Anxiety/Depression and drug addiction is a lonely road. He had alot of anxiety which he used alcohol for. Neither Tim nor his managers are to blame. Sometimes in life people turn to solutions that a radical. We don't need someone to put the blame on. We need solutions for people like avicii, those who struggle. Avicii was talanted and besides his mental problems he somehow performed on an level most never reach. Rest in peace. I feel your pain.

@theviewer6321 he was the guy's manager. I know you're actually as uninformed as your making me out to be, but as his manager, he had a fiduciary duty to serve Tim's best interests, and he did not. It's not parasocial to wish that your favorite artist was still alive, and I'm not speculating. This is what the closest people to Tim all said too. It's literally why Ash agreed to do this video.

After years of going through the motions of Tim's passing, I don't wanna necessarily villainize Ash, however it's important to acknowledge his irresponsibility as a manager when it comes to treating a young artist, Tim was 18 when he got signed and really only ever wanted to create the music he wanted to make, and ultimately the goal of every manager is to respect their artist and give them the space to grow in their artistry, however when it comes to an artist as young as Tim was at the time he got started, it's quintessential for a manager to be able to guide an inexperienced artist through the right path to be able to take correct decisions for their mental health to not get to a point of burnout and eventually the overwhelming emotions of rising to fame
And that's precisely where Ash went wrong, as early as 2012, he simply wasn't able to guide Tim properly and his inexperience evolved into his mental health struggles, not to say Tim didn't play a part in overworking himself, however we shouldn't be blaming the victim for his inexperience and simply not understanding the path he was going down because his manager never took care of him that way, however that's not to say there wasn't a connection at all between them, I imagine his breakup with him in December 2016 must've had a profound emotional effect on him too, however by that point it was already too late, even if Ash had somehow reached out to Tim in his final moments, he was already too far gone, and he himself probably held some feelings of resentment himself as shown on True Stories and lyrics on TIM like Excuse Me Mr Sir.
So while yes, I don't think it helps to villainize either side, it's fair to say Ash should've known much better while he had the chance because it was his irresponsibility that ultimately lead to one of the greatest artists of our generation to spiral into darkness.

Not sure what to think about this. He seems like a well spoken, smart and likable guy but it doesn't tell us anything. He was like a father and brother to him yet he has NO clue why he committed suicide? They had a conflict that led to them part ways and no single word about why? They met up and Tim suddenly left? Apparently there also seems to be no relevant person who likes Ash enough to speak up for him, including Tim's father and other people who would be immune to criticism. Weird.
That being said I don't think blaming a single person is the right thing to do and Ash for sure didn't want this to happen and I bet it hit him hard af. If there's someone to blame it's our money and status driven society that makes sensitive and "weak" people feel like they don't belong on this world.

It’s shocking to hear Avicii’s manager dodge responsibility in the interview. Avicii clearly voiced his exhaustion and desire to quit, yet he was pushed to continue. The manager’s refusal to own up to his role in this tragedy is both irresponsible and disgraceful. This lack of accountability is a glaring example of how the industry prioritizes profits over artist well-being.

I don’t really care what anyone says. This video is just Ash talking, Tim never wrote his book, body language in true stories and Tim arguing on the phone to no more shows.
Tim was a young man and yes his manager took advantage of it all, his Dad Klas said it his manager has things to answer for.
Yes he had addiction to perfection of his music in the studio, not a addiction to DJing and flying all around the world 247 the amount of shows he done was unreal.
Addicted to making music that was it.
At the end of true stories it says Tim and Ash has since parted ways.
It’s in history and the music industry’s is just full of bastards money hungry sharks.
You will never know what happened to Tim if it was suicide or murder, there’s no doubt Tim and Ash were mates as the years went on but at the end he wanted out it’s as simple as that. He’s at peace now in let’s respect that but don’t forget he said many times. I am going to die you can see he was unwell in hospital and Ash is trying to get him going.
So take it or don’t I know exactly what Ash was and is “Tim does not know the value of money” exactly money, not health or mental health MONEY!!!

Obviously I didn’t know him, but just watching him and having some sympathy and understanding for how people work, it’s clear, literally couldn’t be clearer, that he suffered from severeee anxiety. I know just how it feels even though it’s not because of the same reasons. And waking up with that feeling everyday, never leaving you, can make you genuinely hate life and just want out.
