-ass house, in St. Paul, MN. My older sister and I are jamming to this song on the radio while our mom is at bingo. What a good memory
I assume most musicians and singers love performing, but every time I watch Con Delo smile I know he is totally in his zone and loving every minute. Another stunning performance and great tune.
Pina can actually sing, not like so many of today's female vocalists. As usual, the other band members exhibit amazing talent. I hope you feel appreciated and proud of your productions. Take care.
Most unknowns (or rather those who aren't that famous) are SIGNIFICANTLY more talented than most mainstream singers. Mainstream singers get where they are mostly by luck and by a corrupt industry that just wants to use them, mainly for nefarious reasons. That's why so many mainstream singers seem to degrade themselves. But Pina and the other vocalists for HSCC not only have talent, but also class.
1978 when i was a teen ... i never forget this song
Nicolette Larson is smiling ❤
Yes Nicolette was a bright star, may she rest in peace
Brilliant! Well done. Take a bow.
Another great performance.

Lotta Love is not a Nicolette Larson song. It's actually a Neil Young song that was covered by Nicolette Larson.

WoW nearly half a million views ,love Pinas fashion sense looks pleasing to the eye. Great music guys.
Happiness..when your lead singer carries a song with a sense of command and beauty and the band accompanies her faultlessly in perfect harmony
Beautifully said!
Yes Richard and Robin agree and Con catches a smile and feels it they just have this ability to capture the moment
recorded in a studio then they play along with it...thats why its so crisp and clean...
This is a "LIVE" take, all HSCC vids are recorded live and then mixed by producer nerd. Uh huh
