After watching reviews, making sure of my purchase and saving the money, I ordered a H501S with advanced Transmitter back in 2017. What I got was this Frankenstein S-SH which flew twice, fell from the sky the third time and it's been in the box every since. Attempts to contact Hubsan always carried a warning that I would have to pay for the repairs. First and last thing I ever bought from Hubsan. Pity, the designer of the quad bodies is good. Decision to change product without telling customers and just sneaking it in was cheap and dirty.
Yup, horrible service, poor business model, shitty customer service ethics and their Warehouse/Shipping crew must smoke a lot of weed, only twice ordered from these stoners, ...& twice the order was WRONG, ...So why twice??, I always like to give second chances....but never a 3rd, I too am done with this Company...and like you, I like the body's design as well, what a shame...sorry for your loss Hubsan, ya started out awesome, then like all the corporate whores, GREED got to the best of it.... sad
Just want to add my 2 cents worth. Straight out of the box my h501ss was a stunning machine! once the battery was conditioned (7-8 charges) I was able to complete a flight of 1335m out & return no problem, except for the image recording from the camera. Just prior to the end of the return flight the video skipped and jumped and my editing program is telling me the video is corrupt so will not load it. Changed card (Sandisk Extreme Pro) + format and I still get problems with video, some times but not every time. Annie you helped me fix the firmware & I truly thank you for that, but I think my video problem is more than just a card issue. I love this drone even more than my h109s but the image skipping must stop
Dear Hubsan Lady, I 'm not english native and would appreciate very much to have the transcript of all this speech. I also really appreciate your performance on stage, but a few drawings and a textual explanation could really help people to understand you. You could simply describe the name of all you different versions in a simple array on a spreadsheet because saying all that by speech can become a real challenge for some of your clients. Clearly Hubsan has produced two different versions (H501S and H501 S-S) under the same packaging H501S. And the confusion between those two versions is a mess for clients as for Hubsan in case updates of firmware are done but with a mixup between firmwares of those two versions. I can clearly say now Pray for customers, pray for Hubsan reputation, pray for Hubsan
First time up. I used the return to home function, the drove did a flip and took off on a full battery charge. Tracked it using the GPS coordinates only to have the batteries die in the remote before I found the Drone. Contacted Hubsan and told them what happened and they said "sorry we don't cover that". I paid just over $500 for the drone, extra battery and props only to watch it take off on it's maiden flight. If there are so many glitches with their systems, why don't they correct them before releasing the drones for sale? I even asked if they could sell me just a drone as obviously I have everything else and no one has bothered to get back to me. I am less than impressed with Hubsan.

Ordered a s got a ss. Now I have the camera figured out. I've had a Autel xstar, have a spark and a cheap sharper image and I fly this one before the other. Love this drone.

Take battery out, keep drone in the vertical position, look into battery cavity....the near end of the lower circuit board on 501SS has written: 'H501A-CAM VO3'. Voila.

i have just recieved one that says X4 air h501s proffesional edition packed in cardboard ?? it has black motors and a lipo battery in the transmitter also the battery in the drone does not appear to be lipo it seems to be two 18650 li ion batteries in a pack with balance cable i,m not complaining i,m just slightly confused ive recieved this from bangood 10 /05 /24
So I just bought two of the H501S pro advance (with the new remote controls) drones offer authorized hubsan dealer from California on eBay and they've got the big fat stickers on the back Of the drone and if you look in the battery compartment it says H501A and these are supposed to be New drones, is this possible that I've got two H501's not H501ss's when the new models have been out for such a long time, my Purchased date was 05-12-19 and the QR code on the back of the H906A receiver has H501S - S - H so I'm totally miffed at this point and looks like I got stuck with 2 older drones with the H501S-S-H receivers??? I really hope someone at Hubsan can help me sort this out...

A question. In the transmitter screen the image occupies the entire screen when the image should be 16/9 with black bands at the top and bottom. How to change? I have the Hubsan 501ss and it bothers me a lot to see the image distorted when it occupies the whole screen.No matter what you do, there is always the image occupying the entire screen.
I received my hubsan a week and a half ago have had zero issues, im wondering if some user issues arent owner related and not fault of hubsan , this is the second hubsan i have purchased and wont be the last! Thank you for the video annie

Of course, more it's main stream, more there are clients with not the behavior the maker is waiting for. Nevertheless, the idea of an average client here is to try to update software to get rid of bugs as they do with their phones to fix things. And when Hubsan create a mess like they have done here, by giving the same packaging to, after all, 2 different products needing 2 different kind of firmware updates , this will create a real big mess. I like Hubsan, but here they are clearly faulty.

I ordered , as advertised on the retailers site, an H501ss Pro. I watched the video to see if there was a difference in the drone itself, but am still confused. Are the two compatible? Can you help me please. I bought a hubsan 501 from someone on ebay who advertised it was a "factory rebuild". They also claimed it was a 501s-s with the "latest firmware updates". When I got it, the manual, the (all cardboard) box and the sticker on the drone said "501S". BUT when it look in the belly like in the video above it seems to have the silver or gray box that goes up past the middle like she showed. Also inside the board says on it: "H501A-cam V05". SO do I have a 501S or a 501S-S? When I tried the "Circle fly", first the drone rotated once around and then seemed to take off in one direction at full speed! Like it was headed back to China to circle the building where it was built! Seriously I did it twice. It rotated (yaw'ed) one rotation and then took off for parts unknown. So, WHAT MODEL DO I HAVE, and what is going on with it's circle fly mode? I'll have you know that I almost wrecked it into a steel pole and (tall) chain link fence, on it's maiden voyage. PLEASE HELP ME. I DO love the drone! I bought one because my best friend has one and I love what they can do. Mine has the standard controller also. You skipped how to use the standard controller to enter the menu mode so I can find my firmware version numbers.

Please check the QR code on the back of your transmitter, does it say H501S or H501S-S? If it is a H501S-S then you would have to download the H501S-S firmware files from our official website and use the H501A upgrade tool for your unit.

I have been flying around with no problems but now I can't get to a good height and my drone respond to the controller it just stops no forward no at work no nothing I may see a flash of the purple light and I just locked it I hit return home sometime it works sometime it doesn't but I need help on the issue I don't want to lose it and it's the h501s Standard addition
Just an idea but try to check drone antennas. Maybe change for better antennas. Try to verify range at low altitude (4 meters max), on a field where you could walk toward the drone to get radio contact back when you lose it and after that take measurements of the range and try to never get too close to that range anymore. Use google maps BEFORE a fly to help you to see how far you can go. If antennas are vertically, the range does not change when you rotate the drone, if antennas are too much horizontally the range change when you rotate the drone which is not good. Law in many countries in line of sight anyway and few meters below planes (500 feet)

Okay I just figured out that I have a regular h501s. Do I get better range with a h501ss and my version is v2.1.50. v1.1.46 is there a better upgrade for my version
Yes, get the BNF (bind and fly) version, which comes without a transmitter; it is about 40 bucks less than the normal price. Keep in mind if you immediately remove the battery, and fully dry it out, it may recover.

The drone was not made for payloads- and this would count as a modification (voids your warranty) so we don't recommend this. If you were to attach a gimbal, you would not be able to control the gimbal with your transmitter, as the firmware was never written to support a gimbal.

Umm, I am supposed to have a h501ss advance, and everything seems like you said except one thing, my receiver says H501s 2.1.50. All videos and this one included I've seen is showing h501ss on the receiver. Did they change things again? I've attached a picture on imagebin.. imagebin.ca/v/4eMJWtolnZdn ps. I've noticed thus far reading down that hubsan didn't respond to anyone having this issue, makes me worrisome.

I hope you do understand with Annies answer, that Hubsan actually admits that there upgrades are not to be trusted. Upgrades should improve performants, but Hubsans upgrades can destroy your Quad what great quality. Hubsan please quit the Drone business you people are dangerous
I'm actually much more interested in the battery guzzling Tx. That is to say, as far as I know, in addition to the different firmware iterations there are also at least two separate versions of the transmitters (Both standard and Advanced), one which has a ready made connector set up that accepts lipo batteries and the other which only support standard crappy batteries (AA or AAA I assume) which it is reported to go through like a chain smoker with three pallets of fags. So how do I tell which one I'm about to buy since I can't exactly open the case in advance? I mean, I want to know if I also need to factor in modding supplies in my shoestring budget... =p
Some of the new Standard controllers are shipping with a JST (LiPo connector) and a 7.4v 1400mAH battery. If you are sold old stock, yours may not come with this new bonus.
so I just learned from watching another youtuber who reviews drone how to tell the diff on top of this video. so I do have a double S but afyer this vid I really don't see a difference. just hardware but no one has said what hardware does what. I bought the 501-SS specifically as a low-end, stable position hold w altitude hold. I am not racing it, chasing cruise ships or doing long rage GPS waypointing. For me, a bonus is the 'follow-me' feature. I'll probably find a use for it. For the price, after much comparing, I really like the 501-SS as a pretty good, easy to use camera platform. Why dont give other version names? V. S123456 and V. SS123456 or V.123456S V.123456SS or V.S123456 and V.123456SS... and why dont put an sticker on the belly a big S or SS? The dron are super,i fly with it over 1 year! THX!!!
So I get that the H501S-S has the mainboard from the H501A but the camera module is different too. the H501S-S lens protrudes from the shell whereas the lens on the H501S is flush. You said that you'll explain the difference between the modules but you didn't. I understand that this must have been a really confusing video to script and present but what are the differences in the camera?? Why does the H501S-S version feel like it wasn't built to fit in the body properly?
Once again poor Annie is sent out to clean up Hubsan's mess and try to explain the unexplainable, and make that which is not reasonable seem reasonable. After returning my transmitter and receiving a replacement nearly a month later I finally ended up with a 501S that I'm very happy with. But unfortunately I do not think that satisfied customers are the majority. Those of us that are speaking out about Hubsan's lack of quality control and endless firmware issues aren't haters we are people that have lived through the nightmare and believe in "Let the buyer beware". It is apparent that Hubsan is not willing to correct their quality control issues on their own. Or, actually make firmware updates that work for all of those that own the same model. So we the so called "haters" must hold their feet to the fire, and call them out when they need to be called out. For those thinking of buying a 501S or 501SS you need to understand that it is "HIT OR MISS" Maybe you will get a good one, maybe you won't. If you are feeling lucky go for it.
Apparently... The H906A controller with the upgraded screen (V1.3 1.19) does not show the "SS" in Show Version, it just shows "H501S". Everything else on the H501S indicates the SS version, including the new large sticker. The new H906A firmware maker probably just decided not to use two S's. I love the built-in real 5.8G FPV. Wish I'd gone with this before buying other drones.
"If your drone flys well dont update it at all"!!! My x4 is now a paper weight thx to this firmware nightmare. All it does is beep continually and says "error loading firmware". Ive gotten no help from Hubsan like she said "its a bit of hassle" there is no fix i take it! Thx Hubsan your real special.
I need help, please help me. I have an H501S plane. It does not show me the speed range, flight and charging of the plane. Only the GPS and the control directions left and right and the number of GPS satellites are shown to me. The camera is open but I cannot fly despite the lights being green and ready to fly. When I lower the control stick down (altitude and directions) it appears. I have something written like (RTH switch is ON) and I cannot fly. Help please 😭😭
I thought the H501a was the upgrade to the H501s. Now it sounds like the H501ss has the same guts.I can see why this is confusing to some. If its not broke don't fix it, that includes updating your firmware.
I've just bought one with the 906a controller. The stickers on the quad and the controller show that its a H501S-S, It also looks like it has the SS video module, but when I switch it on the firmware tells me its a H501S. What is going on here? What have I got? An S or an SS?

Desperately need firmware for my H906A (Deluxe FPV-1) Transmitter, I need v1.31.19.... it's a 3rd party firmware made by company that made these transmitters but had changed the LCD design on it then shipped it out w/ their own firmware on it in order for the LCD to function. Hubsan doesn't have it, typical for this seriously unorganized company. You would think some collaboration between firms on shit like this would be pertinent. If your transmitter is showing v1.31.19 on it.... *DO NOT CHANGE/UPGRADE IT!!*
I removed my earlier comments and want to post this retraction as well as apologize for those earlier comments. I was frustrated, tired, and lost my 502S drone 3 days ago. I have no doubt this influenced my unnecessary comments regarding these products. However, I do still maintain that the confusion level of these two could have been less if a little more thought went into the way it should be identified and promoted. As for the video; I had only watched a minute of it earlier and then stopped because of the bad audio. However, I decided to return to watch the rest and I guess the wind died down or the videographer covered the mic with a filter. Whichever it was, I found that it improved the audio and I was able to understand the demo/announcement much better. R
iv seen some great reviews of this drone. My smaller Hubs fly very well my son and I started on the small toy versions. Thanks for making something affordable.
I have a 501 SS {Which is Black, not White} that shows H906A V1.31.19 for Controller and H501S V2.1.50 & V1.1.46 for Drone, purchased 2020. I'm assuming these are all firmware upgrades as opposed to this 2017 post?

I have 4 of these drones. Now that I can tell the difference, I have two of the s versions. Can I buy the new board, Install the new software and upgrade them to the ss version. The ss version does fly 100 times better. Please let me know if that can be done. if so, what do I need? Maybe send me the link to what I will need to do the job. These are older drones, I would like to try it with one of them if you say it can be done. Thank you very much!
Hello. As stated in the video, the H501S and H501SS have different video modules *and* motherboards. To buy both would also involve buying different motherboard modules- and collectively, the cost would probably equal or surpass that of a new H501SS standard. You could do this but the labor and money, from a client's perspective, is quite potentially not worth it.
I'm very confused. Annie says that if we have a H501ss with a standard transmitter, we can use the firmware to allow the 501ss to fly waypoints using the H7000 trasnmitter. I have tried to do this with my H501ss as it came with a standard trasmitter. Binding with the H7000 is easy, the problem is sending the waypoints to the quad. If you only have a point of interest, the transmitter is able to send successfully to the quad. But when trying to send waypoints to the quad you get the response "mission send faied" Could you please explain a little better what firmware is required on the quad and the trasmitters, both of them, in order to do what annie says is now possible ... the waypoints using the H700 transmitter.
I bought new version of x4 pro i study all commands n instructions ..I watch youtube videos how to Start it..but Ther3 is no gps on transmitter i really disappionted ..i repack the Package i ordered to 2 extra batteries..but its Gps in not working i tried everything they said..
ok I just got the H501S-S , it says S-S on the quad and the back of the standard controller , but when I power both of them up it does not go into compass cal mode , why is that ? I got this in jan 2019 , did they do a diff firmware to where you don't have to do that now ??? please let me know ? it flys ok but I have not used the return to home mode yet , just didn't want it to fly away
Your video does more for no sales. I am new to drones and totally confused about your presentation. Why not just call the drone a different name rather than an extra s making it confusing. Also, your cameraman needs to check mic and sound quality before filming. I would suggest you delete this video and do it all again with a script that does not go into the firmware and replacing boards.
Explanation sounds like the old "Abbot & Costello" routine "Who's On First". What a nightmare. I'd never buy one of these. The video is crap, compared to a MECHANICALLY STABILIZED video. I'd just as soon pay a few bucks more and get a DJI Spark, which DOES have a true 2 axis gimbal on it.

I bought a quad it is a h501s as far as the label but it won’t go into gps mode or record video but it binds and you can see it’s flight on the screen

I really hope someone at Hubsan can help me sort this out...
I have about 4 hours flying time on my H501S advanced and not a single problem. When I hear all the pilots reporting the various problems, its got me worried, Have I've been lucky so far?
A question. In the transmitter screen the image occupies the entire screen when the image should be 16/9 with black bands at the top and bottom. How to change? I have the Hubsan 501ss and it bothers me a lot to see the image distorted when it occupies the whole screen.No matter what you do, there is always the image occupying the entire screen.
I received my hubsan a week and a half ago have had zero issues, im wondering if some user issues arent owner related and not fault of hubsan , this is the second hubsan i have purchased and wont be the last! Thank you for the video annie

Of course, more it's main stream, more there are clients with not the behavior the maker is waiting for. Nevertheless, the idea of an average client here is to try to update software to get rid of bugs as they do with their phones to fix things. And when Hubsan create a mess like they have done here, by giving the same packaging to, after all, 2 different products needing 2 different kind of firmware updates , this will create a real big mess.
I like Hubsan, but here they are clearly faulty.
I guess buying Hubsan could be a big mistake. Customer service and warranty seem to be non existant.

Hi, I have recieved a H501s, standard edition, and a the pro controller, Does this make my 501s into a 501ss, just by having this transmitter/controller? I ordered , as advertised on the retailers site, an H501ss Pro. I watched the video to see if there was a difference in the drone itself, but am still confused. Are the two compatible? Can you help me please. I bought a hubsan 501 from someone on ebay who advertised it was a "factory rebuild". They also claimed it was a 501s-s with the "latest firmware updates". When I got it, the manual, the (all cardboard) box and the sticker on the drone said "501S". BUT when it look in the belly like in the video above it seems to have the silver or gray box that goes up past the middle like she showed. Also inside the board says on it: "H501A-cam V05". SO do I have a 501S or a 501S-S? When I tried the "Circle fly", first the drone rotated once around and then seemed to take off in one direction at full speed! Like it was headed back to China to circle the building where it was built! Seriously I did it twice. It rotated (yaw'ed) one rotation and then took off for parts unknown. So, WHAT MODEL DO I HAVE, and what is going on with it's circle fly mode? I'll have you know that I almost wrecked it into a steel pole and (tall) chain link fence, on it's maiden voyage. PLEASE HELP ME. I DO love the drone! I bought one because my best friend has one and I love what they can do. Mine has the standard controller also. You skipped how to use the standard controller to enter the menu mode so I can find my firmware version numbers.

Please check the QR code on the back of your transmitter, does it say H501S or H501S-S? If it is a H501S-S then you would have to download the H501S-S firmware files from our official website and use the H501A upgrade tool for your unit.

Just an idea but try to check drone antennas. Maybe change for better antennas. Try to verify range at low altitude (4 meters max), on a field where you could walk toward the drone to get radio contact back when you lose it and after that take measurements of the range and try to never get too close to that range anymore. Use google maps BEFORE a fly to help you to see how far you can go.
If antennas are vertically, the range does not change when you rotate the drone, if antennas are too much horizontally the range change when you rotate the drone which is not good.
Law in many countries in line of sight anyway and few meters below planes (500 feet)

Like when doing a RTH function that the quad faces you instead of backing up - those kinds of differences are what I care about as a user!! Yes, get the BNF (bind and fly) version, which comes without a transmitter; it is about 40 bucks less than the normal price. Keep in mind if you immediately remove the battery, and fully dry it out, it may recover.

The drone was not made for payloads- and this would count as a modification (voids your warranty) so we don't recommend this. If you were to attach a gimbal, you would not be able to control the gimbal with your transmitter, as the firmware was never written to support a gimbal.

Both of them are the same function wise. The H501SS is more prevalent on the market nowadays.

Umm, I am supposed to have a h501ss advance, and everything seems like you said except one thing, my receiver says H501s 2.1.50. I hope you do understand with Annies answer, that Hubsan actually admits that there upgrades are not to be trusted. Upgrades should improve performants, but Hubsans upgrades can destroy your Quad what great quality. Hubsan please quit the Drone business you people are dangerous

I'm actually much more interested in the battery guzzling Tx. That is to say, as far as I know, in addition to the different firmware iterations there are also at least two separate versions of the transmitters (Both standard and Advanced), one which has a ready made connector set up that accepts lipo batteries and the other which only support standard crappy batteries (AA or AAA I assume) which it is reported to go through like a chain smoker with three pallets of fags.
So how do I tell which one I'm about to buy since I can't exactly open the case in advance?
I mean, I want to know if I also need to factor in modding supplies in my shoestring budget... =p
Some of the new Standard controllers are shipping with a JST (LiPo connector) and a 7.4v 1400mAH battery. If you are sold old stock, yours may not come with this new bonus.
so I just learned from watching another youtuber who reviews drone how to tell the diff on top of this video. so I do have a double S but afyer this vid I really don't see a difference. just hardware but no one has said what hardware does what. I think they both do the same. and ive tried the circle me. and doesnt work. I'll keep trying. I'm in contact with Shally. I hope she can help mi with multiple issues

It's possible, but will be a bit wonky. The two weren't made for each other.
I bought the 501-SS specifically as a low-end, stable position hold w altitude hold. I am not racing it, chasing cruise ships or doing long rage GPS waypointing. For me, a bonus is the 'follow-me' feature. I'll probably find a use for it. For the price, after much comparing, I really like the 501-SS as a pretty good, easy to use camera platform.

It should have been made to look different or just another Name/version. Different internals......
So I get that the H501S-S has the mainboard from the H501A but the camera module is different too. the H501S-S lens protrudes from the shell whereas the lens on the H501S is flush. You said that you'll explain the difference between the modules but you didn't. I understand that this must have been a really confusing video to script and present but what are the differences in the camera?? Why does the H501S-S version feel like it wasn't built to fit in the body properly?
Once again poor Annie is sent out to clean up Hubsan's mess and try to explain the unexplainable, and make that which is not reasonable seem reasonable.
After returning my transmitter and receiving a replacement nearly a month later I finally ended up with a 501S that I'm very happy with. But unfortunately I do not think that satisfied customers are the majority. Those of us that are speaking out about Hubsan's lack of quality control and endless firmware issues aren't haters we are people that have lived through the nightmare and believe in "Let the buyer beware". It is apparent that Hubsan is not willing to correct their quality control issues on their own. Or, actually make firmware updates that work for all of those that own the same model. So we the so called "haters" must hold their feet to the fire, and call them out when they need to be called out. For those thinking of buying a 501S or 501SS you need to understand that it is "HIT OR MISS" Maybe you will get a good one, maybe you won't. If you are feeling lucky go for it.

Apparently... The H906A controller with the upgraded screen (V1.3 1.19) does not show the "SS" in Show Version, it just shows "H501S". Everything else on the H501S indicates the SS version, including the new large sticker. The new H906A firmware maker probably just decided not to use two S's.
I love the built-in real 5.8G FPV. Wish I'd gone with this before buying other drones.

I need help, please help me. I have an H501S plane. It does not show me the speed range, flight and charging of the plane. Only the GPS and the control directions left and right and the number of GPS satellites are shown to me. The camera is open but I cannot fly despite the lights being green and ready to fly. When I lower the control stick down (altitude and directions) it appears. I have something written like (RTH switch is ON) and I cannot fly. Help please 😭😭
I thought the H501a was the upgrade to the H501s. Now it sounds like the H501ss has the same guts.I can see why this is confusing to some. If its not broke don't fix it, that includes updating your firmware.

I've just bought one with the 906a controller. The stickers on the quad and the controller show that its a H501S-S, It also looks like it has the SS video module, but when I switch it on the firmware tells me its a H501S. What is going on here? What have I got? An S or an SS?

Hi, from where can I get the the requested firmware (RX 1.2.16?, FC:1.5.25?) for doing waypoints on a H501SS in conjunction with a H7000. Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Desperately need firmware for my H906A (Deluxe FPV-1) Transmitter, I need v1.31.19.... it's a 3rd party firmware made by company that made these transmitters but had changed the LCD design on it then shipped it out w/ their own firmware on it in order for the LCD to function. Hubsan doesn't have it, typical for this seriously unorganized company. You would think some collaboration between firms on shit like this would be pertinent. If your transmitter is showing v1.31.19 on it.... *DO NOT CHANGE/UPGRADE IT!!*
I removed my earlier comments and want to post this retraction as well as apologize for those earlier comments. I was frustrated, tired, and lost my 502S drone 3 days ago. I have no doubt this influenced my unnecessary comments regarding these products. However, I do still maintain that the confusion level of these two could have been less if a little more thought went into the way it should be identified and promoted.
As for the video; I had only watched a minute of it earlier and then stopped because of the bad audio. However, I decided to return to watch the rest and I guess the wind died down or the videographer covered the mic with a filter. Whichever it was, I found that it improved the audio and I was able to understand the demo/announcement much better.

I have a 501 SS {Which is Black, not White} that shows H906A V1.31.19 for Controller and H501S V2.1.50 & V1.1.46 for Drone, purchased 2020. I'm assuming these are all firmware upgrades as opposed to this 2017 post?

I have 4 of these drones. Now that I can tell the difference, I have two of the s versions. Can I buy the new board, Install the new software and upgrade them to the ss version. The ss version does fly 100 times better. Please let me know if that can be done. if so, what do I need? Maybe send me the link to what I will need to do the job. These are older drones, I would like to try it with one of them if you say it can be done. Thank you very much!
Hello. As stated in the video, the H501S and H501SS have different video modules *and* motherboards. To buy both would also involve buying different motherboard modules- and collectively, the cost would probably equal or surpass that of a new H501SS standard. You could do this but the labor and money, from a client's perspective, is quite potentially not worth it.

I'm very confused. Annie says that if we have a H501ss with a standard transmitter, we can use the firmware to allow the 501ss to fly waypoints using the H7000 trasnmitter. I have tried to do this with my H501ss as it came with a standard trasmitter. Binding with the H7000 is easy, the problem is sending the waypoints to the quad. If you only have a point of interest, the transmitter is able to send successfully to the quad. But when trying to send waypoints to the quad you get the response "mission send faied" Could you please explain a little better what firmware is required on the quad and the trasmitters, both of them, in order to do what annie says is now possible ... the waypoints using the H700 transmitter.
I bought new version of x4 pro i study all commands n instructions ..I watch youtube videos how to Start it..but Ther3 is no gps on transmitter i really disappionted ..i repack the Package i ordered to 2 extra batteries..but its Gps in not working i tried everything they said..
ok I just got the H501S-S , it says S-S on the quad and the back of the standard controller , but when I power both of them up it does not go into compass cal mode , why is that ? I got this in jan 2019 , did they do a diff firmware to where you don't have to do that now ??? please let me know ? it flys ok but I have not used the return to home mode yet , just didn't want it to fly away
Your video does more for no sales. I am new to drones and totally confused about your presentation. Why not just call the drone a different name rather than an extra s making it confusing. Also, your cameraman needs to check mic and sound quality before filming. I would suggest you delete this video and do it all again with a script that does not go into the firmware and replacing boards.

Explanation sounds like the old "Abbot & Costello" routine "Who's On First". What a nightmare. I'd never buy one of these. The video is crap, compared to a MECHANICALLY STABILIZED video. I'd just as soon pay a few bucks more and get a DJI Spark, which DOES have a true 2 axis gimbal on it.
The Spark is not just a few bucks more, maybe for, but you not for a lot of us
