Technically that first story was false imprisonment, possibly kidnapping, but the manager and district manager are in lala land if they think a regular employee is going to have manager-level professionalism about cleaning up an on-purpose bathroom explosion. That's why said employees are supposed to be supervised.
Definitely kidnapping, but no jury would be likely to convict given the circumstances. Definitely a firing offense. The proper thing to do was to call the police and file charges against the guy.
@@brandexample1776 it wouold have been considered destruction of property, but he still would have been allowed to detain for the police. although not allowed to lay his hand on him.
The report every injury thing is most likely and OHAS thing. Like they said small injuries from faulty equipment. Could lead to worse injuries if the problem is not fixed.
When you have to report even minor injuries at home, it's really intrusive though. What if they judge you based on number of injury reports? If I scratch myself shaving every day, will they go "This emoyee has 30 injury reports this month, he's clearly a liability. Let's fire him."?
@@TheAstroflight Ugh... to paraphrase Cleveland Brown- "That's nasty". I hope your son got that injury cleaned out and treated by a certified doctor. MRSA? That's nasty. And not funny in the least bit.🤢😵💫😟
My Ex used to work in a Bank. Guy brought a check written on an EGG! Manager dropped it on the floor & said, " Well at least it didn't bounce like all your others"
When I apprentice in a office, I found some error. And that error is quite an error cuz it's about employee insurance and the paper I handle is an important paper because it's including all employee from several branch. It's makes me nervous I check them several times but still wrong and I began questioning myself. Finally I ask and let my supervisor to check them and sure enough it's a terrible error and someone from admin enter the data wrong and the whole hr and finance office need to redo the whole thing. One month work getting wasted. It's someone else fault but I'm the one who was nervous as heck cus I found it. I feel like I should keep it quiet or something lol
That bathroom one you should have sued them. Wrongful termination since you didn’t do anything wrong and make that POS clean his own mess. I would have also told them I could have left it for y’all to clean if you would have wanted that. Don’t ever put up with that crap.
I was thinking the customer probably was upset that the town wasn't using taxes to fix the road in front of their house and that "Check" was part of one of the potholes
Anytime someone says to, A- could you put that in writing, B- I need you to sign this especially if that is not protocol or C- I will need you to send me a Email telling me what it is you are asking me to do. If someone requests that you do any of these you need to stop, ask them why and to please explain to you why they needed this. You can rest assured that they are CYA and you are about to screw up.

That might have been under shopkeepers rights. The guy vandalized the property.

@@geoffstrickler Actually it might be considered something like detaining a shoplifter. Which is legal.

He didn't move the guy so it's not kidnapping; false imprisonment would still be a stretch since the guy, in effect, confessed to the crime.
Paul and his partner got greedy...too bad for those idiots that their stupidity matched that greed. Hahahaha, good on OP's Boss and Tex
*Moral of the story:* Never skim off a job and expect to get away with it!

Reporting injuries: this beats places that would fire you if you reported an injury. OP needs to grow up.

@@Spencer-wc6ew at-home injuries only matter if you exacerbate it at work (the aforementioned tearing a scab) in this scenario.

Destroying a bathroom is vandalism

On the first story, op don't worry you will find a better job instead of that toxic place
It is NOT "the Owner" trying to embezzle, and NOWHERE is "private property" even mentioned.
Hello RedWheel hope you are well. Thanks for the third upload. Please stay safe.🏴😷😁👍. Have a great day and a wonderful week ahead everyone
Regarding the asphalt check, I've heard of a check being written on the back of his shirt
I was thinking the customer probably was upset that the town wasn't using taxes to fix the road in front of their house and that "Check" was part of one of the potholes
That's sooooooooooooooo funny. The Paul learned who is real owner of this land, business, and private property, and did not like the consequences!
