Yeah, outside of English, German really knocked it out of the park in terms of inflection variation and making her voice sound robotic and glitchy yet still understandable.

The "LET ME IN!" Scene and "Callback Ping" Scene are my favorite scenes in the German Dub of Episode eight, also the phrase "Schlampige Arbeit, V" roughly translates to "bitchy Work, V" wich i LOVE!
Her German voice terrifies me. But I’m also in love with it as well.

Nice change in the german version, instead of saying "easier to assimilate than to explain, anway" Cyn just flat out says "resistance is futile" and then the callback ping. I found the resistance quote kinda more fitting.
Not really. "Easier to assimilate than explain" is a past quote Cyn said in episode 2. Remember, Cyn is terrifying because it is an Eldritch horror that plays with its food. "Resistance is futile." Sounds too out of character for it.
@@crazy13alex Yeah I know that its a callback to her quote in Episode 2, I mainly watched the series in English so hearing the german version is kinda “weird” despite it being my native language, lol. I just found the way the voice actress delivered the “resistance is futile” very well, especially with the context that Uzi and the others are fighting back against her. My best guess is that they changed this because “easier to assimilate than explain” wouldnt fit into the translated script (and “assimilate” in german is a very unknown word)
But I do prefer the english OG quote.
We need more people translating these lines cause my English brain can only hear the English lines. 😅

I guess 'resistance is futile' is a bit more cliche in English. The connotation it has wouldn't fit the mood, making it either goofy in a way Cyn isn't, or being too mechanical for her vernacular. This is just my supposition, of course.

The french and german ones are actually really good, specially the french when Cyn is walking towards N and Uzi, they added and echo that isn't in the original, loved that, like in portuguese there a uh- growl like noise when Cyn runs onto the wall, love it when they add those little details
Outside of the english version, german and french are the creepiest. German is creepy because it fits with cyn way to well and is overall just creepy. French however, as seen with all those comment, is "cute". And thats the terrifying thing. That voice doesnt fit with her looks, she has a child voice. Where english and german are creepy in a scary type of way, french is creepy in an uncanny way
I love her German voice! It’s so terrifying but yet it works. Who voiced her in the German version did an AMAZING job.

_[Firstly theres Hello and Hi equivalents in Chinese so wtf were the translators thinking, secondly for how simple this dialogue is -THEY JUST BUTHERED IT-. “还有” is basically saying the next subject as an after thought, like a "theres this... _*_and also_*_ this", which is total opposite of what the scene is about -HOW DID THEY FK THIS UP?-]_

_["你不想理我" more directly means "You don't wish to care (leave me behind) about me". Again there is an equivalent with "you do not want to talk to me", to give that more casual tone in Cyn's words and I am just flabbergasted as to why they don't use it.
Also "了" is usually used at the end of the sentence, like an end of a sentence. Is still used in normal conversations but usually you won't have a pause if so.
The fact it has the pause after makes the construction and flow of the words SUPER weird.]_

[So there is no Call back ping translation, but during the part where UZI and N was hiding, "建立连接" (Establishing a Connection). It does give a different vibe that it means like Cyn is able to generally locate their whereabouts and does give extra tension to that scene]

[I actually don't mind this translation difference . "乖乖听话" Is a similar vibe when your parent says like "listen to my instructions like a good girl/boy you are", and "你不乖哦" is the same as like saying to a kid in a kiddish way like "Oh~ you arent being a good kid now". It gives some character to Cyn in having this vibe that plays into one's psyche, which in of itself can be kind of scary
On that note while the subtitle mentions it saying "我就放过你和N" (I will spare you and N), some reason the audio seems to go with "你们" (you guys) instead].

"该死的" (Damn) > Not as strong as the original insult. While a derogatory insult, "他妈的“ fits towards the same intensity and meaning. Also honestly the VA doesn't even sound like the subtitles I have no idea what she was saying.
