I sleep in the back of my outback quite often. Usually that is when I've gotten to a trailhead or put-in way too late. I love this new vehicle but the ability to sleep in a car is huge.
*patiently waiting for the Brat* I still have my 2019 Subaru crosstrek that I paid off, and I won't buy a new vehicle until prices come down more. We'll see when the Brat hits the market if they will be 'affordable' or just another price gouge in a desperate market.
I attended an engineering review of Subarus resigned CVT. In a word, it's amazing. Don't discount the future of CVT's coming out of Subaru. They are going to be the one to have.
FWD for a truck carrying weight uphill is garbage. AWD is good, but expensive on tires and to fix. RWD maybe ideal for some people. Good uphill. Cheap to fix but doesn't perform as well as AWD. Not sure why they don't offer useful choices for pickup trucks.
With the popularity of the Crosstrek, I'm guessing the new Brat will be based on that rather than an Outback-based model like the Baja, especially if we are to believe the estimated ~$23k base model price. A Wilderness trim of that would be awesome.
Subaru needs to stop with the thick black plastic trim over the wheels. It's just a cheap way to make a vehicle look like it's more off road oriented... when in actuality, it's just tacky looking.
I own a 22 Maverick , What is the MPG ??? Also does it have Ford 360 Warning?? If not why would you buy this??? I got 25,ooo miles with 43.2 MPG More Hype then content !
@@xnihilo1044 Same. Get the extended warranty. I know when they first came out they would replace the entire transmission if something went wrong. But that was over 10 years ago. So I'd be willing to bet there were improvements.

2.5 L with a standard transmission that is a manual transmission would make a fantastic truck

kind of limits where people can buy them though, I live in a very snowy climate and rwd just doesnt cut it. Wish more trucks had awd

make base brat a 5 or 6 speed. dont want no cvt. a/c.....required. when does it arrive???? toyota lied to us about when. what says subaru?????

It's a lie. These vehicles will not be $8k. The dealerships will tack on so many things at docking that the MSRP will be substantially higher.

Maybe you're the problem. 😅 I have 3 and the highest is at 260k so far 25 years old and still fires up in negative temps. 👍
