J. Nufrio Do you know when NASCAR will post the Goody's Fast Relief 500 from Martinsville on their NASCAR Full Race Replays 2016- Playlist on RUclips? Also when will they post tomorrow's race from Texas?
Anyone who hated this race and says they want the old Bristol back is blind. I loved the race and this is just like the old Bristol just only the grove is on the top. You now have the option of slide job or punting the guy ahead of you.
bristol is where the real NASCAR is shown. A little oval track, steap bankings, exactlly what you want when you see NASCAR. But ofcourse, all the other races are pretty fun too.
Another great race and finish this year. It's a shame NASCAR has bumped up the prices for there races that nobody can go because of the economy. Hopefully that will change next year after seeing the empty seats each week.
No kiding. If the tickets were 70% cheaper those stands might be full. Youd make the same on ticket sales and probably 10x as much on food and drink, since people will have more budget to spend on things like concessions and souvenirs.
+Zach Hatten Some of it was the track reconfiguration, some of it was the poor racing put on by the Gen 5, and some of it was the economy. I think the track has been great since the grounding, I love the racing on the top. It's a lot like dirt track racing. You can do a slide job to get by or you can put the guy if you are unable to accomplish that. But one guy told me the hotels and everything else around Bristol priced themselves out of business. People can now only afford to go to one and the one you want to go to is the night race. The night race still has had a great crowd. He said when he went to buy tickets, they were already almost sold out.
Racing Boss that's actually really great to hear at least one still fills up. Bristol is on my bucket list. If I only ever see one more race in person, I want it to be Bristol and its just a shame that one of the most exciting venues in NASCAR looks like it's half capacity. I understand the economy has some people in tight financial situations and I didn't even think of the hotels being astronomically priced. I just hope something is done soon to stop any further harm to the sport. While Daytona rising was a good idea in theory, it prevented me from returning to see another 500. I went in 2013 on the back stretch for like $45. Now the cheapest I could get was over $105, way out of the price range for a college student
+Zach Hatten You also have to remember that half full at Bristol is still 70,000 people. That's more than 30 percent of the tracks on the circuit hold. I was on the backstretch at Dayton in 2013 as well. It was really cool, but the race was awful. Thankfully I was there in 2009 for the 400 and I'm going to Michigan in June for both the Xfinity and Cup races. May also be going to Iowa in July.
+skateski I'm watching the Bristol race right now. That's why I'm responding so quick. I totally agree with you on the rules package. I'm a part of the NASCAR fan Council and I've been pushing for something like this. So was the drivers. Lower DF allows passing because it allows softer tires and smaller wake of dirty air from the smaller spoiler. They need to keep taking more off because the teams gain some of it back. Also the flat right side needs to go. Side force is probably hurting the racing more than people think. From what I've been hearing, NASCAR is working on the X-3 car which does away with the flat right side and also gets the car off the ground some. The side skirts are raised and there is a gap in the front splitter.
+Racing Boss raising the ride hight could have interesting results. At the very least, if a car goes skidding off into the grass the entire front end won't be ripped off and they won't have to worry about bottoming out as much. I remember watching the gem 4 cars dip and lean as the accelerated and decelerated which you don't see nearly as much with the gen 6 cars
Years ago this place would have been slam packed with people. I no longer watch Nascar as is so boring, but is sad to see so many empty seats now. And when I am talking about years ago, I am talking about when there was one lower groove. Was a lot of fun to watch those safe races, and how mad the drivers would get with each other. I wish there was professional national stock car racing regularly on TV. I do not consider Nascar to fit this role. They are only interested in money, and that will be the death of them hopefully.
Its getting better , look at the 2015 , 2014 Food City 500 there were much more empty seats ! I just hope there will be lower prices in the next years and than I believe we'll see two full Bristol races again if the racing is good
I'm still watching this but I couldn't help noticing how empty the stands are. NASCAR used to pack this place to the rafters. Does anyone have a comment on this?
Sorry for being 11 months late, just gotta say I was at the race. There may be a lot of empty seats at the time, but it felt crowded as fuck when leaving the track.
The sponsorship is drowning everything so much. There's knob heads holding up signs behind the winner at the end...blocking the big sponsor behind it. which is the same company! think. everything is sponsored. Every sentence. Everything. advert breaks every 5 minutes. how do you guys watch this without getting annoyed!?
What’s to be annoyed about? They keep the sport going. When they’re gone - and the eco-alarmists and ESG socialists will ensure this happens - you’ll miss the high production value and quality racing these sponsors pay for.
Although I'm Australian, I love NASCAR!
I believe it is the best race series in the world for me.
Thanks for upload the complete race to RUclips, F1 learn this.
+J. Nufrio Not just the F1 and the all championships of FIA XD

Congrats to my nascar buddy Matt dibenedetto!!!!
Doing research for a video I'm trying to put together about him. I had no idea he started 30TH in this race!!! Holy cow!
Every night sleep to nascar playing it’s music to my ears 🎉
Dale made the biggest comeback I've seen from him.
Landon Cassill leads at 2:05:10
Shame that Cassill hasn't found a good ride
@@obscraft5375 lucky you rn
Whew! Still watchin'. We got us a race, boys!
Thank you, NASCAR!

Robin Bruggink Thanks! :)
NASCAR is my favourite sport😀
Mine too

great race

Carl Edwards' Food City 500 wins:
First win: 2014
Second win: 2016
Another great race and finish this year. It's a shame NASCAR has bumped up the prices for there races that nobody can go because of the economy. Hopefully that will change next year after seeing the empty seats each week.
+JohnnyFive Nascar has no input on the ticket costs. That's all with the Track owners.
*****
I never said it did. But It will start to matter if nobody goes to the races and money doesn't come in.
No kiding. If the tickets were 70% cheaper those stands might be full. Youd make the same on ticket sales and probably 10x as much on food and drink, since people will have more budget to spend on things like concessions and souvenirs.
Awesome A-10 Warthog flyover!!!
Whoa! What a save by Casey Mears! Un-freakin'-believable! Who can tell me his relationship with the Mears gang? Anyone?
Roger Mears is his father, Rick Mears is his uncle.
Can somebody please explain the deal with the batteries? I mean, these cars do have alternators, don't they?
It's a sad sight. There's no one in the stands anymore. I'm only 20 and even I remember 5 years ago when you couldn't find an empty seat

My son was born just in time to watch this race with me.. lol #startemyoung
So I have a question I always buy Michelin because they’re better for me driving a lot. But is it better to have the tires that they use
Love that noise with taking tires off
Damn love Jeff as a commentator. Did he and Dale Jr ever pair together in the booth? Would love that today
good job logano for finishing in the top 10 after the bad race
I was at this race.
I was at the race not for Dale Jr almost winning but for the Doobie Brothers concert.

CHINA 500 For The WINGS OF WAR And NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

couldn't agree with you more. nascar has lost its way.
More people showed up for a football game at this track than this race.
200 mile I have done about 130 and that's not fasten enough
Oh my gosh the empty seats. Remember a decade ago that would have never happened. Bristol tickets were like gold.
Its getting better , look at the 2015 , 2014 Food City 500 there were much more empty seats ! I just hope there will be lower prices in the next years and than I believe we'll see two full Bristol races again if the racing is good
+stefga___ not really, considering those were rainouts. And the weather affected the ticket sales. More would've come on a day like this
the car that's running 3/4 is running faster than the led car
you better as f**k do the 2016 Geigo 500.
I'm still watching this but I couldn't help noticing how empty the stands are. NASCAR used to pack this place to the rafters. Does anyone have a comment on this?
They put up the price to get tickets
+Huntar Chivers I see. Kinda backfired on them, huh?
+Richard Darlington it is a shame I can't go I am from Australia
+Huntar Chivers G'day mate!

"Ocean front property in Arizona"(2:45--). What the....?
+Richard Darlington It's an idiom refering to selling someone something that doesn't exist.
+Time2Warp Well, THAT one got by me. I hate when that happens. LOL?
Richard Darlington the trick to getting the joke is to look at Arizona and understand it's a landlocked state that's in an area mostly desert.
Goodyear I thought Michelin’s were better tires
anthem sung horribly
Lots of empty seats whats going on with nascar?
why do they use the old youtube player.
