    I'm a fan of the 24 paint challenge videos as well, but as a father of 3, a husband, with a full time job, etc. etc. etc., it's nice to see someone out there who hobbies like I try to hobby: around family commitments, whenever possible, and through exhaustion. Truly inspiring.

    Thanks to your tyranid videos I finally achieved organic looking flesh for my tyranid army. Always thought it's too hard to do without an airbrush but that feathering and covering it with streaking grime really worked for me

      You’re welcome. There’s more important things than painting toy soldiers, family comes first. A hobby should be something you find time to do when all the important things are done.     I just spent 4 weeks putting 45 hours or so into my Neurotyrant 😂😂 it looks great, but there's is something special about you guys who can get a whole army done in such a short amount of time!

      I have a marine army that takes me about a week per mini! It’ll never be finished at this rate, I’ve been working on it for years. I wanted this project to be quick and easy!

    I really liked how these turned out, great job. My only critique is the bases read as the same colour as the models, which makes sense for tyranids adapting to the environment, but washes the models out a bit. A bit of warm-tone pigment powders would be a quick and easy way to seperate them.

      I'm also doing basically this scheme for my Nids, black carapace with off-white flesh, glad to see if looks really striking and effective.

      It was really just for simplicity and to keep it quick, I like how they look but I can always go back and add more to the bases at some point. Thanks for watching!

    Firstly great vid and like the scheme, I've started a Tyranid army that's based off the Leviathan scheme but changed some colours. It funny as you got a similar situation to me I've got two young girls and a heavily pregnant wife while I'm trying to find time to paint between FT work and family life lol

    Very cool to see the whole army. I really fancied the first videos you did of this colorscheme and decided to copy it. I bought the tyranid combat patrol as my first warhammer army and have been following your brush tutorial. The models have come out absolutely awesome, cheers!

    Well done with that limited time! I spend so much time being neat, but I have a lot more free hobby time, so it works well for me. Still, there is no way I would paint even half of this in a week haha!

    Love this scheme, mate. I've been looking for ages to find a scheme I loved for my Nids and I've decided this will be it. Looks so good. Loved this video and how real it was.     9:48 protect the acrylic paint against abrasion (from rubbing the excess streaking grime off)?

      Yes, especially when using contrast paints. I also wanted to have a shiny look to them at the end to make them look more natural. Thanks very much for watching!

    What airbrush do you use?

    Im not keen on the black base and dark grey ground cover....too dark for a dark models....just a preference..not a criticism. Subbed.

      I wanted the bases be dark and keeping with the grim dark theme. A lighter base would probably work too. Also these bases are super quicker and need no effort! Thanks very much for the sub, it’s really appreciated

      It’s a great tool but does become a hobby all of its own. It can take a while to get used to how it works, how to thin paints and the constant cleaning but once you get the hang of it it’s an amazing tool to have. Thanks very much for watching
