I have lived this show from episode 1 . But the callous way that Elizabeth broke up with Lucy's has left me cold about the show. And how soon Elizabeth and Nathan got together after the brake up is shameful especially because she broke his heart and told him she couldn't live with losing him as a mounty and now that doesn't seem to matter any more. I will not watch another episode. You have ruined it.
Noone can say that Elizabeth and Nathan got together quickly - it took them several seasons and almost one whole season after she ended her relationship with Lukas. It was not easy for Elizabeth to realise that her feelings for Lukas were not enough for a lifetime together, and she clearly did not want to hurt him. There was no callousness about it, she was hurting, too, and everyone who ever had to end a relationship due to the realisation that their heart was not in it the way it should be, could absolutely feel with her as well as with Lukas. The new courtship evolved slowly and it was very sweet how careful and even hesitant they were to trust each others loving feelings. They did not want to risk their deep friendship and closeness by rushing into a relationship, but now they are building a life and a family together and it looks as if they were always supposed to be.
