I’m a school bus driver and Everyone knows that as a school bus driver you develop a relationship with the students. You watch them grow up into incredible young people. You love them and protect them as if they are your own child. And you watch them come and go whether moving or graduating. They become a part of who you are. Well on October 6, 2021 a part of me has died. A young man who rode my bus was killed. This young man has made a huge impact on my life and I will be forever grateful for him! The last words he said to me will resonate with me for the rest of my life “I love you Mr. Joe!” And he would make a heart gesture with his hands toward me. I know he may have been just playing around but those actions mean the world to me coming from him. I just hope he knew how much I loved him as well. He will be missed dearly. I love you bud. I lost my only son on May 6, 2020 and my daughter and her fiancée less than a year later on February 11, 2021. My daughter was my best friend. Everyone thought we were sisters. Here I am today (5/30/24) listening to this song and crying😭😭!!! Missing them so much. If it wasn’t for Jesus, I would be someone lying in a bed in a psychiatric hospital. Last year in January 2 of my brothers 1 sister and my mother inlaw all caught covid. One of my brothers passed away. My other brother had only 3 days to live but he beat it by God's will. My sister pulled through. My mother inlaw also passed. It has been so hard for me and my family. My brother was my rock. I use to call him my guardian angel. Now he really is. I miss him so much..:(
My baby and only son passed on May 1, 2021 at the age of 43. He had gotten over COVID and they were going to move him to a regular room. I called him and we talked a few minutes. He told me that his nurse was there to take him to his room. I said ok and told him that i love him. He said to me i love you mom three times. I went to sleep that was around eleven. I woke up around and started to call him but didn't. The next day my granddaughter came into my room and told me that he had died. I was shocked. My son was a very big guy. He was 6ft.and 3 inches tall. When they put (i say dropped) him on the bed a blood clot went to his heart and lungs killing him instantly. I thank God that He chose me to be his mother. We had a great time together. I have no regrets. And that's what i always tell others that when it comes to all of your relationships live them so that at the end you will not have any regrets. That's how i live mine.

My son unexpectedly transitioned to the other side a couple of days ago at the age of 21. 6 months ago he helped me put together a playlist for a grief and rage ceremony I was holding for our community..and this was one of the songs he contributed. Now, listening to this song I can't help but feel that he knew his time was limited and he actually helped me create my own grief and rage playlist to mourn and release to...grief is one of the most difficult emotions to navigate through. The hurricane that just hit Louisiana hit us the worst we all lost our homes out of four homes one made it so my mom was with me living a tent and caught pneumonia from the conditions we were in and died two weeks later alone in the grass while I was at work and I couldn't leave for lunch to go check on her that day and not even 30 mins into normal lunch time they called me they found her unconscious and not breathing this was oct 12 2021 and my dad died oct 12 2017
On this day of Oct. 8th my mother passed away at 7am in 2020 and it's been a year now but it feels just like yesterday. I've gotten better but some days I feel like shit and I'm missing her every single day. Not a day goes by where I don't think about her and it feels lonely without her. She was my everything... So please, spend as much time as you can with your parents or loved ones at that. It doesn't last forever even though you wish it could. But I absolutely love this song, it's amazing.

I was only 10 and didn't know the permanence of death. The deep void that is left when a loved one dies. The yearning to hear your loved ones voice or to feel their embrace. The desire for one last moment to tell them how much you love them. Very moving song. For those if you who have not told your loved ones you love them, tell them when you can as often as you can.

Hi your so right💕🙏🏼 I’m sorry for your loss, I know that pain, my grandma who raised me got sick 16 years ago and I helped care for her, we were inseparable, best friends, best grandma/ mom God has blessed me with, I miss her every day, I know it’s not healthy maybe, but I cry for her almost every night when I pray and talk to her because I know she can hear/ feel me, just like your moms spirit will always be with you🙏🏼💕 , so now I’m sick and disabled and my kids care for me, I’m blessed but also stressed, I lost my abilities to do everything including walking 😢 that is a huge loss for me and I’m mourning too I’m mourning the loss of my independence, I’m only 45 and unfortunately muscular dystrophy has no cure, muscles just continue weakening till completely gone, it’s the smallest things like picking up a pencil is so hard, I try to stay happy n positive for my young adult kids n grandson, I have good days n bad days, I’m in bed 23 hours a day, my birth mom is also sick like me, but shes walking with a walker, also getting weaker by the day, so it’s hard for us to spend time together, honestly I feel antisocial lately, don’t feel like talking or seeing anyone and that guilt is getting to me😞 I want no regrets if she passes before me💕🙏🏼 I’m in a funk I feel like I don’t belong anywhere, and most of the time I feel like a burden or ping pong ball. Although I’m surrounded by love , support and great help I can also sense their frustration at times, I have been to therapy but honestly it worked temporarily because my condition progresses and it’s hard to not feel some type of way, my great aunt passed away 2 months ago, I felt like a hypocrite at her funeral because I didn’t see her as much as I could,/should have, she was my grandma favorite sister😢and took care of me when I was little girl, may they both RIP🙏🏼 so yes everyone if you have family especially your parents or grandparents please don’t take them for granted 😭 cuz once there gone you can’t say everything you wanted to say🥰 thank you sharing your story/ feeling 💕🤦🏽♀️🙂😞 sorry this was long but I needed to get this off my chest, so stuck around thank you💕 appreciate you , stay strong and yes tell those and care for you love them every chance, at times I want to spend more time with my birth mom, it’s hard😢

I’m currently 13. 8 years ago my mom passed away. I was 5 years old. When I first heard this song on Instagram it very much so got me to break down in tears. I had brushed it off for about a month. I took care of my dad for 6yrs. He had Alzheimer's & Dementia. Sadly, I lost him on 3/12/22 from complications of a stroke. I knew his time was short but I didn't know it was going to be that day. It totally caught me off guard and it devastated me beyond words. I don't care what you do or what you tell yourself about the imminent death of someone you love but you can never ever prepare yourself enough for when it actually happens. This song makes me think about my dad, who passed away from cancer 10 years ago. He was an honorable man. He pastored a church for over 20 years and touched many people through his ministry. He started a homeless women's ministry home, a jail ministry, outreach ministry for homeless people, and fed many, many families for decades. He always sacrificed what he wanted to help others. My sister had my Dad unplugged in 2015...5 minutes before my son and I got there. She knew I was coming. I never got to say goodbye. Even though he was in a coma, I believe in my heart they can hear us. I felt like punching her out, but that wasn't a the time or place. But I have never forgiven her for that...😢

I am so sorry. I know that pain so very well. I lost my mom to covid Jan 17th 2021 at 809pm. I miss her every day. The feeling does get easier to live with, but you never get over it. It's something you and I must move on with, will never move on from. Your momma loved you from the moment you were born and never stopped. I know she thought of you until the very end. Just like my momma did for me! And just like my momma, your momma now understands better than she ever could before and can help you in ways you can't even fathom. The impact of both our mother's love is felt so strongly and seen so well by others. That's a very powerful light no one can take from us, from you. That pain we feel because of their absence is the price for the love we felt. It is proof to others and ourselves that our love was real. You are loved.
I lost my nephew about a year ago we were real close. We basically grew up together and I listen to this song and I realize that I should’ve told him that I love him more often life is precious. The last time I ever saw my mom, we argued. I was 15 at the time. I had no clue it would be my last time ever being with her. I'm 23 now, and I still break down and cry whenever I hear or see certain things. Don't ever leave a loved one on a negative note. Don't do so many "maybe we can next time". A few years ago I lost my grandmother as well, one of the last things we spoke about was that we'd go out to eat together next time I came home, since she didn't go with us at the time. I don't think I'll ever lose the pain of not being able to say goodbye.

This reminds me a lot of my father, he lost both his only sister and brother in a short span of 2 to 3 years. They were both in there mid 30’s and possibly mid 40’s. He is now all alone with no siblings to ever call and/ or talk to. The news about my uncle passing away last month tour me apart since I was pretty close to him. My birthday was September 20th and his was the 21st. He died on September 21st of 2021, the exact same day of his birthday and also a day after mines. It affected many people and this song really just made me finally let out my emotions. I don’t usually cry and I’m still young at the age of 15. But this song speaks and only speaks the truth. Enjoy the people and the memories while you have them in front of you, because they might seem good and well now but you could lose that person in a matter of seconds.

I’m a school bus driver and Everyone knows that as a school bus driver you develop a relationship with the students. You watch them grow up into incredible young people. You love them and protect them as if they are your own child. And you watch them come and go whether moving or graduating. They become a part of who you are. Well on October 6, 2021 a part of me has died. A young man who rode my bus was killed. This young man has made a huge impact on my life and I will be forever grateful for him! Last year in January 2 of my brothers 1 sister and my mother inlaw all caught covid. One of my brothers passed away. My other brother had only 3 days to live but he beat it by God's will. My sister pulled through. My mother inlaw also passed. It has been so hard for me and my family. My brother was my rock. I use to call him my guardian angel. Now he really is. I miss him so much..:(

My baby and only son passed on May 1, 2021 at the age of 43. He had gotten over COVID and they were going to move him to a regular room. I called him and we talked a few minutes. He told me that his nurse was there to take him to his room. I said ok and told him that i love him. He said to me i love you mom three times. I went to sleep that was around eleven. I woke up around and started to call him but didn't. The next day my granddaughter came into my room and told me that he had died. I was shocked. My son was a very big guy. He was 6ft.and 3 inches tall. When they put (i say dropped) him on the bed a blood clot went to his heart and lungs killing him instantly. I thank God that He chose me to be his mother. We had a great time together. I have no regrets. And that's what i always tell others that when it comes to all of your relationships live them so that at the end you will not have any regrets. That's how i live mine.

The hurricane that just hit Louisiana hit us the worst we all lost our homes out of four homes one made it so my mom was with me living a tent and caught pneumonia from the conditions we were in and died two weeks later alone in the grass while I was at work and I couldn't leave for lunch to go check on her that day and not even 30 mins into normal lunch time they called me they found her unconscious and not breathing this was oct 12 2021 and my dad died oct 12 2017

On this day of Oct. 8th my mother passed away at 7am in 2020 and it's been a year now but it feels just like yesterday. I've gotten better but some days I feel like shit and I'm missing her every single day. Not a day goes by where I don't think about her and it feels lonely without her. She was my everything... So please, spend as much time as you can with your parents or loved ones at that. It doesn't last forever even though you wish it could. But I absolutely love this song, it's amazing.

Hi your so right💕🙏🏼 I’m sorry for your loss, I know that pain, my grandma who raised me got sick 16 years ago and I helped care for her, we were inseparable, best friends, best grandma/ mom God has blessed me with, I miss her every day, I know it’s not healthy maybe, but I cry for her almost every night when I pray and talk to her because I know she can hear/ feel me, just like your moms spirit will always be with you🙏🏼💕 , so now I’m sick and disabled and my kids care for me, I’m blessed but also stressed, I lost my abilities to do everything including walking 😢 that is a huge loss for me and I’m mourning too I’m mourning the loss of my independence, I’m only 45 and unfortunately muscular dystrophy has no cure, muscles just continue weakening till completely gone, it’s the smallest things like picking up a pencil is so hard, I try to stay happy n positive for my young adult kids n grandson, I have good days n bad days, I’m in bed 23 hours a day, my birth mom is also sick like me, but shes walking with a walker, also getting weaker by the day, so it’s hard for us to spend time together, honestly I feel antisocial lately, don’t feel like talking or seeing anyone and that guilt is getting to me😞 I want no regrets if she passes before me💕🙏🏼 I’m in a funk I feel like I don’t belong anywhere, and most of the time I feel like a burden or ping pong ball. Although I’m surrounded by love , support and great help I can also sense their frustration at times, I have been to therapy but honestly it worked temporarily because my condition progresses and it’s hard to not feel some type of way, my great aunt passed away 2 months ago, I felt like a hypocrite at her funeral because I didn’t see her as much as I could,/should have, she was my grandma favorite sister😢and took care of me when I was little girl, may they both RIP🙏🏼 so yes everyone if you have family especially your parents or grandparents please don’t take them for granted 😭 cuz once there gone you can’t say everything you wanted to say🥰 thank you sharing your story/ feeling 💕🤦🏽♀️🙂😞 sorry this was long but I needed to get this off my chest, so stuck around thank you💕 appreciate you , stay strong and yes tell those and care for you love them every chance, at times I want to spend more time with my birth mom, it’s hard😢

I took care of my dad for 6yrs. He had Alzheimer's & Dementia. Sadly, I lost him on 3/12/22 from complications of a stroke. I knew his time was short but I didn't know it was going to be that day. It totally caught me off guard and it devastated me beyond words. The last time I ever saw my mom, we argued. I was 15 at the time. I had no clue it would be my last time ever being with her. I'm 23 now, and I still break down and cry whenever I hear or see certain things. Don't ever leave a loved one on a negative note. Don't do so many "maybe we can next time". A few years ago I lost my grandmother as well, one of the last things we spoke about was that we'd go out to eat together next time I came home, since she didn't go with us at the time. I don't think I'll ever lose the pain of not being able to say goodbye.
Same thing happened to me with my mom the last time I seen her nothing good was said and I didn't know that would be my last time seeing her wish I could take it all back

Lost my grandpa 4 months ago, he was more than just a grandpa, like a father to me and was always so understanding and honest. I miss his daily calls and voicemails. Just being able to hang out with him and watch a show or talk about all the old stars ✨ we should always be grateful for whatever time we have with someone we love 💕
I totally agree , all I have is my mother. I lost my father 16 years ago but it still hurts not knowing what it is to have that fatherly love and I recently lost my grandmother last year so no matter what I will cherish every moment that I have with my mom but stay strong we're in it together 🙏🏼🤞🏼
I lost my parents in 2021 and I heard this on FB it's such a beautiful song my father passed in October and my mom in November and my mom was my best friend. Her passing has been so hard on me and I felt like it was to soon and I didn't have a chance to say that last goodbye. I know I will be ok because Jesus pulls me back together when I feel like I'm breaking

I too, just lost my husband of 47 years, laid to rest yesterday. He was home all alone and had a heart attack so suddenly. If I could have only been with him to hold him in my arms and tell him how much I love him. I will always regret not telling him I love him one last time. I cant describe what this song and your performance with it has done. Long storey short, my father passed away 14 years ago when i was just a teenager. Knew it was coming for my entire childhood. It was hard, and thats putting it lightly, your brain has a funny habit of trying to suppress any and all type of memory connected to trauma. You just triggered so many memories back to me including my fathers face. More then I have ever had returned. Words just cant.... I appreciate what you have given me more then you could begin to imagine.

I lost my father to a stroke in February of 2019 and then in 2020 February my mom was murdered by her husband. This is all after I just lost my grandparents in 2017 and 18. I literally feel like my family is dwindling away and I feel lost this song definitely helps get to the center of my feelings.

Scarecrow... I lay here tonight and listen to this with my kids in bed and wait to cry as they fall asleep... you're not alone. It feels like we are sometimes, but God sometimes needs the good ones with him before we think they're ready. I've seen the devil take the closest from here to me test me to be mad st god, when in reality they made it to eternity. Just know that you do have family... in life blood can dwindle, but there is always a neighbor to help you and bring you in.

This reminds me a lot of my father, he lost both his only sister and brother in a short span of 2 to 3 years. They were both in there mid 30’s and possibly mid 40’s. He is now all alone with no siblings to ever call and/ or talk to. The news about my uncle passing away last month tour me apart since I was pretty close to him. My birthday was September 20th and his was the 21st. He died on September 21st of 2021, the exact same day of his birthday and also a day after mines. It affected many people and this song really just made me finally let out my emotions. I don’t usually cry and I’m still young at the age of 15. But this song speaks and only speaks the truth. Enjoy the people and the memories while you have them in front of you, because they might seem good and well now but you could lose that person in a matter of seconds.
I lost my brother on February 23, 2024 this Saturday will be one month he been gone. And me and my family were planning to go see her the next day to help out with the house she bought. I didn't go because I graduated and I couldn't miss it. I wish I had gone home and said goodbye to her instead. Now she flies high. I love you mom and I'm sorry I didn't go home that day. I promise to do better and get a good job on that cruse we went on together. I love you my angel.
