Thats fine,A'tin almost memorized the mv n song😁🤭expect more metaphor/ wordplay on their songs bcoz its the writing style of the composer non other than Pablo whether tagalog/english lyrics😊 so always keep the caption on..our tagalog language had mix of spanish too..thanks for this rv😉✌️
If you gonna dig in more on their songs, GENTO is a slang word ,an expression when you're trying to show something, "like this"..A double word play, GINTO means gold but basically they are trying to prove that in order to get a gold you have to dig deeper and their music is all original, self-made, self-managed and even self-produced..For me, SB19. Is a treasured talent that hard to find, 5men Boyband, they all can rap, sing and dance well..3-4 yrs training under a Korean Entertainment Company.
SB19 is amazing. They can do anything from pop to ballad to RnB and more❤️

They are a self-managed and self-produced group. PABLO, who did the 1st part, is the leader and the composer. He write all of their songs.
For the last part with the aliens, they were initially formed and trained by a Korean company. SB19 working hard to get gold in an ant hill symbolizes that as long as they're under that K company (the aliens), they are never fully in control of their songs or career or earnings. The members are now self managed and own their own entertainment company. They are now in charge of their careers, their songs and their future/destiny. Thank you for reacting to Gento!
Hello! here are some few notes since the song have a lot of Filipino references:
1. Pablo cooking scene
- The ingredients in the pot he's cooking are for the Filipino dish called "nilaga", this is reference to PH proverb, "Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga" which means "hard work has its rewards"
2. Stell shower scene
- In PH since the weather is very hot here our body produces this "sour" smell in the armpit (that's why we always use deo) so people who don't take care of their hygiene here are called "maasim" literally "sour" so then he said in the lyrics that no matter how sweaty and sour he smell after all the hardwork he did all day the haters are more "sour" than him/them.
3. Josh rap part
- He said that he will not swallow a stone because he's not Darna, Darna is a PH Icon Comics hero, she swallows a "stone" before she transform on her Darna form, so what he's saying is he's no superhero
- He said that he's his own mechanic and don't need "Moniko", this is reference to a PH tongue twister: "Minikaniko ni Moniko, ang makina ni Monika" which translate to "Moniko fixed Monika's engine" so he's saying that he doesn't need anyone's help to build himself
4. Justin switch with the dog
- This is reference to Filipino term "dogshow" used when you are clowning/making fun of something/someone. It can either be you're making fun of another person or you're making fun of yourself. It's "dogshow" because on literal dog shows, the dogs are being displayed to the public to make "tricks" who else does "tricks"?---- Clowns.
5. SB19 no eyebrows scene
- If you raised your eyebrows on someone, you're judging them, right? Or being mean to them. On the MV the lyrics says to burn their brows. In PH there is this saying when you are studying hard, "nagsusunog ng kilay" which means burning their brows because their faces are buried on the book. So they're probably saying that instead of raising your eye brows on someone (judge them) why don't u just burn your brows (study) because the haters are basically dumb.Also, GENTO IS A FILIPINO SLANG WORD FROM GANITO WHICH MEANS LIKE THIS. GINTO means GOLD
EXTRA: Not a Filipino reference but at the end, the alien scene, they were actually mocked by people (Majority,Filipinos,on this Alab MV.) (watch ALAB mv and focus on the last part) This is because during that time they are fully managed by their Korean management SBT which made them do things they don't want to do as the group. But now they are already self managed called 1Z ENTERTAINMENT.
In Alab MV, for example, they are promoted as "PPOP" but the MV literally starts and ended with someone speaking in Korean so PH netizens bashed SB19 about being a KPOP wanna be, no originality, and having no Filipino roots in their music.

You should get to know these multi-faceted, multi-talented young men from the Philippines. They compose their own songs, they choreograph, they create and direct their MVs. 4 of 5 have their own solo projects as well and in different genre. Imho, the ending means no matter how hard they work to "dig", there are still larger beings out there. They have struck gold in the PH music industry but they are just a small name now in the global scene. Bigger artists, producers and music people are out there observing them.

Gento is short for tagalog word ganito meaning like this, Ginto is gold, there are a lot of hidden meanings in this song especially from filipino culture, like what pablo is cooking, its called nilaga, there's a saying pag wlang tyaga wlang nilaga, means if you can't stick to something you can't achieve anything, and there's a lot more💙💙💙

the dog part in mv could refers in dogshow, in Philippine English, dogshow refers to satirically mocking a celebrity or any other famous person through memes or jokes.
I highly recommended the series "SB19 STORY" by the channel Casual chuck. He has 7 episodes. It goes in detail about each one of them. He also has videos entitled "what nobody understands about......" he has one for each member that tells their life story and what their life was like before SB19. Its the only most recent one because other guides are heavily outdated.

Thank you for your RV. The leader of the group, Pablo( the cook in the video) employs a lot of rich wordplay in their songs. He composes most of their songs that always have deeper meanings that challenges its audience to dig deeper and at the same time share aspects of Philippine culture in their performances.
The shortest way to remember their names, is to watch their Wishbus performance, where they sit in the same place, so it is easier to say who is who left to right. At the same time you get familiar to each of their distinct vocal quality.
But if you truly want a more in-depth background, view the series made by one of their fans, Cashual Chuck. Or view the interview at ToniTalks.
For this MV, citing the roles they portrayed, Pablo is the cook;
Josh is Gucci/crane guy; Stell is shower guy; Justin is the guy with a dog;
Ken is the deep voiced with the snake. KEN is the name he uses when performing with SB19; but when he does his solo projects he uses the name Felip.
In the last frame of the MV, to me it means they are now emerging beyond their own musical realm and being known by foreigners (aliens) as viewed in whatever platform or screen available. The dialogue used in that part also has a soft reference to one of their earliest songs 'Alab' which then assigned colors to each one..but now they are all collectively seen as 'Gold'.
