Things I love about this scene - 1; Merlin's skin is tanned. 2; the fact that Merlin was complaining about the 20th Century being a "Modern Mess" paralleling his "Medieval Mess" rant from the beginning of the movie. It seems like he just can't be pleased no matter what time he lands in.

When I was a kid every time Archimedes gets blown back from the chants I would just crack up laughing, it was hysterical back than I still chuckle seeing this now.
His attire is sort of "90s-ish" which is weird because this film came out in 1963. Though, I suppose that fits considering that Merlin said he went to the 20th century without naming any specific decade. So who knows? Maybe he got a first look at Pokemon Red for the Nintendo GameBoy and tasted a chocolate Dunkeroo.
Not necessarily as this story takes plac ein medieval times and this film was made in th e1960's s owe weren't in th e21 centur yyet granted we aer now bu tweweren' t when this was made.
