@@jinbe_of_the_sea4577 if you want value, I’d just trade for hats. Crafting almost always gives less value than buying hats. But, if you like RNG, crafting hats is fun

You can get hats from rare drops, as long as you have a premium account. And this isn’t really too bad now, since refined is insanely cheap. The value of the 260 refined I used on this entire video is now around $10.
Yeah at the time I just bought $20 worth of keys, traded for refined, then crafted because it sounded fun. Now $20 would get you nearly double this I think
I don’t think you’d make any profit, but this is a good way to pad out your inventory if you want a random assortment of hats. $2.49 for 20-ish random hats

I spent $20 on keys, and traded a backpack.tf bot for refined. The price of refined has dropped like crazy since, and is now worth nearly half of what it was at the time. So you could spend the same for double the hats, or spend half as much money for the same amount of hats.
It’s also worth noting that I would have been able to get more hats had I just traded for them directly. But I found this to be fun. An average hat is around 1.33 refined metal, while they craft for 3.

It’s not profitable, but imo ref is cheap enough now that it’s fun to occasionally throw $5 at it to get like 45 hats just to see what you get

I spent $20 at the time. Since then, the price of metals have gone so low that you can do this for somewhere closer to $10
