I get my 4 year old nephew away from the cartoons and out in the yard with his diggers and trucks, I just add a bucket of sand and he loves it. One of my early toys was a Dinky horse box in the livery of British Railways, mum made some horses out of several layers of cardboard cuts outs glued together to form the shape.
