Wallpaper with swirls or just floral motifs are NOT art nouveau. This is a very specific style. Yes, adding art nouveau pieces to a room is marvelous, but the colder, more stark mid century pieces do not mix will with it. This video is too short and misses too much information for those unfamiliar with art nouveau.
Thanks so much for your comment. I did a little more research to make sure the information was correct and found that floral motifs were most popular there were cases of swirls. Favourite art styles are obviously Nouveau and Deco detail is beautiful. Arts and Crafts was interesting. The themes that started to emerge from Bauhaus would have really been stunning, had Hitler not interrupted. He did worse things, I know, but that bit was just annoying. I can begin to imagine where style might have gone with developing new materials and finishes,but hey ho, the ravages of war on economies made every thing rather shift to a recovery period rather than onwards and upwards as before. All good from around the beginnings of the C20th.
