Not removing the laces is a deal breaker.
Two observations. Really surprised he left the laces in and didn’t use a brush to buff. End result still very nice.
The slapping reminds me of Bob Ross cleaning his brush. Getting some major ASMR from this one.

Yeah, but that spray can...reminds me of Bob Ross beating that brush and getting paint thinner all over himself. Makes me wonder if it didn't cause his cancer somehow after decades of exposure.

I think it's a great video for ASMR. At first the slapping thing was annoying, but then when I got used to it, I started getting tingles. I found this video relaxing to watch and I personally got ASMR from it.

Great shine ! You have to take care of boots so many people guys just don’t anymore
People don't seem to want to maintain anything they own. I always say not taking care of your footwear is like not changing or even adding oil to your car. It just won't last, same as boots. I see all over online people bitching about boots not lasting, and I guarantee every time is them not cleaning and conditioning them.
Even saw one commenter for a post on boot restoration tell the guy to grow up and just buy new ones.

I see a lot of people hating and giving this guy grief about his style, but for the end results I think he does a really stand up job! The shine was long, very well worked in product and I felt with that much hand work you would really work that polish and protection products into the leather. Might not shine as well but I bet it last a lot longer!

JeremySatan it gets the wrinkles out of the leather and it act’s like a massage. I’d pay good money for that.
JeremySatan Nar man, your totally misinformed. I’ve got a old Leather football and 2 horse saddles. Once you nourish and condition the leather, heating, rubbing and stretching straightens out creases. Once dry the wax is just for show.

For those who don't know this is a jail house shine.cause you don't have a brush on the inside.but you can get just as good of a shine with the right friction.

I'm no pro,but I saw many ways to shine shoes and boots while in the service. Many different styles and processes. Honestly,I've never seen it done like this. But if the end result is good,who cares. As far as the laces,I personally like them out. But thats up to him,and the customer. Nice job in the end though

Watching him light the Wax reminded me of my days in the Army, I always preferred Lincoln wax over KIWI. Now I would only use SAPHIR, I restored an old pair of tanker boots and spent more on shine products than the boots ever cost.
I just watched another video where the shoe strings were taken out, put into a ziplock baggie with some spray cleaner added. He washed the strings inside of ziplock bag, then as he pulled each one out of the bag into a dry cloth, he was able to pull all of the dirt, and grim from the laces. He was able to clean the entire shoe, underneath the laces, condition that part too. By time he was finished, strings were dry, laced everything up perfectly.

This technique of slapping the polish into the shoe looked so effective that I wanted to try it on my girlfriend, she was not amused when i slap applied her foundation.

An unusual shine. There is a lot of toe tapping. This is good for asmr but in a practical sense I wonder. Also, where is the brush. At least include a brush for buffing. The application of saddle soap should have been more evenly distributed. In fairness fingers and foot smacking doesnt shine shoes.

30 mins to shine a pair of boots! Tis dude must charge an arm an a leg! Last time I had my shoes shined the guy took no more than 4 mins and charged me $7!

Why do some remove the laces and some do not? I prefer laces off because it doesn’t leave any oily residue in them afterwards. They are left dry and to the side.
