On Sept 15th 2013 The Great North River Run was a great race with Kenesia Bekele, Haile Gebresalassie and Mo Farah. Such a strong kick by all 3 but Kenesia Bekele 1st Mo 2nd and Haile 3rd.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the motorsports version of the one hour race, and it's quite popular, so I don't understand why this sort of record wouldn't be.
What's the en route record to a Marathon? I feel like this may have been beaten. Especially if you count the last hour of Kiptum's World Record. Would be interesting to see a chart. I get a sense that some of the best half/full marathoners could go 13.5/13.7 on a perfect day.
Awsome...please give THE exact date and time of the race...critical...yer the best...this geek needs this information as many bashers try to bash with no reason...
4th September 2020 - Brussels. Frankly pretty irrelevant as such a soft record!
These days the one hour run is basically a half marathon, so if you're a top half marathon runner, maybe take a shot at this.
I guess many athletes could reach and pass the 22km in the 1 hour if they train specific for it

If the half marathon record was continued till 1hour 22 km would be the record. Do the turns or boredom take a toll?

I appreciate you covering history races, but you must provide the dates of the races as part of the coverage. Please don’t present races from decades ago as they were yesterday, this is misleading.

I love Mo but this track record is slower than the HM road world record and there ARE a good amount of runners who could break this. It’s not a “bad” world record. But even compared to Kiplimo’s HM world record on the road… Kiplimo would have had 2.5 minutes to go another 200 meters. He could have walked it.
How often do you use the word "insane " ? .. Every video is insane !! This record is so soft it's ridiculous ! This is only just under the hour for the half marathon! Kiplimo would probably be around 1 1/2 to 2 laps up on this !
I can't stand Mo, biggest crybaby in the sport. His race "tactics" did nothing to advance any of the events he ran: no world records or all time list impressives. I was so glad when he moved to the roads and deservedly got trounced because he couldn't rely on his usual annoying lane clogging techniques to win..
