Nice save. I like that you showed the previous damage because I think amny people start off like that and abandon further attempts. Im watching your much more recent stuff and your skills have grown enormously so that is very inspiring. I just mended my wii nunchuk yesterday after watching lots of your fixes. It had broken wires right inside the connector and because of your inspiration, I pulled it all to pieces and soldered in new wires and put it back together and it worked. Never would have attempted that without first having seen your and vinces evolutions in fixing.

When you are in a pinch for “solder mask” raid your wife’s makeup case and get some acrylic nail Polish. That stuff sets hard as a rock.
I would’ve just made the tines out of tape and run wire wrap wires to from the IC to the tines a bit less fiddly. So I’m impressed with your cutting skills.

Haha, Marmite Vince!!!! Well done Steve, nicely cut tracks. Good job, working really nice and a very well edited fun video. It may be easier to solder next time if you squeeze the copper tape under the chip legs, but who cares..it works!! You don't happen to know the music at the 4 min mark do you. If it is from RUclips music library I would love to use that in one of my vids if you don't mind :-)

😀 Bad joke, I know, sorry! Thanks again for your help, i did think about the tracks whilst editing it and was kicking myself for not putting them under the legs! But as you say, who cares if it still works! The track around 4 minutes is not actually from YT Studio, it's called "The Way Things Used To Work" by David Fesliyan. I use quite a bit of his music, but I did have to make a small donation to remove any Copyright claims. 👍

Hello, what is the brand of flux that you are using? It’s kind of like a gel, seems way more practical than the crystallized block I’m using, which I have to melt first and then quickly apply before it becomes hard again. Please let me know. Be safe and thank you kindly
