I remember when we used to have double elastic in our poles say an 8 and a16 you hooked the fish on the 8 but if you hooked something big the 16 kicked in it gave you so much confidence, sadly tackle companies didn't improve on the idea but the inventor was a genius.👍👍

Hiya Ben! Your the the man on you tube! So when poles are related to in elastic strength is that based on solid elastic? So if my pole is rated to 16 would I be able to say use 20 hollow or more or hybrid because this is very confusing to us. A good question I feel. Cheers Ben 👍

Top video ben. Probably the most asked question in fishing but what elastics can’t you go wrong with? I’ve tried a few and I can’t seem to settle. I just need to pick one type and stick with it. Mainly for carp from 4-8 pound stamp, any recommendations ?

Hi Ben , random question. I have acquired an old senses x30 8m pole. The top kit has a short telescopic section. How should I elasticate it? Bung in just the top 1?

You could get a pulla bung. It fits like a normal bung you just push it in further cutting it to size. The elastic will pass through the attached tube which needs to just come out of the section then you can attach the bead. Ill attach a link
