The sixties, film cameras, inventor, his girlfriend running up the stairs, evolution of the Steadycam - so warm time.
😁
How about a like and a comment to show how awesome these are! I especially loved the mix with film history, please continue to expand more on the development of the gear/techniques!! Its crazy how well his at home test shoots hold up to today's gimbal heavy world!
Thanks so much man! I had the most fun checking out the old rigs. I'll look into doing some more 😁
OMG! No autolevel, no autobalance, no wireless control! It's real magic! Thank you for video! ;)
hahaha! glad you liked it!
Awesome vid SteadiRed
thanks so much!
I was hoping you would talk about the reasons the shots in Brown's original sizzle real were impossible before and how he made them possible.
Great Video again, I notice how on the early rigs the socket block on the vest is really high up almost next to Garrett's shoulder/under his armpit so it puts the steadicam arm up really high. to my eyes you can almost see in the early shots with a gently rolling horizon, Im guessing he moved it in design changes to lower down as that reduces the upper body sway and lowers the weight of the arm to a more stable area of the body.
Really interesting to see..
Now.. I have to go try a find a demo day to try Steadicam again, Im inspired again. Last time i tried one it was at a Film and TV Tech Show, The exhibition area was really busy and i was really nervous!!!
good eye, I wish I noticed it.
its weird to try them for real at the trade shows. you don't want to be rude and take a lot of time with it. but, if your serious about getting one most companies will let you try it out.
Nice curation. Embarrassed to say my version of the rig looks more like his from 1980, but it's work in progress.
thanks! hahaha, i think thats really a benefit. not a lot of technology can be that old and still be used to work with.😁
Hey Red, what do you think about systems from china like laing master steadycam, greetings from Germany 🙌🏿
i wish i knew more about them.id love to try it. for me it was never an option because if something got damaged on it i wanted someplace in the US to be able to fix it fast. but, im sure its a different situation over in Germany
THE CHONKY KITTY HOLY MOLY HE THICC *-*
Hahahaha 😸
