This is one of the best videos of all time! Is there anything cozier than seeing that woodsmoke rolling out of the chimney, knowing there are folks inside cooking, eating, singing, and sharing together? Thank you so much for this. (Wish I could get my hands on one of those gorgeous hand pies! 😁) I absolutely loved the song you gave us - evocative harmonies...

My family wasn't musically inclined but even the music, there's a communal aspect to it all that makes me miss my corner of Appalachia. I HAVE to find a way to garden at my next apartment.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one Miss Tipper from start to finish. So much good stuff packed into one video. From the food, to the old photos, the music, the creek, the sound of the rain falling, the clearing of the bank behind y’all’s house just all of it was great!
I do think it’s awesome that Thomas who you have known since he was a kid is now helping y’all’s dream come true with the work he’s doing for y’all and I’m sure he would love that old picture of him.
We can also hear the excitement about this project in your voice. Hope to see y’all soon. God Bless Y’all 😇🙏🏻😇🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻

What a perfectly lovely video, Miss Tipper. Thank you. My folks had a similar hillside terraced like yours and tried to plant ivy into it, but it still had occasional slides after heavy rainfall. Where the ivy took and once it caught on, they were forever fighting it back, so I suggest finding and planting a less invasive native with deep roots to hold that bank at bay. Maybe start with some wildflower seed? Or some comfrey? They have deep roots and you'd have the bonus of being able to pick them for a poultice if needed. I don't know how invasive they are, though, or if they will grow there. But what I really wanted to say is that this is a beautiful video. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The little stocking caps put on newborns my daughter calls "pepaw"caps. An elderly midwife many years ago,1960s, said she would always put cap,and pair booties on,and teaspoon warm water when a baby was born and none ever had colic. She had delivered like 400babies believe she said. She was an old Pentecostal!! The girls are certainly identical, and look so much like Matt. Course being around them I'm sure you see Tipper in them!! And it's something how from day to day peoples looks change, see different things they have from other family members. When I had my first baby in 1964 it cost $160 for Dr. Hospital was something like $50!!
