The people that go on this crap are chosen and their items valued off camera. They know what it's worth when they sit down with a dealer. I worked next to an auction house that appears on this programme and the auctioneer said its fixed and said Dickinson is no expert, but did say he was a right knob.
@@DavidJones-wx4im Sounds like the auctioneer was a tad jealous. For someone who is no expert "the duke" certainly did well in the trade long before he hit the TV screens.
Imagine walking into her shop with an original Rembrandt. She'd give you £25 for it then change the fiver for a nice crisp tenner and look at you with her dour fish face and expect you to accept it.
Now that's a verified original Picasso sketch with his thumbprint on the edge. I'll give you £4 for it? Five pounds? All right "six!" David staggers over, "Picasso? I would 'pick' that six pound up that's a good deal! The innnnnnnnnndependant verr'fiers say it's only worth seven!"
Seems like telescope guy got quite ripped off, would think collectors would pay big money for that and he could have made more selling elsewhere or at auction. A lot of these people I don't think realize the market or what they have. Now that we have so many ways to sell things it amazes me that these shows still exist though I know this is dated
This should be classed under adult entertainment as I've never seen so many people get screwed in so short a time
She got slaughtered by that patronising ponce over the krugerrands

Jo's social skills leave alot to be desired. If I was allotted her table I would definitely pass
So right, she doesn't even mention any history about the items and isn't very chatty
Totally agree with you. I think she's the worst and meanest no skills I'd pass on her
@@user-dj4ld6sz9x can't stand her mean attitude. I'd sell her nothing couldn't do with her meanness

@@mackgerry She's not the only one - many like this in the buying and selling game.

what a load of pish
How did you acquire it, how much do you want, etc etc, just put a deceased amount down instead of messing about trying to get some for nothing
They say... Can't make it today 😂it's the same day! Haha they value the bits in the morning. And then go to auction 😂 stop it 😂
Some hope to get a deal that morning. If they have an event or a lunch arrangement they obviously can't go to auction
That’s bull shat about all them coins, he’d of made 5 times the profit.
That first woman with the diamond ring should of got at least the lower end of the estimate Tim got a good deal
55 diamonds for £140 ??? What was this woman thinking ?
Ugly as sin, hardly worth anything except the scrap gold value.
iwould have to ask if its got so many things wrong why you want to buy it All of them do the same
Love this show! ❤
Just 50p more 😂
They are all devious characters. Led by the most devious of them all.
Dickinson has served time in the nick for theft or fraud.
@@DavidJones-wx4im Long before he was an antique dealer tho
I would have thrown large vase in garbage with all the damage
But it's a Bobby Dazzler 😂
🌴Have a Great Day Silver 🌴
Good show
What a patronising deal on the krugerrand coins she got ripped off big time
I think you are a fine one to talk about ripping people off, named after a mafia man. You ain't no Einstein!
the 22 ct coin is worth £1900 . they are normally 31 grams
At least next time use some Vaseline 😂
Spending the money on a new boiler for her mum 🙂
And ?
I wish they showed this in USD in a caption or something so people could have a better understanding of the value of these items. Off to Google now😂
It’s not that hard to convert to $ . Just take the rate
Selling your grandmothers ring at the wrong time.

April 2024 ,,would got at least £4500
Those coins where wort£,5 million 🤣
You wouldn't take anything to these dealers, most of them wouldn't pay Christ and he was a joiner.
Wow
He shouldn't be telling her own is a good time to sell gold. Gordon Brown thought he was an expert in that regard too 🙄
People have unrealistic ideas of the value of things.
This programme feels so oily.
i would go to auction just so them crooks didnt get it
Most of the people in the auction look like they never made a bid in their life. They're only there because the library was closed.
Old notes, old show.
Very tight timmy
cmon David,no shame valuations way off on the Dalton, stick to suits.
Programme is a scam.
Biggest rip off show in the world.
Tim gets on like some old woman 👵
They don't tell you anyone can scrap it Computers in most homes today stop them from doing this I want to make 300 pounds he says RIP OFF
Good show
