I like those old air raid sirens. My small town in central Alberta used to have it go off at noon too back in the 80's/90's. I can't remember exactly when they stopped doing that. So tired of losing our own traditions and culture, just because one person complains.

When I moved to PA from NY and heard the sirens for the first time I thought we were under attack 😂. It's just the county signalling the fire department 🤷🏼‍♀️

I always enjoyed the sirens when I lived on the prairies also. They used to go off whenever the volunteer firefighters had to rush to the hall.

I fell in love with Begonias 3 years ago. This year I have all different types coming from all kinds of different places. Just cuz. Got some beautiful Canna bulbs coming. Some lilies, Gladiolus and my first time trying Ranunculus! Ahhh! 20 Butter Cream. They sound delicious. That is just for starters. Seeds of all kinds and annuals to come later. I go for the "Supertunias" out here in Colorado because the rain and hail and rough weather doesn't phase them. "Wave Petunias" get sad. OK - Peace!

OMG my greenhouse plants are drying out so fast! It’s been cold, but sunny. We are about to get warm and rainy, so I am kicking anything that can make it outside so that I don’t have to fuss over them as much. They are turning into unruly teenage plants! Those hanging baskets are going to be SPECTACULAR! Getting me antsy for spring!

I have good results using Pyriproxyfen for fungus gnats as a soak. It's a juvenile hormone analogue and doesn't affect mature insects.

I noticed some of the starts are already root bound. It wouldn't be possible to stop and detangle each start. it would take way too much time. Does it cause you to worry or are you confident it won't cause any problems based on last year's experience?

  • @Patty11224

It looks like you’re pushing the plugs into the soil, so it must not be packed in the pots. Doesn’t the soil in the pots sink down once you water them?

When I got promoted to manage a restaurant I’d worked at, my husband suggested that the first time the health inspector came in I ask her to “rip me a new one”. Basically it was so that we could fix anything from the get go. I did, she got a kick out of it and we had a great relationship for years to come.
Everything looks beautiful, I can’t wait to see it all fill out!
