I’m a school bus driver and Everyone knows that as a school bus driver you develop a relationship with the students. You watch them grow up into incredible young people. You love them and protect them as if they are your own child. And you watch them come and go whether moving or graduating. They become a part of who you are. Well on October 6, 2021 a part of me has died. A young man who rode my bus was killed. This young man has made a huge impact on my life and I will be forever grateful for him! The last words he said to me will resonate with me for the rest of my life “I love you Mr. Joe!” And he would make a heart gesture with his hands toward me. I know he may have been just playing around but those actions mean the world to me coming from him. I just hope he knew how much I loved him as well. He will be missed dearly. I love you bud. Fly high with Jesus until we meet again. I dedicate this song to him!

I lost my only son on May 6, 2020 and my daughter and her fiancée less than a year later on February 11, 2021. My daughter was my best friend. Everyone thought we were sisters. Here I am today (5/30/24) listening to this song and crying😭😭!!! Missing them so much. If it wasn’t for Jesus, I would be someone lying in a bed in a psychiatric hospital. It still hurts so bad, but knowing I will see them again one day, keeps me going. Also, the beautiful memories. For all those on here, you hold on. Trust God. He is your joy and peace!!

Watched both of my parents break down and wither away due to medical problems and now im sitting here at 23 lost, confused and lonely. Im trying everyday to get back to somewhat normal but its so rough. This song hits me so deep. Lost my brother in 09 mom in 15 and my dad almost 8 months ago. In 1/22 I was in the fight of my life,to cancer they told my family it doesn't look good! They called code blue, and my family had a dozen drs in my room, and 6,or 7 nurses! They said they brought the paddles, and they was at my feet!! They asked my husband to leave the room that he might not like what they was about to do to me, he said he won't let go of my hand thru out seeing what they did to me!!`The pastor came up, and my family praying so hard the held each 1's hands, and held on so tight!! I was in the ICU for 6 months in a coma, but my doctor told my family he knew from 1 test what was wrong, so I went into surgery. Then I was fine, and finally got to go home! My husband stood beside, and made me fight! He was always there when I opened my eyes! And I beat cancer, but he couldn't he was my life line, my soul mate!! I knew it wasn't good, but I kept fighting him!! Then, I realize he had cancer when I had mine, but didn't let on to it! Sorry this was so long, but I wanted u to truly see the man I married!! He gave up the pain of this cancer that had in his body to make sure I was safe!! I know not to Question God! But why did I keep going, and my Husband died?? I hit to my knees when they were working on him saying he's the good 1, and I'm the bad 1! Just kept begging God! God wanted the light that was him!! But still miss him so much, and want him here, but God got a special light that is now a Beautiful Angel!! Thank u for reading this!!

This song makes me think about my dad, who passed away from cancer 10 years ago. He was an honorable man. He pastored a church for over 20 years and touched many people through his ministry. He started a homeless women's ministry home, a jail ministry, outreach ministry for homeless people, and fed many, many families for decades. He always sacrificed what he wanted to help others. I think about him all the time now that I'm older and have my own family. I miss you so much, dad. Can't wait to see you. Love you ❤️

Last year in January 2 of my brothers 1 sister and my mother inlaw all caught covid. One of my brothers passed away. My other brother had only 3 days to live but he beat it by God's will. My sister pulled through. My mother inlaw also passed. It has been so hard for me and my family. My brother was my rock. I use to call him my guardian angel. Now he really is. I miss him so much..:(

My baby and only son passed on May 1, 2021 at the age of 43. He had gotten over COVID and they were going to move him to a regular room. I called him and we talked a few minutes. He told me that his nurse was there to take him to his room. I said ok and told him that i love him. He said to me i love you mom three times. I went to sleep that was around eleven. I woke up around and started to call him but didn't. The next day my granddaughter came into my room and told me that he had died. I was shocked. My son was a very big guy. He was 6ft.and 3 inches tall. When they put (i say dropped) him on the bed a blood clot went to his heart and lungs killing him instantly. I thank God that He chose me to be his mother. We had a great time together. I have no regrets. And that's what i always tell others that when it comes to all of your relationships live them so that at the end you will not have any regrets. That's how i live mine.

The hurricane that just hit Louisiana hit us the worst we all lost our homes out of four homes one made it so my mom was with me living a tent and caught pneumonia from the conditions we were in and died two weeks later alone in the grass while I was at work and I couldn't leave for lunch to go check on her that day and not even 30 mins into normal lunch time they called me they found her unconscious and not breathing this was oct 12 2021 and my dad died oct 12 2017

My mother died when I was 10. Many years have passed since. I heard the 1st 6 second of this and it just brought me back to all the memories, so bitter sweet. I was only 10 and didn't know the permanence of death. The deep void that is left when a loved one dies. The yearning to hear your loved ones voice or to feel their embrace. The desire for one last moment to tell them how much you love them.

Hi your so right💕🙏🏼 I’m sorry for your loss, I know that pain, my grandma who raised me got sick 16 years ago and I helped care for her, we were inseparable, best friends, best grandma/ mom God has blessed me with, I miss her every day, I know it’s not healthy maybe, but I cry for her almost every night when I pray and talk to her because I know she can hear/ feel me, just like your moms spirit will always be with you🙏🏼💕 , so now I’m sick and disabled and my kids care for me, I’m blessed but also stressed, I lost my abilities to do everything including walking 😢 that is a huge loss for me and I’m mourning too I’m mourning the loss of my independence, I’m only 45 and unfortunately muscular dystrophy has no cure, muscles just continue weakening till completely gone, it’s the smallest things like picking up a pencil is so hard, I try to stay happy n positive for my young adult kids n grandson, I have good days n bad days, I’m in bed 23 hours a day, my birth mom is also sick like me, but shes walking with a walker, also getting weaker by the day, so it’s hard for us to spend time together, honestly I feel antisocial lately, don’t feel like talking or seeing anyone and that guilt is getting to me😞 I want no regrets if she passes before me💕🙏🏼 I’m in a funk I feel like I don’t belong anywhere, and most of the time I feel like a burden or ping pong ball. Although I’m surrounded by love , support and great help I can also sense their frustration at times, I have been to therapy but honestly it worked temporarily because my condition progresses and it’s hard to not feel some type of way, my great aunt passed away 2 months ago, I felt like a hypocrite at her funeral because I didn’t see her as much as I could,/should have, she was my grandma favorite sister😢and took care of me when I was little girl, may they both RIP🙏🏼 so yes everyone if you have family especially your parents or grandparents please don’t take them for granted 😭 cuz once there gone you can’t say everything you wanted to say🥰 thank you sharing your story/ feeling 💕🤦🏽♀️🙂😞 sorry this was long but I needed to get this off my chest, so stuck around thank you💕 appreciate you , stay strong and yes tell those and care for you love them every chance, at times I want to spend more time with my birth mom, it’s hard😢

I just lost my Mom and this song makes me think about her because I am alone now during the winter. My family deserted me for no reasons leaving me to handle all the financial and emotional responsibilities all alone knowing I’m not working. I quit my job and was caring for my Mom 24/7. My sister had my Dad unplugged in 2015...5 minutes before my son and I got there. She knew I was coming. I never got to say goodbye. Even though he was in a coma, I believe in my heart they can hear us. I felt like punching her out, but that wasn't a the time or place. But I have never forgiven her for that...😢
Your Dad will always be with you. You just have to watch, look and listen. His body was just his vessel here on Earth and now he's much better off flying high with the birds. Learn to forgive, but never forget. It's what he would have wanted.

I took care of my dad for 6yrs. He had Alzheimer's & Dementia. Sadly, I lost him on 3/12/22 from complications of a stroke. I knew his time was short but I didn't know it was going to be that day. It totally caught me off guard and it devastated me beyond words. I don't care what you do or what you tell yourself about the imminent death of someone you love but you can never ever prepare yourself enough for when it actually happens. Its been over a year now since he left this earth & the pain is indescribable. There's just no words. But this song... It takes the words directly from my broken heart! Thank you for singing such a beautiful masterpiece!💜💔

I cant describe what this song and your performance with it has done. Long storey short, my father passed away 14 years ago when i was just a teenager. Knew it was coming for my entire childhood. It was hard, and thats putting it lightly, your brain has a funny habit of trying to suppress any and all type of memory connected to trauma. I lost my wife almost two years ago. I can’t believe I just wrote that because the way my heart misses her it could have been two days ago. I did tell her I loved her but I didn’t say goodbye… how could I have known? She died while we were visiting relatives for Christmas. I drove down with her singing Christmas carols and drove back home alone with her suitcase riding instead where she sat.
I still can’t open that suitcase… her little shoes… her favorite sweater… the hat she insisted on bringing in case it got cold in Florida. She loved that hat, and it’s sitting in my attic with probably a few golden hairs on it… her hair. And I’m just so lost without her.

This Song helped me a bit as I continued to listen to it the more truth it spoke. I lost my mom in February this year to kidney failure. And me and my family were planning to go see her the next day to help out with the house she bought. I didn't go because I graduated and I couldn't miss it. I wish I had gone home and said goodbye to her instead. Now she flies high. I love you mom and I'm sorry I didn't go home that day. I promise to do better and get a good job on that cruse we went on together. I love you my angel.

This reminds me a lot of my father, he lost both his only sister and brother in a short span of 2 to 3 years. They were both in there mid 30’s and possibly mid 40’s. He is now all alone with no siblings to ever call and/ or talk to. The news about my uncle passing away last month tour me apart since I was pretty close to him. My birthday was September 20th and his was the 21st. He died on September 21st of 2021, the exact same day of his birthday and also a day after mines. It affected many people and this song really just made me finally let out my emotions. I don’t usually cry and I’m still young at the age of 15. But this song speaks and only speaks the truth. Enjoy the people and the memories while you have them in front of you, because they might seem good and well now but you could lose that person in a matter of seconds.

It's something you and I must move on with, will never move on from. Your momma loved you from the moment you were born and never stopped. I know she thought of you until the very end. Just like my momma did for me!
