Would you use a pellet feeder if you didn’t have an island just open water ?

"Not many venues I fish don't involve an island chuck. But I am happy to fish the Pellet feeder in open water aslong as it is not too deep. 6ft is about the limit on depth for it."

Thanks , I tried it today at Float fish farm on Wagtail which doesn’t have an island and was about 7’ deep and had 3 fish on it with 8mm hard pellet

I'll be honest. I've been absolutely pants on the pellet feeder and given it up! That tip of sticking them in the freezer may will probably change my mind and have another go.
Do you ever bother to add any colour or flavours whilst prepping them and prior to go in the freezer or just leave the pellets as they are?
