That splitter for the skid steer is best suited to splitting down monster sized firewood rounds into manageable chunks that can be further processed on a conventional wood splitter.
Agreed. And keeps the wood out of the dirt!
I can see this a great practice running that equipment. How much diesel was used processing that wood though?
How many fossil fuels were used to process the phones we’re typing on?
Answer that question.
Stop trolling
@@a.d.morton4624 I am sorry if you think that. I was just trying to point out that you could save time and use a diesel generator instead.
@@a.d.morton4624 It's a legit question. Money vs output.
Pointing out a fact is not trolling.@@a.d.morton4624
That looks like fun
Next task, a loading table that rolls the next log into place for the splitter.
A lot less back breaking and fun.)
Pretty expensive way to deal with wood. Hours on a track loader ain't cheap.
Well I never lol back in the day we actually had to work at wood.
Do what you can with what you have!
Scott, the esoteric audience would like to know if this was a "Split Decision", to purchase this new implement? Pun intended. Cheers, Mate.
Nothing like using 200k worth of equipment to split 20$ worth of wood
So YOU break your back, chopping wood then 🙄
FYI
That’s waaayyyy more than $20 worth of dead tree.
Stop trolling
@@a.d.morton4624Uh... those pieces aren't exactly large. It does seem to be overkill for the demonstrated task. Now if these were 24" rounds, that would be a different story.
the attachment doesn’t cost 200k, it’s public info what it costs. Would you criticize a farmer for buying a tractor because a tractor costs a lot of money? Would you criticize an arborist for his lift truck costing too much?
YESS thats the way, now if it only were on the ecavator arm...
This guy made one. ruclips.net/video/MuGdRYRlWEk/видео.htmlsi=mr-QggTw_z08Noas
Just cutting it up 😂
Sure seems like it would be less messy(keep the fire wood out of the dirt) if the splitter faced up and the mini could feed the rounds to it and alter splits fall to a pile below.
Legit question though-if you have a boiler are those rounds too big? Most people that I know who feed boilers don’t split anything under 24” or so.
Those people require backiotomies within two months.
Probably, but they get out of the work of splitting the rounds🤣
damn that company must not havent done the proper maths on that hydraulic cylinder?? cant possibly think they have.
all of that movement with the beast sure tears up the property. WOuld be better to have it stationary and use the little backhoe to lift the chunks on to a splitting stand
❤
