- Lecture by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). ISKCON is popularly known as the "Hare Krishna" movement, due to its members' widespread practice of chanting the Hare Krishna mantra in public. Srila Prabhupada intended ISKCON to facilitate the association and education of bhakti-yoga practitioners, and his followers continue to spread that mission.
All the learned scholars have given their opinion. The mind is by nature very restless, and one should not make friends with it. If we place full confidence in the mind, it may cheat us at any moment. Even Lord Śiva became agitated upon seeing the Mohinī form of Lord Kṛṣṇa, and Saubhari Muni also fell down from the mature stage of yogic perfection.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977) is widely regarded as the foremost Vedic scholar, translator, and teacher of the modern era. He is especially respected as the world's most prominent contemporary authority on bhakti-yoga, devotional service to the Supreme Person, Krishna, as taught by the ancient Vedic writings of India. He is also the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
Srila Prabhupada, as he's known to his followers, translated and commented on over eighty volumes of the Vedas' most important sacred bhakti texts, including the Bhagavad-gita-a concise handbook for understanding the purpose and goal of human life-and the multi-volume Srimad-Bhagavatam-an epic biography of Krishna, Krishna's avatars, and His many devotees throughout the history of the universe.

There are nine devotional processes, and any one of them is sufficient for achieving perfection.
The nine processes of devotional service are as follows:
1. hearing the name and glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead
2. chanting His glories
3. remembering the Lord
4. serving the Lord's feet
5. worshiping the Deity
6. offering obeisances unto the Lord
7. acting as the Lord's servant
8. making friends with the Lord
9. surrendering oneself fully to the Lord

Before going into the isckon temple , i shave my head with help of the trimmer completely and put the cap when i started chanting vashnu sahastranam , adharam madhuram completely in 2017-2018. It gives me self satisfaction , i cleared my all hairs and clean head.
Whatever stated by Shril Prabhupad ji is absolutely true but people in this material world are not ready to accept it by their mind because it is extremely difficult to chastise our mind but if we want to achieve his divine grace of Lord Krishna then we must have to pass this test. There is no other option available.
1)if we place full confidence on mind it may cheat us at any moment.
2) don't make friendship with mind.
3) SBSST- Morning evening beat your mind.
4) always chastise to bring in control.never give leniency.faults will grow.
5)living entity fall down when he imitates the Supreme.

For a jnani, think only of brahman inquiry, for a yogi, only of sattva thoughts, for a karma yoga, selfless thoughts, for bhakti, ishta. Many paths, all equal if they lead us to the goal. Different temperments tend toward different paths. Bhakti is prescribed as easiest in Kali Yuga tho.

You seem to be of understanding that to be free from all traces of personality and actions is the way to eternal peace. But what about happiness ? Soul is looking for happiness not peace.

There is a transcendental personality, Who can make even peace look like garbage. Even those who have merged in Brahman leave their state of complete freedom from miseries and are ready to take all pains to serve this Personality. That is the bliss of serving Him.
Srimad Bhagavatam 1.7.10
atmaramas ca munayo
nirgranta api urukrame
kurvanti ahaitikim bhaktim
ittam bhuta guno Hari.
That is why He is beyond Brahman. He is ParaBrahman. Brahman is just the effulgence from His transcendental body.
Bhagavad Gita 14.27 says
brahmano hi pratisthaham
amrtasyavyayasya ca
sasvatasya ca dharmasya
sukhasyaikantikasya ca
This Parabrahman is none other than the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Krishna.
This supremely blissful service to Lord is called Bhakti. This word is not used for any other activity.
Those who are practicing Bhakti are already Brahman realized. They are free from three modes even while acting. Their bliss is unmitigated and ever increasing even though they seem to be experiencing emotions but they are transcendental emotions.
That is why repression is not necessary to bring peace. When one is acting on transcendental platform, even activity will bring uncontaminated bliss of which peace is just a secondary byproduct.
That is why Bhakti is transcendental and beyond Brahman even in action.
Bhagavad Gita 18.54 says
brahma-bhutah prasannatma
na socati na kanksati
samah sarvesu bhutesu
mad-bhaktim labhate param
Goal of life is not inaction or peace. ANd neither does peace make one God.
Because there is a personality
Who even by action is free from three modes. So He is a transcendental personality. So Brahman is not ultimate. There is a Personality Who is the Personification of Brahman. The Para Brahman. Supreme Personality of Godhead Shri Krishna. Fortunate souls who have the rare fortune of devotion to Him also experience this freedom from three modes even in action and emotions. The soul is transcendental. So it needs freedom from three modes, but at the same time it is also active and looking for bliss, and so cannot remain inactive or peaceful even after liberation. Therefore it needs positive transcendental activity.
Srimad Bhagavatam says
1.11.38
etad īśanam īśasya
prakṛti-stho 'pi tad-guṇaiḥ
na yujyate sadātma-sthair
yathā buddhis tad-āśrayā
Neither the Supreme Lord Parabrahman nor His devotees are ever touched by the three modes even in all actions and emotions. Their actions and emotions are transcendental.
So all paths do not lead to the same goal. Bhakti leads to the supreme goal of transcendence with action leading to uncontaminated unmitigated ever increasing bliss. Peace is a reject in front of it.
this paths arent equal you clown. Shastras like Shreemad Bhagavatam clearly state that bhakti is the supreme path and only bhakti can get you to Vaikuntha planets.
