My doctor recommended apple and peanut butter. I often have low blood sugar but if my sugar spikes too high I get a headache. I'm glad that this works for you.
I read your note and thought that you can have fruit in your diet. Typically, fruit that comes from deciduous tree (eg., apples, pears and stone fruits), citrus, berries and grapes have a low GI. Typically, bananas have a low GI but the more ripe they become the starch converts to sugar and the GI goes up (medium). Tropical fruits tend to have a moderate to high GI. Important, is the amount of fruit eaten. Typically 2 serves a day and spread throughout the day. A serve is what you can fit in you cupped hand (typically an apple, pear, a peach, 2 or 3 apricots - it depends how big they are). Fruit gives you vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre, all important for good health. If you test your blood sugars (BGLs), test before the meal and two hours after. HbA1c gives you a guide on how well your BGLs are going over the last 3 months. If you want to learn more about the GI go to www.glycemicindex.com. Good health to you
This is similar to what I had for dinner tonight. Very filling. I cut up 2 honey crisp apples and natural peanut butter. Seeing this video was quite the coincidence.
YES!!! Big fan of PB here, and apples. I used to eat it with dates, but have come to feel too much impact from them as theyre so sweet. PB though, might be one of my utmost top favorite foods, despite sometimes bad reputation. I always get organic, no added palm oil. Until recently when my foodprocessor broke i made my own for years. Raw peanuts with skins, bulk from Indian grocery, organic when possible, roasted in oven, then milled with salt and sesame oil 😋 I think just about every plant on the planet CAN potentially be beneficial, but humanity is currently dealing with a slough of complicating factors. Peanuts are the bomb, especially as sauce or butter.❤
Well, just read the ingredients. That's why I don't buy those brands names like jiffy. They are loaded with sugar. I buy the one with only peanuts and less than 1% of salt
It looks like you use a variety of monitors (the sensor attached to your triceps changes shape and color in your videos). Maybe you could talk about the make and models you use and why?
Alcohol can increase your insulin sensitivity. Thus, it can help lower your blood glucose level (BGL). If you’re on insulin, it can increase the risk of a low BGL or hypoglycaemia (a hypo). Alcohol is counted as an extra food, because alcohol has no essential nutrition. You are looking at a 100ml wine or about 285ml beer or a shot (30ml) spirits
Complex carbs (a stupid term) just means a starch. Not all starches have a low GI. Fructose is not a complex carb. It’s a sugar with a low GI. It needs to go to the liver to be changed to glucose, the blood sugar. An apple is a serve of fruit, typically two serves a day. 30g of peanut or peanut spread is a serve. Peanuts have protein and fat, which limits the amount you can eat
Please do a test on one banana popsicle. I'm borderline diabetic and I allow my self ONLY one popsicle. My glucose is not much better. I don't eat many carbs but allow the popsicle. Thank you
It’s the best apple by far especially with something rich like peanut butter I can’t imagine having a disgusting sweet red apple with pb..taste is subjective different strokes for different folks
Just looked up Skippy, and it has 6 grams of carbs w/ 2 grams of fiber. I don't think that's loaded with sugar. Natural peanutbutter probably 2-3 grams
Good all what you are doing thanks. Yet my blood sugar raises every time I eat peanuts about 109 grams. I prefer to eat the peanuts than the peanut butter. Please test the peanuts for me.
I used to crash when I would take insulin and peanut butter and apple was a snack that was suggested to me to keep from crashing. I was told that it regulates your blood sugar throughout the night
Hi there, would you write a book in the future to better educated adults and mostly for elderly people so they can better learn true visualization Thank you, just a thought.
Okay, but what if you switch the peanut butter for for mild cheddar cheese? I used to eat this for a snack when skiing. Have you done a test with pineapple?
If there was an award to be given, it would be for your videos good health habits, great advice, a clear message to the point short . Wow 🏆 👏

Nice! Please, more snacks. Thank you
Hallelujah!!!!!
We have a winner 🎉.
Love you videos 📹 ❤
My go to snack is an apple (organic honey crisp or Granny Smith) and an oz or so of Kerrygold Reserve cheese.
You’re awesome
Depends on what sweetener is used because aspartame is now coming out that it causes cancer.
No sugar added
I APPRECIATE THE EXPERIMENTATION OF FOODS THAT YOU DO. COULD WE HAVE A COPY OF YOUR LIST??
I was praying for this to be just fine on the blood sugar cause it’s DELISH :)
This is so nice.
Do you have a list of snacks that can be consumed to control diabetes ?
Well, just read the ingredients. That's why I don't buy those brands names like jiffy. They are loaded with sugar. I buy the one with only peanuts and less than 1% of salt
It looks like you use a variety of monitors (the sensor attached to your triceps changes shape and color in your videos). Maybe you could talk about the make and models you use and why?
He did pick the least sugary apple to be fair. Some might give a slight bump but long live the mighty apple anyway
Woah! It's delicious and no spike.
Many foods are loaded with sugar. Their sugar-free versions are more expensive. I wonder why.
🏖
has anyone else noticed that dry red wine reduces postprandial glucose spikes?

I just got sugar free (unsweetened)peanut butter 🧈 & still EXTREMELY SWEET
Please do a test on one banana popsicle. I'm borderline diabetic and I allow my self ONLY one popsicle. My glucose is not much better. I don't eat many carbs but allow the popsicle. Thank you
Of all the lovely apples, why granny smith. Yuck
😂😂😂. I really appreciate you!
It’s the best apple by far especially with something rich like peanut butter I can’t imagine having a disgusting sweet red apple with pb..taste is subjective different strokes for different folks
your videos are very good and helpful but I wouldn't call 2g of added sugar for 2 Tbsp commercial PB being "loaded" with sugar.
I love this try, i will add it as well ❤
Just looked up Skippy, and it has 6 grams of carbs w/ 2 grams of fiber. I don't think that's loaded with sugar. Natural peanutbutter probably 2-3 grams

Make sure that doing all these experiments on our behalf doesnt wreck your insulin sensitivity.😮
Red apple and peanut butter please
also good with a side of scrambled eggs , my daily breakfast
You have peanut butter with scrambled eggs?
I used to crash when I would take insulin and peanut butter and apple was a snack that was suggested to me to keep from crashing. I was told that it regulates your blood sugar throughout the night
Please do ACAI
Hi there, would you write a book in the future to better educated adults and mostly for elderly people so they can better learn true visualization Thank you, just a thought.
Will you do one with apples and almond butter and chia seed butter
Thank you for the videos! I’m wondering different type apples might also impact on result.
They do.
Could you try the Granny Smith apple and cheddar cheese?
Remember a serve of cheese is 30g (1 oz). Apples have a low GI
That would be great for me if I could stop at that portion size.
PB oil salt organic only
I think granny Smith is the apple with the lowest sugar
I think it is actually I stared eating them more
I can only use crazy Richard's peanut butter. It has two grams of sugar per serving and no salt.
Not all groceries store carry No Sugar Peanut Butter
Hi, can you please try to drink chamomile after the meal it does lower the blood sugar
Can you try Sorghum?
I ate a pound of this peanut butter with two granny smith.
I'm going to start snacking on peanut butter and apples.
👍💕
