  • ► Celebrating the life of Oldest Living Actors and Actresses over 90 years old, 2022
► Hello everyone and welcome back to Mystery Scoop.
Sometime it's easy to forget that some of Hollywood's most iconic actors and actresses are still alive and well today. Some of them have been there since the early days of Hollywood's Golden Age, so they've seen it all. For better or for worse, each of these actors is a legend in their own right. We present a list of some of today's oldest living actors, true luminaries of the screen who have delivered unforgettable performances in the past. Look through to see if you can spot your favourite ones.
Many of the actors in this video are true living centenarians, few of them still active. Video includes then and now photos of celebrity actors and actresses.

My wife's uncle Donald Elson is 98, living at the Motion Picture and Television Fund retirement home, and his imdb page lists 50+ acting credits. But he was also in Broadway plays (including one with Angela Lansbury), dozens of commercials (including a very famous Britney Spears Pepsi spot), and featured in many print and social media advertising campaigns over his 70+ year career. A very recognizable character actor, if not a star.

With a name like Trixie I was always surprised that it was played by the demur , lady like Joyce Randolph . That is until I read some where that the role was originally played by Elaine Stritch briefly and that " Trixie" was supposed to an ex stripper that was won by ex stage door Johnny Ed Norton . It was decided to have part played by the more lady like Randolph instead of the earthy Stritch . Anyway Randolph got married and was no longer part of the latter day Honeymooners with Jean Kean taking over the part , she sounded more like a stripper to me . The others of the foursome had successful careers and are long gone but Randolph is presently as of Mar 2022 still alive . She is the longest living cast member . She will always be the forgotten cast member of The Honeymooners

I had a funny encounter with Angie Dickinson many moons ago at Universal City Walk. A concert and an opening night movie both let out at the same time and suddenly everyone was jammed into a bottleneck on City Walk. Right next to me a woman tilted her head back and yelled something like "Would everybody please just keep moving!" I chuckled slightly and thought to myself 'my sentiments exactly'. I was about to say 'thank you' or 'yeah really' or some such thing only to realize it was Angie Dickinson. All I could manage was a startled "Oh" and she gave me a big grin.

I know. I'm thinking in particular of the recent loss of Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols. Star Trek came out when my father was a teenager, and I grew up with it, but I didn't really care about it until I was 10 when I saw Star Trek III, and then I "got it". Watched every episode that summer. Now there are three. I never imagined I'd be this old and they'd still be alive. But William Shatner is still so active and vibrant. It's hard to believe he's 91. I hope he lives 15 more years.

There's an interesting historical tidbit concerning the oldest person recorded on this list. At the beginning of 1939, producer David O. Selznick had narrowed down his search to two candidates for an actress to play the part of Melanie Hamilton in Gone With the Wind---Olivia de Havilland and Marsha Hunt. Selznick told Marsha that she had won the part as Warner Brothers (the studio holding de Havilland's contract) refused to release her. Just hours before the announcement to the press of the final casting of GWTW, the logjam with Warner Brothers was broken and Olivia won the part. This leads to a unusual question. What are the odds of the two finalists for one of the principal roles in the biggest motion picture of all time both reaching the age of 104?
