Always a great feeling to take a pause, look back at the slope you have climbed on the way to top of lead mountain. Truly an impressive feat of painting. Bravo. The armies are beautifully matched and will bring you much joy on the table top.
Looking GREAT!! As always your basing is terrific! I have painted up 80 bases of Confederate Infantry and 100 bases of Union infantry (16 Confederate & 20 Union Rgts) based on the standard Epic bases... As I mentioned once before, I like your basing MUCH better.. the units look good with 3 bases a (Rgt/Bde)! Keep up the good work, have fun and be well.
Nicely done Bruce, I thought I was doing ok with what I’ve painted lol. Still got some catching up to do lol. I think I should end up with 32 regiments each side
Nice! I have just purchased the Gettysburg starter set, just need a few bits from Kalistra, but once they come I am going to get on with unboxing and building. Keep it up, they look great👍
I think you've got the wrong number of buttons on the tunics on that one regiment near the back. ;) Joking aside, dead impressive here, Leon. With the problems my eyes are having doing 28mm, I'd need a telescope to do these. lol. Great stuff as always.
awesome work mate! very consistent and high quality pain job! i'm still debating on copying your basing style for my upcoming pike & shotte projct. Still have to figure out how to do it so not to interfere with the available formations.
@@leont66wargaming31 even for something like Napo the basing could complicate things bcs of Collumn of Attack formations etc. Does ACW not use those formations? have you decided to just use 6 infantry strips per unit or is that common in acw?
Yes the formations during the ACW are quite simple. For Napoleonic I’m using half strips on half sized mdf bases from Warbases. which allows me to pretty much do all the formations. Using half strips could be the answer for the TYW, it’s certainly what I’d do if I were to do that period
Thanks Buddy. I’ll have to time it, I always batch paint a few at a time so no idea how long just one would take. Interesting question, I do get asked it a few times. I’ll try time the next one.
Thanks mate. No I’m letting myself game with them until they’re all finished. If not I know I’ll lose interest in painting them anymore as I always do lol

Thanks buddy. Yes that’s a concern. I think for the ECW it’s not so much of a problem but for TYW it’ll need a bit more working out
@@leont66wargaming31 tyw is what i'll be working on: so need to think about that a bit more

Quality stuff as always mate. If you get your head down how long does it take you to paint a regiment to that standard ? Base is spot on! Well done.

Looking great! You mentioned some were metal, which manufacturers match well with the Warlord?
Thanks mate.
For infantry I’ve found Kallistra are the best match
For cavalry, Peter Pig are better
Awesome stuff as always Leon! Have you managed to get them on the tabletop yet? If so how have they faired?
Thanks mate. No I’m letting myself game with them until they’re all finished. If not I know I’ll lose interest in painting them anymore as I always do lol
@@leont66wargaming31 very sensible idea! I just played with my WOTR army and not sure I want to build / paint much more of it!
Yep lol, that happens to me every time. Staying disciplined this time lol
@@leont66wargaming31 Lol yeah! I keep looking at my pile of ACW stuff, really tempted to start it.
