Joyce El-Khoury was a wonderful surprise, especially O Patria mia . Adam Smith has a tremendous potential but Imo it's too soon for Radames. Orchestra and choir had some great moments. No comments for Ms. Kolosova and NO COMMENTS for the Mise en scene.

Tag the moments where her Italian phrasing and legato was what Verdi wanted ,her beautiful voice,colors and stage presence was so strong! It’s her first Amneris and I find it mega impressive,as she is finally the real mezzosoprano that singing Amneris!
@@aalovemusic I dont think the audience would put up with a tenor who cracked his top notes in Nessun dorma or che gelida manina. I think it was Birgit Nilsson that once said "If you dont have the notes, dont sing the role"
Yes,there are many famous tenors who crack in their most famous arias,and yes,there are bad days for everyone,but I’d definitely not judge them,simgers are humans and “RUclips critict only compare them to the other recordings.
Horrible version of this best Verdi opera - this is proof that some operas are meant to depict the time and place they are written for - not some deprecate flat with metal bed! This production lacks the essence of the opera plot built around royals and slaves in ancient times - this production is of extremely bad taste - The tenor - Adam Smith - not good for this role - he sounds dramatic - better suited for Carmen or Puccini operas - not at all suitable for Aida - Sorry to write a bad review - but this is how I felt about this production - and Radames sounds like the Drunk Uncle - to say the least.... The lack of applause says everything - people barely applauded just of embarrassment for this horrible version of the opera - which they still paid for the tickets - lol!
Suis allé chercher des infos et photos de Néstor Galván, ce "messagero" étonnant. Bien plus beau et attachant s'avère-t-il pour moi que sous cette version du rôle qu'il incarne ici. Qu'importe, impressionnante la voix qu'il a et semble bien la travailler. Impeccables chants sans discontinuer 💎La mise-en-scène maintenant... : spectaculaire portrait de certaines honteuses (pour les autres) attitudes humaines. Ce qui n'est pas honteux, incarné avec sublime talent. Mon choix du mot sublime étant la seule différence, puisque l'acting talent est + qu'évident où que ce soit et en plus du chant toujours impeccable.
se questa e' aida io sono napoleone ' anche il cast di canto tutto deludente io sono qui a busseto davanti il seggiolone di verdi in piazza verdi ma di verdi vedo ben poco speriamo migliorate

Il ritmo della musica non è Verdi è lento discrete le voci femminili. Il tenore ha una voce secca e priva di armonici e colori peccato.
Amneris sounds better than Radames and Aida -
