Logitech really needs to remake this keyboard, but with LCD display bigger like G19 in high res and also changes those G functions keys like Stream Deck LCD keys. It could be expensive, but I can see it would be worth it.
I got this keyboard a while ago back when i got my gaming desktop set up, recently went through upgrading the pc with some awesome new stuff making it current and still rocking this keyboard through another generation of games and is working flawless.
I got this keyboard in 2014 and don't have any issues with it whatsoever. Mine's still going strong lol. And not to mention I have used it not only for gaming, but I was in college and had to type lots of papers on it. I still use the G-keys for gaming a lot, not anything else though, and just use the LCD screen on there to check the time quickly while in game to decide when to call it quits for the night lol. Overall, I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who has long enough fingers to reach the G-keys while in WASD. If you have small hands you might want to reconsider. It's too bad you can't find them anymore! My only wish is that the keys were mechanical.
Typing this from my original Logitech g15, I love this keyboard and it has served me well for well over 5 years and still works perfectly with nothing broken on it.
the switches that you called "loud" were mx cherry blues, they are made for typing mostly and make a typewriter sound, im going to buy a k70 with mx cherry blues because i love the type writer sound it gives and it is heavy enough for my fingers.
Im still using G510 and i bought this one when it was released. Cant let go the insane ammount of macros that i use most of (one block is for shadowplay buttons, one for music control etc.) Also the LCD is almost a must for me since its the only clock beside phone in my apartment when i wake up and dont want to turn on the monitor for a flashbang effect :D

You mention that the Mic/Headphone mute does not mess with anything else. Unfortunately, when I owned a G510, that was the one feature I wanted. I use a USB Logitech G930 headset, and would've loved to be able to mute the mic or headphone from the keyboard, but this only applied to the 3.5mm jacks on the keyboard, and, of course, my headset was USB. the volume wheel had problems since the beginning , outside of that the caps feel worse but it has almost 10 years . Great keyboard , we need this new variant with Oled screen , Logitech .
You should be able to get your system stats on the LCD via Aida64 presuming this uses the same LCD-mon as my Z-10 speakers did. If so it should fit at least 8 entries for temps, freqs, fans, etc..
Yeah I know what you're saying, and I totally agree, especially with the Corsair keyboard part. The K70 is such a sexy looking keyboard, how do you like it so far? Also it's using Cherry MX reds, right?

the funny thing is you can actually buy silent mechanical keyboards. just don't buy blues, and you can buy o-ring switch dampeners to go underneath each keycap if its that much of a issue. to be honest i like the sound of my keyboard, and it sure isn't load enough to wake someone up in the next room let alone in the same room as me

well i cant argue with you then, for me mechanical keyboard is the most important thing on someones desk, you should test more of the mx cherrys because every user of mechanical keyboards obviously feel the difference
Found the original g510 in a thrift store literally an hour ago and i'm amazed. Paid €2.34 for it and it works perfectly after testing it. Guess they didn't know what they had xD
Out of curiosity, what scripts are people actually using with this? I haven't found much in terms of software or programmed scripts that makes use of the screen.
would this be a good option with its new price of around $60, im looking for a nice gaming keyboard for around $50 and was wondering if i should go with this maybe a deathstalker or a older/new logitech.
You can also apply scripts to this keyboard, so you could have your lighting on your keyboard slowly fade from red to yellow to blue etc all in real time while you game or do what ever, it uses LUA scripting (lua is moon in Portuguese...)
i have the G510, not this version. the elevating feet broke somehow, the keys are too mushy, and somehow i feel the layout out the keyboard is out of place. i have to adapt the key spacing compare to other keyboards, the macros key are interfering me when i press the esc button. those macro are pretty much overkill in gaming, but when come to programming or editing software with a click of button it gets the job done pretty well.
Sadly no you can't here. This keyboard here is about RM 320 - 350 here, but I think will drop since it's new. They are about price of RM 400 - 450 and without the independent macros , LCD screen etc. But it's with Numpad. If anything below RM 400 are those without numpad Those are more important to me , so that's why I would still support this keyboard over any other Mechanical. I know Corsair have similar to this , but that's for about RM 450 - 500 , a RM 100 difference is alot here.
it kills me with the comments about this not being a mechanical keyboard. Dude, not everyone like those noisy mechanical boards; that's why i bought this one and love it
really? i use mine heavily. measure fps, bandwidth usage, cpu, memory, and temperatures. all without mucking up my main monitor. i have many complaints about the g510, but i definitely appreciate the screen.
i got one of these for free lol,its actually really durable, only hiccup is that sometimes (rarely happens) is when i press the o key it press f11, 7,o, u and q,keys are still holding up strong
*THIS KEYBOARD KICKS ASS STILL* -The G-keys can be programmed to do almost anything. 6 of my G-Keys do windows functions, or quick start programs. -The LCD can readout almost ALL CPU GPU,RAM, FPS and Frametime information using MSI afterburner/PrecisionX (so you don't have to put it on main display) -The keys feel good for membrane switches -Audio/Microphone passthrough -Backlight RBG keys -Removable wrist rest -Media keys/volume wheel -Windows Key can be disabled with a dedicated switch above F1 -It looks amazing This thing is almost 20" long, so you'll need maximum desk space. Mine has served me amazingly well for years now and I hope they release a refresh with Romer G switches.
Can i just say as an fps gamer i prefer this over the black widow. The clicky feel to the black widow (specifically the double clicks on a slow push) drive me nuts when trying to play any fps. This on the other hand is an extreamely responsive membrane keyboard, so for fps player i recomend this
I had this for like 2 months now,and can safely say its awesome,it the start it will be very weird for you to use it due to the Gkeys next to your left hand but once you get used to is it is amazing,I barely do mistakes while typing the LDC screen is alright, the ligh on the keys is not too bright its just bright enough for you to see it and to not distract your eyes at night gkeys super easy to program and very usefule since you can do autorun and other cool things with it over all 10/10 also the volume whele is amazing as it helps out a lot
I'm curious. What uses have you found for the screen and the G keys? I never seem to really use them other than for Winamp and occasionally programming a G key script such as to pass the torture scene in MGS1 without breaking my keyboard.
Hy there,I mostly play shooter games and have no need to use macros or such, and all other macros that I would need in fps games are put on my g402 mouse,so I pretty much use the Gkeys for autorun and thats it since I dont need them for anything else, but the LDC screen has been super ussefule after I found a program for it I belive its called core temp look it up,super usefule lcd overlay, shows you the date the time your CPU and RAM usage, run time, stop watch speakers thing(I have no idea what is it for) and a internet mesurment like, how much up and down internet is being used, but the best part about that plugin is that once a program is not responding, you can just hold down the button on the LDC and fore the program to close, very usefule when ever you get those anoying crashes where the whole PC freezes
Leon Sullivan So I just need Core Temp running? Hmm. And you just press one of those buttons under the screen to exit the program? I need to try this out.
I see. Well the reason i didnt need the macro keys is because my mouse already has them. And corsair is coming out with different switches and color schemes for the k70 and k95 later. Not sure when.
think you should keep your oppinions regarding mechanical vs dome to your self, mechanical switches does not mean better switches, it just means different switches. I prefer dome to mechanical because its a nice balance between typing and gaming. Logitech has released many mechanical keyboards, so it does not make a whole lot of sense for them to change the switches on this specific keyboard.
Pretty good keyboard, but unless you use the macross keys alot, then this keyboard is honestly too excessive with the amount of keys it has. Best to get a much smaller keyboard for size management purposes.
Maybe someone could answer this. I have the headset connected to the pc. Is the keyboard separate mute buttons for headphones and mic just for the connecten ones that way or does it mute the whole system?
what do you mean with decent built in sound card? has i 7.1 suround sound? (whant a new keyboard when i have my new desk but my headset is 7.1 but my pc is 5.1. So its realy nice if it has 7.1)
Tell me about it, that's why im standing my ground on this keyboard it's still a better and prefer choice for me now. I did check Corsair , your right ,their K90 , it's only 129$ similar to this. But sadly no LCD screen , but least there's Independent Macros keys. But I wonder is the software user friendly like Logitech's
I'm trying to decide between this and the g710+ I like the g510s because of the dark blue surrounding the keys since my desk is dark blue it would match but idk
The G510 is not mechanical and expensive, you can find a cheap keyboard that doesn't have all that unnecessary stuff for 5 bucks, while the G710(+) is mechanical with original Cherry MX switches, you can't find something like that for 5 bucks. G710+ FTW!
clean hands don't do anything, you will always leave finger prints because yourhands naturally produce oils, only dry hands don't leave finger prints but they will only stay dry for a few minutes.
Manguydude Basically in a mechanical keyboard you have a mechanical switch that you trip when you actuate a key. For a membrane key board it's like a laptop keyboard, where you have little chiclet style buttons that push down a little rubberized button to (I'm not 100 percent sure but) complete a circuit. Like a tiny rubber nipple. Hopefully that helps.
***** Good point, however, membrane has to complete a circuit throught the latex sensor pad and mechanical has switches which is a very small compared to a sensor pad. this means that most membrane keyboards have a higher response time which can be really shit for gaming.
I bought this keyboard two years ago for $70 with FREE shipping. This is still my current gaming keyboard but I just noticed the price has skyrocketed for this thing. It was only seventy dollars two years ago but today they're selling between $230-360. What the hell? It's an okay keyboard but it's not worth more than I originally paid for it ($70). Why are people trying to GOUGE buyers for this keyboard? I'm really not getting it...
When I bought this keyboard I didn't realize it even HAD a mini display until removing it from the box but I have to admit I actually like having it. IMHO it was barely worth it's $70 price tag. I damn sure wouldn't pay what they're demanding for them today. The LED's barely bright enough.
no, im certainly not an expert, i do i know quite a bit about mechanical keyboards. As i said, i have used one before, and sure, it was "easier" (the reason i say that is because of my job, my hands and arms are abnormally strong lol, i dont feel a difference between either keyboard type), and its definitely much more durable, but its also really loud, more expensive, and usually less fancy than membrane as far as i have found so far.But you said its the "feel" of them, so maybe i just cant
Don't want or need the extra features of this keyboard. And my G110 is back to working fine, apparently water has nothing on my G110. Made it pretty clear in my original post why I didn't want or need the extra features.
No mention og keys being harder to press then your average keyboards. You acctually have to use quite a bit of force to press the keys, witch is rather annoying and takes some getting used to.
+Zee-Rex it's kinda the same as the integrated, i cannot differentiate really. and it makes sounds when you type, but not a loud one. it is an excellent keyboard, but man i wish i had purchased a mechanical one. this rubber stuff makes it feel so cheap :( but overall it is a very good keyboard though.
Silence and lighting is nice and all, but the actual feel and responsiveness don't come nearly as close to mechanical. I think the $120 price tag is way too high for something non mechanical even if it could launch a rocket.
Either way my answer still stands on my previous comments, since it's able to have for other uses too , it's still good i don't find it's a gimmick. But since yourself claim it is , you could just avoid buying it there's no forcing you to spend money on something which to you is a gimmick. For my case I have really enjoy using this keyboard and all it's functionality. I used Mechanical ones before I still don't get why I would want waste money on those keyboards its just way overpriced
from reading your comment, it would seem you know nothing about keyboards. have you ever used a full mechanical keyboard? shitty membrane keyboards, from what i've used, feel like shit to use, last me a year to 18months (if lucky). and you have to pay a steep price to get one with a backlight (RGB backlight is a nice touch but im happy choosing a set colour). you stated machancal keyboards aren't silent. depends on what keyboard. u don't have to buy blue switches. the biggest downside is price
I got this a few nights ago and posted it on Hotukdeals. Seems like I probably got the last one in the UK as a few mentioned they got theirs a few weeks ago!! I had a G11 for years and years and this new keyboard is awesomeness. (Had a Sumvision Spectrum for a few weeks which is falling apart/failing already). I'll stick to what I know. £34.97 for this G510s is a bargain.
+McAkkeezz I sent that one back and got a replacement. The second one worked ok but the software is horrible. It forgets my profiles and presets at least once every few weeks and I have to go back in and redo everything.
Guys. if you gonna update your gaming keyboard software. Don't do it. The update of september is a little buggy. After a few minutes you can't type anymore. It's update 8.72.107. The functional keys F1 till F12 is still working and also the spacebar. But typing goes not very good. I send a message to Logitech about this problem.

the pain of memorizing all those other key and what special function you gave them
There should be a way to individually color each key.
Where is the driver for this keyboard I use it and suddenly my volume button/roll dosent work...
i have the G510, not this version. the elevating feet broke somehow, the keys are too mushy, and somehow i feel the layout out the keyboard is out of place. i have to adapt the key spacing compare to other keyboards, the macros key are interfering me when i press the esc button. those macro are pretty much overkill in gaming, but when come to programming or editing software with a click of button it gets the job done pretty well.
Sadly no you can't here.
This keyboard here is about RM 320 - 350 here, but I think will drop since it's new.
They are about price of RM 400 - 450 and without the independent macros , LCD screen etc. But it's with Numpad. If anything below RM 400 are those without numpad
Those are more important to me , so that's why I would still support this keyboard over any other Mechanical.
I know Corsair have similar to this , but that's for about RM 450 - 500 , a RM 100 difference is alot here.
idk how i got here but is this the only review of this keyboard on the youtube?
it kills me with the comments about this not being a mechanical keyboard.
*THIS KEYBOARD KICKS ASS STILL*
-The G-keys can be programmed to do almost anything. 6 of my G-Keys do windows functions, or quick start programs.
-The LCD can readout almost ALL CPU GPU,RAM, FPS and Frametime information using MSI afterburner/PrecisionX (so you don't have to put it on main display)
-The keys feel good for membrane switches
-Audio/Microphone passthrough
-Backlight RBG keys
-Removable wrist rest
-Media keys/volume wheel
-Windows Key can be disabled with a dedicated switch above F1
-It looks amazing
This thing is almost 20" long, so you'll need maximum desk space.
Leon Sullivan
I think I've got that already. But what's this about closing programs through it? I'm not sure how you do that.
DGneoseeker1 try getting a program to freeze and it will show up on the lcd as not responding
Leon Sullivan
So I just need Core Temp running? Hmm.
And you just press one of those buttons under the screen to exit the program? I need to try this out.
just picked this one up. got it for 55 euro. so far very happy with it and good price too :)
+DeadPhoenix86 where
Ferdinand RUclips at a local game store.
Thrifted this for $5 was it a good deal? (It works perfectly fine)
I see. Well the reason i didnt need the macro keys is because my mouse already has them. And corsair is coming out with different switches and color schemes for the k70 and k95 later. Not sure when.
it does not have a usb pass through? G15 II had it... why did you get it removed?
should i buy this used keyboard in 2020 for $40? i am looking for keyboard that comfortable while programming/coding and casual gaming.
can you confirm if you had success with onboard memory? I can't seem to run profiles if Gaming software is not running
think you should keep your oppinions regarding mechanical vs dome to your self, mechanical switches does not mean better switches, it just means different switches. I prefer dome to mechanical because its a nice balance between typing and gaming. Logitech has released many mechanical keyboards, so it does not make a whole lot of sense for them to change the switches on this specific keyboard.
Which is made of gold right?
This is one of the most insane keyboards I've ever seen.
Omg i found this at a goodwill for 20 $ and it works
KingSalv34 great find
I found these (and other similarly priced keyboards) at Goodwill/thrift stores:
G15 $6.00
G510 (Not G510s) $2.00
MX5000 $4.00
what do you mean with decent built in sound card? has i 7.1 suround sound? (whant a new keyboard when i have my new desk but my headset is 7.1 but my pc is 5.1. So its realy nice if it has 7.1)
Tell me about it, that's why im standing my ground on this keyboard it's still a better and prefer choice for me now.
I did check Corsair , your right ,their K90 , it's only 129$ similar to this.
But sadly no LCD screen , but least there's Independent Macros keys. But I wonder is the software user friendly like Logitech's
How can you change the brightness of the led from the keyboard. I know it must be done by the software but is there key-combination of it?
I'm trying to decide between this and the g710+ I like the g510s because of the dark blue surrounding the keys since my desk is dark blue it would match but idk
The G510 is not mechanical and expensive, you can find a cheap keyboard that doesn't have all that unnecessary stuff for 5 bucks, while the G710(+) is mechanical with original Cherry MX switches, you can't find something like that for 5 bucks.
G710+ FTW!
+Solari it's $100 AUD
I got mine for 79 $ and the anwser to fingerprint is keep your hands clean! Great keyboard helps with fraps and WOW
clean hands don't do anything, you will always leave finger prints because yourhands naturally produce oils, only dry hands don't leave finger prints but they will only stay dry for a few minutes.
Just wear gloves, problem solved. Lol
Where did you get it? That's really cheap!
Can u do a top 10 vid of gaming mice, keyboards and headsets?
What's the difference of a mechanical keyboard and a normal one? Soz I'm not good with keyboards
Have you ever heard of google? btw, the "normal keyboard" is called membrane.
Manguydude
Basically in a mechanical keyboard you have a mechanical switch that you trip when you actuate a key. For a membrane key board it's like a laptop keyboard, where you have little chiclet style buttons that push down a little rubberized button to (I'm not 100 percent sure but) complete a circuit. Like a tiny rubber nipple. Hopefully that helps.
Thanks, helped a lot :)
***** Good point, however, membrane has to complete a circuit throught the latex sensor pad and mechanical has switches which is a very small compared to a sensor pad. this means that most membrane keyboards have a higher response time which can be really shit for gaming.
*You should read the best comments about Logitech G510s Gaming Keyboard* here amzn.to/1AF4ssv it's useful to choose the best product !!!
_On Amazon_
I wish the keys were brighter like on my Macbook pro
trying to decide between this and blackwidow ultimate
Why not a mechanical?
HardwareCanucks i know but the razer's quite a bit more expensive and it seems to have some reliability issues
For example K70 from Corsair (What i'm using) is in the same price range, mechanical and super solid!
HardwareCanucks i know, but i need green backlighting to go with my headset
Get a ducky keyboard.
Excellent Reviews...Very Well Done.... I Subscribed !!
Same here, paid €129 a couple months ago. Should've bought a premium mechanical one :/
WelshWidgetMan2O1O its probably because displays on boards are no longer a thing, so I think retailers are just having a monopoly
Made it pretty clear in my original post why I didn't want or need the extra features.
i just got it because i seriously trust logitech and trying to figure it out:D
No mention og keys being harder to press then your average keyboards. You acctually have to use quite a bit of force to press the keys, witch is rather annoying and takes some getting used to.
help the screen thing just says g510 and i press all the buttons and it doesnt change
Hey does it makes sound while playing games or typing??
and Is the sound card better than the integrated motherboard sound??
+Zee-Rex it's kinda the same as the integrated, i cannot differentiate really. and it makes sounds when you type, but not a loud one. it is an excellent keyboard, but man i wish i had purchased a mechanical one. this rubber stuff makes it feel so cheap :( but overall it is a very good keyboard though.
Insane Cuckooman thanks......nice name tho
this is my dream keyboard
Lol
I'm surprised companies are still making gaming membrane keyboards. I don't know of any gamer that uses rubber domes.
Logitech should bring this keyboard back in their new lineup

This or razer blackwidow ultimate 2014?
Silence and lighting is nice and all, but the actual feel and responsiveness don't come nearly as close to mechanical.
I think the $120 price tag is way too high for something non mechanical even if it could launch a rocket.
Either way my answer still stands on my previous comments, since it's able to have for other uses too , it's still good i don't find it's a gimmick. But since yourself claim it is , you could just avoid buying it there's no forcing you to spend money on something which to you is a gimmick. For my case I have really enjoy using this keyboard and all it's functionality. I used Mechanical ones before I still don't get why I would want waste money on those keyboards its just way overpriced
from reading your comment, it would seem you know nothing about keyboards. have you ever used a full mechanical keyboard?
shitty membrane keyboards, from what i've used, feel like shit to use, last me a year to 18months (if lucky). and you have to pay a steep price to get one with a backlight (RGB backlight is a nice touch but im happy choosing a set colour).
you stated machancal keyboards aren't silent. depends on what keyboard. u don't have to buy blue switches.
the biggest downside is price
no mechanical keyboard, but as long as it does not ghost... right?
MECH > Any keyboard
I just got this from PC World for £34/$50 on clearance. It is so awesome, mechanical keyboards make too much noise imo.
Same!
Just got one of these and the LCD has vertical lines going through it.
I hope you got warranty
+McAkkeezz I sent that one back and got a replacement. The second one worked ok but the software is horrible. It forgets my profiles and presets at least once every few weeks and I have to go back in and redo everything.
Guys. if you gonna update your gaming keyboard software. Don't do it. The update of september is a little buggy. After a few minutes you can't type anymore. It's update 8.72.107.
The functional keys F1 till F12 is still working and also the spacebar. But typing goes not very good. I send a message to Logitech about this problem.
I'm still using the G15 v2. This keyboard doesn't look that much different...
LMAO.i bought my 'old' G510 for just 55 dollars.they only changed the fonts and the glossy finishes.I really wished they'd make a mechanical version coz I really want that LCD function for time and song lists view while I'm gaming.
