I avoid the public, especially if I’m not ready. There’s many reasons why I’ve been able to do this for so long without problems. If you ran into me, there’s a good chance you wouldn’t know I was homeless.
I was thinking of Planet Fitness too. $10 or $20 a month would solve the bathroom/shower problem for most of the day. And you can workout. I’ve been thinking of buying a van to travel around the country and I would definitely get a Planet Fitness membership.

i just removed the back seat and tossed it in the trash. I hack-sawed out the cross members and put a sheet of particle board across the "Floor'. I also tossed out the passenger seat. I slept with my head near the passenger side dashboard and my feet near the driver's side taillight I bought an old couch from the Salvation Army thrift store, tossed the couch into their dumpster, sewed together the cushions in a way that let me fold them up and stack them in a corner. They worked great as a sleeping pad.
@@annmarie2964 Of course, yes, but in Rob's case because of the loss of value if he did that, it'd be like buying a bed for a $1000 or more. Just sayin'.
I hope Robs okay, the world is ever increasing getting crazy and just found his channel. In the event of possible future homelessness, please come back and give us an update.
Make sure that you change your oil rob its the best thing you can do to keep your vehicle in good condition. Make sure the car has been driven for a while, THEN change the oil while it is still hot that will clear out the bad oil/debris and not pollute the new oil.
Rob, how are you ,friend? Can we have an update please so we know you’re ok? Your viewers worry about you. I’m sure you’ve made changes that we would be amazed by. How will you manage in winter? Is there something you can put on the roof to insulate you from the cold? Have you found a place to use your camping gear ? How about a solar shower? If you can heat the bag of water ,you dont have to shower, just pour it into a bowl to have a good wash. Looking forward to seeing your nature shots. 🌈🦋🌻❤️
Thank you for telling us about your new sleeping arrangements which will help others needing to do the same thing. I really liked seeding the areas you've chosen as safe places to stay because they are also helpful to others when they need to work out what to do and where to go. As always the beautiful videography showing us the outdoors is much appreciated. It is like a fresh breeze swept the cobwebs out of my mind and made me feel refreshed. 😀

Cleaning: Microfiber with baking soda water. Feels as clean as a bath. Microfibers pull all the dirt an sweat off. Air dry the microfiber cloth in a limb bevause it will stink. The sun will destroy any odors. Peeing: larger apple juice container. Holds more pee then empty on grass or forest floor. Apple juice containers also more durable. I used a half gallon milk jug once but after a while it cracked and started leeking pee everywhere. Staying cool: wet your clothes. Natural AC . Stay in Forest and by water which is naturally cooler.
Bro keep thinking about winning 🥇 never stop dreaming of winning. It feels so much better to win than to give up. I have not achieved this success by any means, and can very well live in my car again if I don’t straighten up soon. I have made some good positive changes like quitting alcohol, smoking and other bad habits. Never stop dreaming.
Was wondering why you weren't using the trunk for extra space to sleep. Glad you're able to stretch out now and get a good night's sleep. Thanks for keeping in real.
I went and watched a bunch of your nature videos the other day. I like those videos too. I am considering living in my car, and at the very least I have a long camping trip planned starting next week. This kind of video is the main thing I am watching these days. I love the changes you have made.
Rob.. at Watmart, they sell 6x3 foot black felt. cut to size for windows. Looks like limo tint from the outside.. Keep making videos. Enjoy your videos 👍
I am intrigued by this lifestyle. Being a minimalist is very soothing to me and watching other minimalist makes me feel I am not alone in not wanting a bunch of junk

Rob the bed set up sure beats what you had before. My Mother was a full time RV'r years ago. She was so happy to have discovered from other full time RVr's that there are millions of Planet Fitness clubs all over the world. If I remember right she only paid about $10-$20 a month and she only did for the free showers she got to take and never did work out there. Just tip that may be helpful.
Watching you as someone with nothing myself here in Utica NY, I'm honestly inspired. To watch you just pick up and leave to a better place takes so much balls and courage, even if you were sleeping in the woods, it's what you were familiar with . To see you now sleeping in a brand new car, in a way cooler part of the country is just awesome.. it's not even what you've acquired that's inspiring, just the fact that you really had the courage to pack out and walk blindly to greener pastures. You're the man, wish the best for you!
Thank you! I realized recently that I was on a path to find Jesus. God is calling us! I posted about it in the community section. I was just looking back through everything last night and still can’t believe it. I couldn’t have done it without God.
Single stall bathrooms are very helpful. Places like Dunkin, Starbucks, kfc, Taco Bell all have single stall bathrooms where you can bring in a towel, some soap, paper towels, etc and just clean off. Just make sure you clean up after yourself before you leave the bathroom
I know where I could do it, I just can’t do that unless I absolutely have to. The public doesn’t know I’m homeless. I’ve always done my best to keep that up.
I’m on the verge of losing my home bcos Florida is so expensive. I can’t afford home owners insurance and we’re in hurricane season. I’m considering moving into my jeep but I have a dog and I definitely can’t leave him in my vehicle while I work. Life is so damn hard these days. Peace everybody!!
Good way to describe it. I worked one full time and one part job for years, did the whole gypsy traveler thing too in my 40's when I was off work. It's not easy for all the reasons you discussed. I did have a lot of fun though seeing new places. But at the same time I'll be 60 soon. I've been renting the same place for a decade now, decent place to live. I don't think I could do that again though. What I noticed is if you do what you are doing long enough, there is a mental adjustment that takes time to say going back to live in an apartment or a home. The brain takes time to re-adapt and it can be a challenge for some people. I've seen cases where they've taken homeless off the streets that have been homeless for many many years then they put them in a "box", a room to live with walls around them and they freak out some of them can't handle it. I think anyone can adapt but some people take longer than others.
I slept on the floor of my living room, on a pad for probably a year after being a gypsy for so long, not that I could not get a bed, but it was what I was used to, it's what I knew, so I simply didnt bother to get a bed. My brother brought over a bed as a gift after a time when he came to visit me and saw I was sleeping on the floor lol. My back is thankful, floors are not very forgiving.
Spraybottle with water and a herb from the woods for scent, mint, lavender etc...just spritz off and use a washcloth. A small bowl for a bird bath, even just water and a washcloth everynight before sleep. Also if in urban areas, park at the very last second in residential areas with street parking. Don't go there and sit and fuss around for an hour then sleep, just go to sleep, and leave when you wake.
There is nothing wrong in wanting for an atypical life. Misery is a choice. So to is happiness. Though we each walk our paths alone- I do sometimes wonder if the nights would be as cold if not for occasional companionship. Flowing from place to place does not preclude connection. It just makes it a little harder and therefore precious when it does happen
I think you belong into the woods and nature in general. Hopefully you continue to do your videos, because here are a lot of people liking and following your survival content. I know, you don’t like the term, but it is what it is. Overtime you will get enough income to live in the woods as often as you want.
One thing I love the most are my pillows. I need a lot of them. I can hug them and wrap my self in them. If only they hugged back. It’s all good. I’m good with them pillows. Glad to see you look a little cheered in this video and I like the content. I left Virginia after being in the city woods alone after two months. I’m now in North Carolina in a shelter. Things are moving along for me. It takes time. I do document my homelessness on my RUclips channel as well. In the last six months I’ve been homeless twice so, a total of four months in woods in a city behind a Walmart all alone, and I love it!!! Not when it was hot, tho. I’ll be watching for a new video soon as I need to put one up myself. 😊
Glad u did that! If you remove that folding seat entirely and put a twin 4-6 inch foam mattress topper, you will be sleeping like a baby With an extra 5inches to move around since the seat is gone
If you want to get back into the woods and you like nature/exploring have you ever considered heading north west? I've seen some other channels that explore up in BC and it's gorgeous. Logistics could be an issue but man is there a ton of land up there. Also it's not nearly as hot.
Being homeless means constantly learning and adapting to survive. I used to use 'unscented' wipes, and I bought a thicker version as well. TBH though, they don't work that well. I used to use them everyday for my smelly bits, but a shower of some sort is still necessary at least every second day. Hopefully you have a gym nearby you can sign up to. Try and get a rechargable portable air con for your car. And get a bigger folding solar panel.
I remember you saying you don't like doing these car videos but i like to see the progression of your setup. I foresee myself having to do this in the fiture.
Hi Rob, wishing you peace and wellness. On getting tired of screening my window's I decided to find a local glass tint expert, who installed darkest limo tint all round for £150, now I have privacy but can still look out for its virtually impossable to stare in. Great result. Harry
Hi Rob, so glad to see you've set up for a comfy sleep. Sleep is so important for well-being. That sunrise shot was awesome. You know, a 5 gallon bucket and sturdy plastic bags make a great emergency toilet. Amazon even sells "doodie bags" with a treatment powder. Then you toss it in a dumpster. Just a thought. Solar showers work amazingly well, too. Be well, stay safe.
you touched on LOTS i remember my on & off years out there. brings back memories. many with vans post how wonderful & great.. its all what you said i know. be safe 💒🙏
Hey Rob, just seen your latest video. Hadn't checked you out in a few, but man good to see you. Like the car, love what you've done with the place. Good luck & stay safe.
Your the type of dude that if you had a van built to cater for living you'd be set.... the only thing better for a guy like you would be a place legal in the woods your allowed to stay and not be bothered or having to be sneaky.... I truly hope you find that
glad you figured out a better arrangement, you must be the only car camper i've seen who bought a saloon and not an estate! i bought an estate so i can just put the back seats down and i've basically got a van, i fit in easily and i'm about 6ft tall too
Awesome dude! I love making due with what I got. Simple is always best! Glad to see you've upgraded to vehicle. The whole world is open when you have a vehicle. So cool!😁
Have you heard of the RUclips Channel Camping with Steve? His channel is full of a variety of camping. He demonstrates the unusual areas to camp and does it undetected. He has done several car camping ones. It would be great to see you guys do a collaboration in some way. He’s experienced a lot of loss in the past few years and could use a camping buddy. I think it would definitely bring even more people to your channel.
Walmart has these $12 small rechargeable fans that lasts up to eight hours if they are on the low setting. Grab a couple of those. it’s a game changer. Also, a cooling towel will help or you could just wet your shirt before you go to sleep.
Hi I don't know why you don't post long videos. You have a great channel & I was about to subscribe till I saw how short the uploads were. Anyhoo Goodluck from South Africa 🌍🇿🇦💌🙏👍
i used the city pool showers it has no heater just cold as frig in winter time also the locks on the bathrooms are easily picked with a knife by wedging the blade against the lock and twisting
For showers maybe see if you have a planet fitness nearby. The $15 a month membership allows you to use one location. The $25 a month membership allows you to go to any location. There is an annual fee too though. Instead of baby wipes they make shower replacement wipes for adults. They usually are by the incontinence supplies.
I’m not going to do gyms. I got a solar shower and am working some things out. I don’t have a problem staying clean. It’s just annoying to me. I have tried the other wipes. They’d be great if they didn’t just fall apart.
I just keep posting! Thanks for being here!

Glad you figured out how to be able to stretch out RTN.
I always appreciate your honesty. Thanks.
You needed a mini van, stay safe
Really happy you are getting some good sleep now. You figured it out.., proud of you....!! 🎉🎉 Have a peaceful week...
I think you belong into the woods and nature in general. Hopefully you continue to do your videos, because here are a lot of people liking and following your survival content. I know, you don’t like the term, but it is what it is. Overtime you will get enough income to live in the woods as often as you want.
Follow your heart, trial and error, no shame man...shoot for the stars, know that you are loved and appreciated. = )
Sleep is important. Glad you're getting more of it
One thing I love the most are my pillows.
I really like how you are doing what you gotta do! I know it's not easy! Keep going, you got this!
I love your videos and channel ❤ always learn something valuable
Glad u did that! If you remove that folding seat entirely and put a twin 4-6 inch foam mattress topper, you will be sleeping like a baby With an extra 5inches to move around since the seat is gone
Hey Rob , sup ?? Were glad ya could be here ..
Great to see a new video and you doing good.
looking forward to your camping videos in the woods, thx for uploading Rob
If you want to get back into the woods and you like nature/exploring have you ever considered heading north west? I've seen some other channels that explore up in BC and it's gorgeous. Logistics could be an issue but man is there a ton of land up there. Also it's not nearly as hot.
Yeah, there’s several reasons I haven’t gone there, including grizzlies. It does look amazing!
Love your videos Rob Thank you for sharing ❤
Nicely done stay innovative❤
That last shot was beautiful!
Hi Rob, wishing you peace and wellness. On getting tired of screening my window's I decided to find a local glass tint expert, who installed darkest limo tint all round for £150, now I have privacy but can still look out for its virtually impossable to stare in. Great result. Harry
Thanks Rob. Glad you’re getting better sleep.
Hey bud. We want you to check in.
I posted on the community tab.
Where do i find that?@@RobTheNomad
@@49ProRatStreet When you go to my page it says Home, Videos, Shorts, Playlists, Community.
drive to a beach city there are usually free showers available for people who come back from swimming
Get one of those artic air fans that u load up with cold water.
They have the ones that you charge. I have one they work
Vanished I tell you Rob has left the building! 😆
I haven’t been in a building for a long time.
Glad your making it work. Good to see you in good spirits.
I did get a solar shower! Thinking about a toilet.
@@RobTheNomad Great! Be careful, they can get pretty hot if you heat them on the roof of your car.
Great work rob keep it up and in no time you will havbe sponsorship deals that could change ur life!
😂Thank you for the call out ! pure joy 😂All the best to you Rob !
I smashed the like & share buttons. Rob the Millionaire Nomad, planting carrots on his piece of land. I called it first back in 2023 ;)
No problem. Thanks again!
So glad you moved your bed. So important to be able to stretch out!😊❤

Hey Rob, just seen your latest video. Hadn't checked you out in a few, but man good to see you. Like the car, love what you've done with the place. Good luck & stay safe.
Sounds like a big improvement!
Hail up , solid upgrades feet can stretch out , tek it lite deh brethren & god bless 🙌
I really enjoyed that man and you seem very happy that's good to see
Your the type of dude that if you had a van built to cater for living you'd be set.... the only thing better for a guy like you would be a place legal in the woods your allowed to stay and not be bothered or having to be sneaky.... I truly hope you find that
I tould you !!!! this is how I set my ford focus up . I travel from Pa to Michigain to Florida sleeping in my car "RV" mode .
glad you figured out a better arrangement, you must be the only car camper i've seen who bought a saloon and not an estate! i bought an estate so i can just put the back seats down and i've basically got a van, i fit in easily and i'm about 6ft tall too
Glad you worked out a comfortable sleeping area. Looks like you are figuring it 🙏🏻❤🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing man!!
Yeah I’ve known about him for years now!
Walmart has these $12 small rechargeable fans that lasts up to eight hours if they are on the low setting. Grab a couple of those. it’s a game changer. Also, a cooling towel will help or you could just wet your shirt before you go to sleep.
I have two of them, in this video!
Hi I don't know why you don't post long videos. You have a great channel & I was about to subscribe till I saw how short the uploads were. Anyhoo Goodluck from South Africa 🌍🇿🇦💌🙏👍
Thank you for your video! Your car looks so comfortable. Love the pretty forest!
i used the city pool showers it has no heater just cold as frig in winter time also the locks on the bathrooms are easily picked with a knife by wedging the blade against the lock and twisting
It`s a big improvement being able to stretch out on a bed.
