I have been to TRS Yucatan and stayed at the White Sands many times and Instill enjoyed experiencing it all over again with you. Your positivity and smiles are contagious. Love this tour. Thank you
Thank you for the kind words and for watching! It was a thrill getting to spend some time here and everything was so nice, all the staff so professional and accommodating that we just had to share the experience. Hope to do this again--and should you ever see us, say hello!!
Great video ! Loved how you showed so much of the resort ! The Chic was great to see...and all the pools! Looks like a great time for you both. Gracias!
Thank you so much!! Definitely appreciate the feedback too--we really wanted to show off the resort to show there was more than just staying in the room. And we cannot stress enough how professional and safe everybody was during these pandemic times.
It was an amazing time away--pretty sure we're going to insist on vacationing ONLY in pandemic times to have resorts like this ourselves--ha ha! The Plunge Pool was great--but FRICKIN' FREEZING!!! LOL
This looks so cool guys I like the fact you have your own pool outside your room. Great music also for this video. I know you would have enjoyed your holiday. Take care
Thanks so much for watching--and enjoying the music! I've had a few compliments on that so it's nice to know I did it justice. :-) The private pool was cold but definitely great to have--of course the place was practically deserted that it didn't matter--but still a great addition!
Absolutely stunning!! I am very jelly right now but equally really glad you were able to have such a superb holiday 👌 I will be putting this place on my visit list for sure!
It was an incredible time--beautiful resort, amazing excursions--and honestly, having it "to ourselves" during pandemic times made it superb. So....meet up with you there next year then?
Great choice on Classic Jim Carrey movie quotes😂🤣😂🤣 That whole area looks Immaculate, too many Wicked Awesome and Gooooooorgeooooooousareas and things to mention😍😍😍😍 Thanks for sharing Do You Nerd?!
Thank YOU for watching! It's our attempt to take all of our nerdlings along with us and get them all out of the house in these pandemic times. Ha ha! It was so gorgeous there--and dude, nice ear on picking up the quotes!! Well done sir!
@@DoYouNerd I enjoyed my Nerdling adventure very much with you and Laci🤘😁👏 I do the same when it comes to Horror Movie Conventions, for all of my life friends, who are unable to go to them😊 I Love quite a few of Jim Carrey's movies, therefore those quotes were an easy hear for me!
Thank you--and thank you--it WAS needed. We pretty much shut off from the world that week. lol Now that we proved this is possible, let's open up some conventions people, let's go, let's go!!
Aw yeah--part of an advertising and business chance we couldn't turn down. AND--honestly one of the greatest trips ever as we had this resort practically to ourselves!
Thank you! It was gorgeous there--and having it to ourselves--especially our private pool--was amazing! And ha!! Dude, every coffee came with Bailey's; every breakfast a mimosa; every lunch a cocktail--it was pretty epic!! Brought home a nice bottle of aged rum too!

Thank you! It was pretty nice--we've decided to ONLY vacation during pandemic times. Ha ha--joking aside, it was truly impressive how serious they took cleanliness there--no worries at all.
Wow! That’s a really nice room. Beautiful resort. I know you guys enjoyed yourselves. Thanks for sharing your experience. Currently still looking at snow outside my window. 😂
Thank you and thanks for watching! It was a great trip--the weather was perfect, practically had the resort to ourselves, and everything was kept clean and safe--apparently pandemic time is THE time to vacation. lol
So get this--we took the Switch and a ton of games...never turned it on once. How bizarre is that? On the bright side, we managed to stay very busy the whole time we were there. Once home we really could've used a vacation FROM the vacation--some actual relaxing time. lol
While we were there it was all sun, only a little cloud cover, and generally hung in the upper 60s and 70s F. We enjoyed that, the staff seemed pretty chilly though. However, that temperature DID make the pools that much colder.
We were near Playa Del Carmen, about an hour's drive south from Cancun. There were a couple of places to visit for tequila so I'd definitely check out the area you would be in to see which you think will fit best, especially if staying at a resort and it's an excursion. Oh, and if you haven't tried the creme varieties, they're incredible!
@@DoYouNerd Playa del Carmen is not an hour's drive from Cancun. It is 30 minutes south of it. Actually half way between Cancun and the TRS Yucatan resort!!
@@ocotillorose Google maps usually mark Cancun to Playa Del Carmen at about an hour. Even if it were a half hour drive, I would highly recommend accounting extra time for potential traffic. And of course it all boils down to where you're staying. From TRS Yucatan itself it took 15-20 minutes--it was very close by and highly recommended!
@@DoYouNerd Well we've been vacationing in the Riviera Maya area since 2007! We have taken many private transfers from the Cancun Airport to the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Resort (which contains the TRS Yucatan adult only resort section) and the travel time is always one hour (give or take a few minutes). It's 30 minutes from airport to Playa del Carmen and another 30 minutes from Playa to the resort. If anyone wants to vacation down there book a private transfer to get you to the resort. It's $130.00 roundtrip for two people (includes tax). You are the only ones in the van. No shared ride where you have to wait for others to board your van or bus and then stop along the way at other resorts to drop people off (and the same thing on the way back!). We use Canada Transfer, or NAST Transfer.
Forgot to add that if you don't want to do that "free" excursion to the jewelry store (the tour's purpose is hoping you'll buy way overpriced jewelry) and Playa del Carmen shopping, just walk out to the highway thru the resort's security gate and grab the public transportation called a Colectivo. Air conditioned white 12-14 seater vans for $3.00 per person one way. Playa del Carmen is the last stop. They run continuously between Tulum and Playa. You can ask to stop anywhere in between. You then can stay as long as you like in PLaya (great shops, restaurants and bars without being on that "excursion. TRS Yucatan is part of the four resort complex of the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Resort and Spa (did you ever go there?). What's nice is that when you are a guest at TRS you can go to any of the other three family resorts that are all located right there next to it. You can do any of their 9 ala carte restaurants, drink at any of their bars, swim at any of the pools, and join in the entertainment besides what is privately offered by the TRS for it's guests. Guests at the other three resorts may not use any of the TRS area! TRS does not have a beach directly located in fro0nt of it, but instead sits right on the rocky shoreline (Infinity pool actually overlooks the beautiful Caribbean Sea (not the ocean that was mentioned in the video! LOL!). TRS guests can walk right to the resort next door (White Sand Resort section) past the saltwater pool shown in the video. That's where the actual beach begins and spans over a half mile to where it then ends at the Kantenah Resort section. TRS has a private beach section located at Kantenah beach for it's guests (you can private cart there or walk along the beach to reach it) where there are Bali beds and drink/snack service. Gorgeous. Only one other brand resort adjacent to Kantenah (no resorts on the other side of TRS that can be seen) and the rest of the area is still just natural jungle. Great long walks can be had! If you want to see ruins that are closer than Chichen Itza (about 8-10 hour day.....long ride each way) then Tulum is 30 minutes south of the resort and Coba (the only Mayan ruin left that you can still climb to the top of the Pyramid) around 75 minutes ride. Akumal (where you can snorkel with the giant sea turtles) is around 7 minutes south of the resort. Oh yeah....the resort has it's own private centote (no swimming, though) right on the grounds! Beautifully lit up at night where you can arrange for a private romantic dinner!!! Come on down!!! This resort and local area are fabulous! So much to do and see in the area. It takes several trips to take most of it in!
I'm willing to agree--photos alone certainly do not properly capture this! We will definitely work to up our game should we ever get an opportunity like this again!
