there are a lot of pages in your art journal which love! thanks again for sharing. 💜A few years ago I had an old fairy tale book with text and pics and I used it as an art journal and overpainted every page. One could see some types or pics shining through and I loved it so much to work in it. It's already full and I've never got a book with pages thick and sturdy like this one had...
Oh Kirsten, I love using old books as art journals too. They give such an interesting starting point--no blank page! I find it fun to use a variety of art journals--some purchased and some created from books. I originally worked through one at a time but now I have 7 going. Thanks for watching and letting me know!
So much inspiration 👏🙏🥰 i loved the four fishes that was swimming in the ocean and the 3 yellow figures that was going to town of fun 😂👏🤪 your greens and neutrals with the dark is gorgeous 😍👏 lots of love from Arctic Norway 🥰🍀🌼🌸
I love that you learn about yourself as you're going through this. Interesting the themes that present themselves. I love the joy you find in simple things - it's validating to my geeky self that just adores colors and shapes.
Oh Kim, thanks so much for all that reflection about the video! My hope is always to try and connect with and encourage other creatives--your kind words have given me validation as well!
Took the day off for my bday to have an adventure day and some kinked my back last night😢. So here I am quite happily actually watching yt art videos. I love this one, what fun to see all your work. It’s inspiring. Thanks for sharing
What a fab Art Journal you created. I especially love the fabric page with the stencil/modelling paste which has made me curious to try it out. Thankyou for your time and generosity to do this flip through. What the world needs now is more Art Sweet Art. 💖
I do hope you try the modeling paste on fabric Andrea--it is such a fun and unique way to create texture. Let me know if you give it a try. Thanks for watching! And I agree the world could always use more ART!
Very cool Pam W😮W~!! Soo unique is your style!! Love all the layering you do. I think I stop at too few layers!! Ha!! No, truly tho!! And lately I have been working in a lot of watercolors, but you make me want to get right back to acrylics and make the pages NICE AND THICK!! What size is your beautiful journal, and what is the weight of the paper? Thanks so much!! ~❤~ 😊
Thank you for your kind words! I must say, I envy your ability to use watercolors--they are so beautiful. I'll admit that I need texture, layers, and imperfection in the art I make, so that is why I lean heavily on acrylics. The art journal size, I think is 9X12 and 98-lb paper
Your pink "canoes"...I saw birds in those shapes. Very cool💜
Oh Joanne, I love that! Our eyes all see something different. Thanks for watching and letting me know.
