I use to watch my stepdad play Half Life, and he kept dying repeatedly at Lambda Core and The Maze in Opposing Force. He eventually gave up with those games and only managed to beat Blue Shift. I played through the games on my first try and beat all of them....
@@MajinMist603 i dont think so, if you havent play blue shift before, you may lack of ammo, as there are a lot of enemies and your first weapon is a pistol instead of a melee, making headcrabs more problematic, since you may fail some shots, and with melee you easily kill them, also the defense doesnt recover with HEV generator box or something like that, since the security guards dont have a hev suit, you depend from armor of other dead guards you may find around
Despite the facts that Opposing Force ends with Shephard in in a state from which he could easily be brought back, and Gabe Newell himself have stated that Valve is planning to "bring him back one of these days", no mentioning of him has been made in any of the Half-Life sequels. -Taken from Tvtropes
Great chapter :) Action packed Maze section, blasting your way through the Black ops-filled storage room then watching them fight the Race X while this music plays in the background never gets old, too bad the music short though.
But this is played at the beginning of the final chapter where Adrian fights the Black Ops, right? I remember that the music played at Voltigore maze is "Open the Valve"
Listening to these tracks literally made me wonder. HAVE I REALLY NOT NOTICED THIS BEAUTY WHEN I PLAYED IT MYSELF? Cuz apparently I thought this was just an ordinary beloved game of the series that I enjoyed. I can't say the same after listening to these.. seems like I missed out on a lot of awesome stuff.

@Doomhammer15 What terrorists? Do you mean the Black Ops troops? They work for the government too, dude... also, I think you're mixing up Voltigores and Vortigaunts. Vortigaunts are the green aliens that shoot lightning out of their hands. Voltigores are the large creatures that shoot purple lightning. You may also mean Shock Troopers, the blue aliens with shock roaches.
@burnout563 Stasis is a process that slows down your life process to zero. Shephard is not dying of hunger, he is simply detained in an area where time doesn't exist. How did Freeman not die of hunger in the 20 years he was in stasis?
My god they didnt removed the songs, ist actually Gearbox's fault!They havent replaced the song names(The file names dont differ from the original HL1 ones)in the .gcf, so the game engine reads the original ones from HL1.VALVe never cutted them out.

Half life 1 is much harder than Opposing force and Blue shift but I guess Blue shift is the easiest one because its the shortest . . . ..

You get only 25 hp and 25 armor from power stations.
I couldnt beat them at first with the shit controls, but I switched controls to mouse and beat them
If Adrian ever comes back he should stay an unsung hero. Opposing Force wouldn't be as good if the science team was cheering you on the whole time.
