After he got busted soliciting cartman online for sex as a member of NAMBLA, wrote a bestselling gay novel, got a sex change, scissored with lesbian Xerxes, and changed back to a man.
It's actually quite impressive that Trey Parker is not only a gifted voice actor but is also able to sing in the voice of a character he is doing. Their musical numbers are always both hilarious yet could easily pass as legit musical songs if you'd changed the lyrics. lol Treys theatre background & influence is clearly noticable here.
He went to music college. He's a 4x Tony winning, emmy winning, Oscar nominated musician. We're way beyond debating Treys legitimatcy. He's a genuine genius. He also graduated university in film and Japanese. There's no debating his legitimatcy. His gift to the world is he used it to make South Park, Team America and Book of Mormon. Instead of something super cereal he'd still get Tonys for. Then again he and Matt also made $1.5bn already so... What's "legit"?
