I want to add to this that as a whale those pop up packs are super important. You can get a real progress chain if you upgrade heroes to Legendary+. Every time you do that this will trigger a pack that will give you more epic summons and hero essence. Get those packs, they are huge progress

hey, a spender question: I haven't pulled on Vala cause I think that rate up banner is a bit of a scam with those A heroes percentages, so, after getting my roster down, I saved gems and holding like 55k on me or something, keeping top 5-6 in all content. How would you deal with the gems, I was thinking saving up everything for like two weeks, look at new rate up banner, and maybe just add Vala to wishlist and spend all crystals to get a good number of supreme characters going while having a chance to get Vala as well (I only have 2 atm). But I also feel like this will hold me back during those two weeks as I am not upgrading my characters compared to all other players (especially prominent in PvP, of course), and I have like 4 souls stones for S characters waiting for 1 more copy to get to supreme, so I am baffled on what to do to be most effective. Probably save? My Reinier is at mythic rn, waiting for a chance to grab two more copies
55k gems is a ton. I am not sure when they are gonna add Vala to the wishlist. Right now you could get many copies in the banner. I dont think the banner is quite that bad. Atleast you can get a ton of Vala copies and maybe upgrade her to supreme+. Personally I would probably go for her. The advantage would be that you can build up a stronger main team. Regular summons would probably lead to multiple heroes at lower upgrade levels. In the long run you probably sacrifice and initial higher content push for a better overall hero progress. Going for Vala is probably more competitive in the short run. In the long run you will have to compensate with more summons, likely from spending, for the loss in other heroes. Very possible but its your decision and depends on how much you plan to spend
@Wraec another problem is that theoretically 55k gems is only 4 guarantees for Vala, (can get to 5 with 5k more gems though), of course, so if I would go hard pity 5 times, I am pretty much doomed, with not even mythic+ Vala and zero gems in the pocket, which keeps me being scared of that rate up banner... Community seems to think that Vala will become a part of the normal pull roster after her banner ends, which sounds about right to me, I got her skin from VIP levels, surely they won't just make her fully limited. Okay, let's say that hypothetically I decide not to pull Vala right now, would spending down on standard be the play, or does saving has any value (apart if maybe saving enough for 6 copies guarantees on next rate up banner)

Beyond that you will get more gems during the next two weeks. Is a difficult decision. Both saving and using the gems have upsides and downsides. I dont see a clear winning side here so maybe just go for what you think is more fun :-)
So I plan on playing by spending on the $5 monthly for 12k diamonds and saving up for 6-8 months so that I can get a supreme+ unit once we start getting extreme powercreeps while using Arena/Guild/Dream to get my other units to max. For Arena shop though would you recommend anyone in particular to focus on to get the supreme+ that'll stand the test of time for pve oriented content? Rowan seems to be the safest pick due to being a generator type unit but would love your input.
Question, I’m a free to play player I’m currently at 230 in the afk level. Would you say it’s more important to have your best teams that are all S tier? I always feel confused as to if I should ever use the A tier heroes as well because surely S tier are stronger? I currently have 8 legendaries it’s going really well :) I haven’t even done 400 summons yet lol
No in this game that is actually not the case. Some A Tiers are super strong. I recommend you check out the tierlist on prydwen.gg Examples of great A Tiers are Damian, Odie and Marilee

i quit spending on idle heroes for this game, its so good, i hope devs keep pouring love into it

Well it depends on the server you are on and what you mean by competitive. On S33 like 2.5k and on one of the newer servers probably a fifth of that
