I remember when I saw the E3 2016 trailer, absolutely jumping with joy and then told all my friends about it and they said it doesn't look that good. Then they watched this trailer a year later and said they cant wait for it. Similar story with the MCU movies
I remember in 2018 I hadn’t even heard of this game until I saw a commercial for it on the day it came out. At the time I also wasn’t very interested in Marvel, and when I saw the commercial I was like “Oh yay another Marvel thing, it’s not like we have enough of those”. But then the next day I watched a RUclipsr play the game, and it completely blew me away. This game is what I bought a PS4 for (well, I asked for a PS4 for Christmas because god knows I couldn’t afford one myself). This game is hands down one of my favorite games of all time, even 3 years later. It also really got me interested in the MCU and Marvel as a whole, especially Spider Man. And me getting a PS4 opened me up to Uncharted, The Last of Us 1 and 2 (yes they’re both amazing games), Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Spider Man Miles Morales, which was also an amazing game, along with so many other incredible console games not exclusive to PS4. This game changed my gaming life. I can’t thank it and the developers enough for that

ngl for some reason I like the combat in this demo better than the one in the actual game. It's slower but it just feels more brutal and right to me. And I also like how u only need to web a guy once for them to be fully webbed up. I also rly liked the air launch animation here, and the way the combo feels at 2:04. It's slower but I like it better for some reason lol

Yeah and it seems to have more attack animations. I hope in the next game they give a lot more variety to the moves Peter does in his basic square x4 combo.
Pretty sure it is slowed down for E3 showcase purposes. It would feel terrible to actually play this like everything is at 0.5 speed. Also there is already an alternative web attack that fully webs enemies up in a single hit which is of course more limited in your inventory because of gameplay balancing.
@@weaverquest I know about impact web, but the slowed down attacks just feel better to me personally. Also, impact web has limited uses and having that ability with the normal webs would be much more fun, at least imo
One thing I've been hearing in the comment section is how the swinging is slow. I think that over the course of the game you will have the option to make it faster and Insomniac themselves states that, this level is earlier on in the game. What I picked up at the 6:15 mark in the video is when Yuri says: "Maybe you can superhero a little faster" to which Spider man replies "Working on it Yuri". These dialogues alone kinda states that you can upgrade your swinging over time.
Judging from the fact that web swinging is "physics based," and from my own experience creating physics based web-swinging systems, I can say that the web swinging shown is at a fraction of the speed that it could really be: there are techniques that can be used (web pulling, free falling longer and swinging higher) that result in a higher swing speed.
The swinging looks the best its ever been on any spidey game... I bet its only silly kids who have no idea about a true entertaining game with great physics... Imagine how boring it would be with unrealistic physics... There would be no point in the feeling if there is no realism implemented
Fearless Courage When you explain it that way, it sounds reminiscent to how Rocksteady handled Batman's gliding maneuvers in the Batman Arkham franchise. If that is the case, as well as what Insomniac was alluding to, then this game will be even more amazing than I thought. A truly, skill based swinging system. Never thought I'd see the day.

Having already playing this game and coming back here, I have to say. This game not only lived up to the hype but also surpassed it. An amazing achievement in gaming.

Mr. Negative, Miles Morales, New suit, New story, enhanced combat system, realistic Web-Slinging mechanics, Environmental interactions along with amazing graphics, Epic acrobatic parkour, and superb voice acting! I've also been informed that you'd get to free roam as Peter, himself (correct me if I'm wrong)! This looks as if it will be an awesome game since the Ultimate Spider-Man, Shattered Dimensions, Web of Shadows, and the Spider-Man Trilogy games!
Free roaming as Peter hasn't been confirmed, but Insomniac has gone out and said that this will be more of a Peter Parker story, and that he's VERY essential to the plot.
I think there may be levels where you're Peter in a labratory or in school and a villian attacks and you don't have time to get your suit so you have to run away acting as a normal human.
I'm glad they are using lesser-known Villains such as Mr. Negative and also finally adding Miles Morales. Thank god this isn't another movie tie-in game! Those always suck!
I prefer the combat animations in this tbh, I feel like Peter almost never uses his hands to hit in the full game; however, in Miles Morales, they made it so he punches too

I am actually here to see how the OG PS4 Spider-Man gameplay trailer was, and seeing TONS of differences between the gameplay shown here and what we actually got Day 1 on the PS4. The gameplay mechanics, the HUD, a lot of animations, and also so many graphics have been polished for the purpose of the game! Also I am grateful that the real game does not have ranking for the combo streak. This means one thing, Spider-Man 2 has another 4 to 5 months. There are gonns be HUGE changes as we have seen, especially the HUD that can be polished further, and the graphics will hopefully be optimised further. It's mostly the color grading that bothers me as of now... Anyways, looking forward to the new game!

ngl for some reason I like the combat in this demo better than the one in the actual game. It's slower but it just feels more brutal and right to me. And I also like how u only need to web a guy once for them to be fully webbed up. I also rly liked the air launch animation here, and the way the combo feels at 2:04. It's slower but I like it better for some reason lol
Same I love the more brutal and slower combat rather than the fast and lighter combat in final it doesn't feel right for Peter parker and suits Miles more
Yeah and it seems to have more attack animations. I hope in the next game they give a lot more variety to the moves Peter does in his basic square x4 combo.
Pretty sure it is slowed down for E3 showcase purposes. It would feel terrible to actually play this like everything is at 0.5 speed. Also there is already an alternative web attack that fully webs enemies up in a single hit which is of course more limited in your inventory because of gameplay balancing.
@@weaverquest I know about impact web, but the slowed down attacks just feel better to me personally. Also, impact web has limited uses and having that ability with the normal webs would be much more fun, at least imo
One thing I've been hearing in the comment section is how the swinging is slow. I think that over the course of the game you will have the option to make it faster and Insomniac themselves states that, this level is earlier on in the game. What I picked up at the 6:15 mark in the video is when Yuri says: "Maybe you can superhero a little faster" to which Spider man replies "Working on it Yuri". These dialogues alone kinda states that you can upgrade your swinging over time.
Judging from the fact that web swinging is "physics based," and from my own experience creating physics based web-swinging systems, I can say that the web swinging shown is at a fraction of the speed that it could really be: there are techniques that can be used (web pulling, free falling longer and swinging higher) that result in a higher swing speed.

The swinging looks the best its ever been on any spidey game... I bet its only silly kids who have no idea about a true entertaining game with great physics... Imagine how boring it would be with unrealistic physics... There would be no point in the feeling if there is no realism implemented
Fearless Courage When you explain it that way, it sounds reminiscent to how Rocksteady handled Batman's gliding maneuvers in the Batman Arkham franchise. If that is the case, as well as what Insomniac was alluding to, then this game will be even more amazing than I thought. A truly, skill based swinging system. Never thought I'd see the day.
Kayz ' I imagine it'll be similar to the Grapnel gun from batman, you were able to upgrade it in Arkham City and Auto upgrade in Arkham Knight 😀

Mr. Negative, Miles Morales, New suit, New story, enhanced combat system, realistic Web-Slinging mechanics, Environmental interactions along with amazing graphics, Epic acrobatic parkour, and superb voice acting! I've also been informed that you'd get to free roam as Peter, himself (correct me if I'm wrong)! This looks as if it will be an awesome game since the Ultimate Spider-Man, Shattered Dimensions, Web of Shadows, and the Spider-Man Trilogy games!
Free roaming as Peter hasn't been confirmed, but Insomniac has gone out and said that this will be more of a Peter Parker story, and that he's VERY essential to the plot.
I think there may be levels where you're Peter in a labratory or in school and a villian attacks and you don't have time to get your suit so you have to run away acting as a normal human.
Guy Randall web of shadows is the best spiderman game so far in my opinion

@@ek2who literally all the games I mention never dipped to 20 fps, they rarely went to 28 the least. Locked at 30 with some games at resolution being at 1440p on ps4 pro 1080p on base ps4 is more than acceptable for hardware that is almost 8 years old. Wtf are even talking about.

I am actually here to see how the OG PS4 Spider-Man gameplay trailer was, and seeing TONS of differences between the gameplay shown here and what we actually got Day 1 on the PS4.
The gameplay mechanics, the HUD, a lot of animations, and also so many graphics have been polished for the purpose of the game!
Also I am grateful that the real game does not have ranking for the combo streak.
This means one thing, Spider-Man 2 has another 4 to 5 months. There are gonns be HUGE changes as we have seen, especially the HUD that can be polished further, and the graphics will hopefully be optimised further. It's mostly the color grading that bothers me as of now...
Anyways, looking forward to the new game!

EDIT: Alright, 3 weeks latter, just got the game today. My god. Yes. This is the game I thought it was. Amazing. Spectacular. Superior. This game is awesome. Just finished the fight With Shocker in the bank. Even though I already know the story, and ending, I can't wait to play more and collect everything.
