This was easily my favourite part of the campaign! The whole thing is just the perfect metaphor for how Michael feels. First the monkeys (or apes?) jumping and screaming in a circle around Michael, symbolising everyone teaming up on him and blaming him for everything, Michael being alone in the middle of everything, no one taking his side or supporting him.
Next the abduction, being stripped down to his undies surrounded by aliens, symbolising him being completely exposed and stripped of any control over his own life, being totally at the mercy of the aliens.
Next, the quotes of how he is a failure while falling from the sky, symbolising everything collapsing in on him, and the feeling of falling.
When I watched this I was laughing at it's obvious ridiculousness, and it was funny how he was just completely tripping balls, but at the same time I was on the edge of tears from the symbolism of it all. A truly amazing job from the Rockstar script writers!
It is also my theory that the alien frozen in the river in the prolog is meant to symbolise that this is when Michael lost control over his own life.

My dog had two major surgeries and was forced to wear a cone for months while he recovered and blood drained from his ears. Dude was a mess, and covered in dry blood around his head the whole time. Normally he was active and playful but during all this he was absolutely miserable and would just lay lifeless all day. The day we finally took off the cone, I just so happened to be listening to this song. He was sooooo happy and excited and filled with life again. Dude reverted back to a puppy. We just kept playing while this song was on repeat. I'll always associate this song to one of his happiest days.
It saddens me knowing people flew straight downwards and hit the floor (ending the scene). Personally I flew around for ages enjoying this music

Michael seriously deserved better. He always gets blamed for the family's problems, constantly gets cheated on by Amanda, his own son and daughter hates him, and overall, he just needs love.
he cheats on Amanda but he couldn't bring himself to do it whenever you switch to him. if I have a dad like Michael I would be proud of him. he's the reason why I live in a better life and not to mention he risks his life for the sake of his family, even betraying his best friends which is the hardest decision he ever made.

why did his wife believed him? because he wants Michael to change so she can change. even if Michael never cheated he learned how to accept the things that weren't his fault and swallowed his pride for the sake of his family. now we've seen Michael hangs out with Jimmy by doing bike rides and happier, Amanda working out with Michael and their conversations are lighter, and according to Lester in Diamond Casino, he once knew a problematic father turned into philantropist with a supportive wife.
he is by far the most complex and emotionally disturbed individual in any GTA games so far. not to mention after his family left, most depressing part is where you switch to him as he looks on the mirror wanting to cry or get angry and his voice broke as he tries to preserve the last sanity he has left in him.
