I'll tell you why - because he never complained, never showed any ego and just focused on putting 110% into the part he was given every time. He made it his own, he always got noticed for it and never stepped on any toes. He just got on with the work and that's exactly the kind of person you want in your team.

Jake who beat the 500 other applicants in global audition in 2019 got to beat the 11 other trainees in ILAND in 2020.He also got the 4th highest score in the 4th test. He is one step away to become a global idol. So, watch out for him. He was the poem that fortunately, Rain was able to read. "He is growing" really got me😭🧡 Edit: Y'all from lowest score in 1st test to being 4th with highest score in 4th test. Jake with 9 months of training did that!
If jake had trained for a longer period of time, he would be a good center nothing less than heeseung or jungwon. Tbh jake stood out the most for me, despite the fact he only trained for 9 months, his dance skills and vocal improved a lot, he's indeed an all-rounder yet a lot of people still sleeping on his talents. Just look at him performing on stage, his aura, his facial expression (he's improved a lot since ep1 and in ep6 his facial expression was really natural and attractive which you can't just gain by practicing, i really like sunghoon and jay's parts and their facial expressions too, they're born to become greate artists). Anyway, both ilanders and grounders performed super great. I can't wait till 7th episode (and most importantly, we're gonna get to see bts and i land interaction omg i'm so hyped rn).

Jake's one in-ear fell (1:14) but he still did amazing with his singing. Also when they performed into the i-land his mic pack fell but he still danced professionally. Plus, he improved so much in every aspect. Jake's spot for part 2 was DESERVED!

the way some people are saying he is visuals only and has no talent at all like where? watch the fire fancam and especially this fancam of him and he will prove you guys otherwise. he is not just looks only but he can also sing, rap and dance. especially on this performance he showed his charms, his falsetto is absolutely beautiful and his dance is amazing. wait until he debuts and he will expose his talent even more.
Jake's one in-ear fell (1:14) but he still did amazing with his singing. Also when they performed into the i-land his mic pack fell but he still danced professionally. Plus, he improved so much in every aspect. Jake's spot for part 2 was DESERVED!
