Thom, Richie done an interview about this model for the UK magazine Total Guitar back in the day, I have the interview somewhere. He explained that the redesign for to be closer to his favourite guitar his original 57 Strat. In the interview he was also talking about taking tips on his rig from Jeff Beck and the Hot Noiseless were designed for Jeff.
@@ThomTranOnline I will do. Certain it was Christmas 99, I recall because our family dog ate the front cover 🤣. It was a big interview and Richie also talked about EVH as well as Jeff Beck in it! Will have a look for it soon and report back if I find it.
Thanks so much for these awesome videos and info!! You have some really incredible guitars! i think my fav has to be the cherry burst. maybe one day i'll find one. Is the Black Paisley produced exclusively in Japan only?
Glad you're enjoying them. Check out the episode I did on the Black Paisley Sambora for all the answers! ruclips.net/video/eF2VYd1M-PQ/видео.htmlsi=nx9eGHEOn4aatHtEruclips.net/video/eF2VYd1M-PQ/видео.htmlsi=nx9eGHEOn4aatHtE
I have one Richie Sambora Signature US model Mark I in white and the same Richie Sambora Signature US model Mark II in Vintage White. Both have incredible playability and are my main guitars! Funny that on the Mark I I got an original signature from Ritchie Blackmore whom I know personally. I gave him the Sambora Strat to sign it, he played for about 10 minutes and he liked it! 👍🎸🎸
I know the Mk 1 is the most famous and probably most shoutout version of the Fender Sambora signature series but IMHO the Mk2 is where they nailed the perfect blend of vintage-modern rock Strat tone and character.
Love the video, I had bought awhile back a Fiesta Red one from Norman's. Very cool guitar. I ended up selling it because I just wasn't playing it as I'm a Tele guy. Mine actually did not have that boost button.
That's a nice one. I'd probably take a Series 2 over any of the other ones. Like you, as I've matured as a guitarist I've found myself moving away from the Floyd Rose. They're just a pain in the butt. Broke a string during a gig? It's useless... I hope you brought another guitar! Time to change strings? Maybe another time... I don't have a couple of hours to spend on this right now! I have one guitar with a Floyd Rose licensed trem on it (my 1992 Ibanez RG560 with a LoPro Edge), which was my main electric guitar throughout my teens and into my 20s. At one point I even blocked the bridge because I couldn't stand it anymore. That's when I realized it was time for another guitar... then another... and another... but it remains the only guitar I have with that type of bridge in it. I've since refloated the bridge and definitely still play it, but I do prefer other guitars over it, for the reasons I've already stated. That said, if I had to grab a guitar in a fire, it would be that one. We've been on this crazy 30+ year journey together, and I just couldn't leave that one behind. Also, I agree... Rodimus Prime... WTF...
I'm curious, I'm certain the Japanese model was the one Richie used at the Live from London VHS/DVD Wembley shows, would that be correct, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Loving the videos!! keep them coming!!
So jealous of anybody has thd Mk1. Instead of pictures of ferraris or porsches, on my bedroom wall was that strat. Gutted i never got my hands on one 😢
Same. The first episode I ever did had a photo from my bedroom at my dad’s house when I was in high school and you’ll see posters of Sambora and Clapton! I HAD a Mk. 1. But 2020 happened. So. 🤷🏻♂️ I hope you get one someday!
Thanks man, I remember back in 94 after showing that I was commited to playing, my parents loaned me enough £ to get a proper guitar. Walked out of the shop with an MIJ 62 fotoflame which I still love to this day however, a few days later I open a magazine to see the MIM Sambora strat.... Even without star inlays I would have had it. I was gutted 😂 Maybe one day ,👍
3:47 That’s my comment!! Thanks for including it in the video!!
It is! I wasn’t sure if you’d mind me using your name and photo, but yeah! Thanks for leaving the comment. It pushed me to do this episode sooner!
@@ThomTranOnline Glad to hear that. I'm actually planning on building my own Strat that's heavily based on the Series 1 Sambora Strat.
Dude another badass vid ! Keep up the good stuff thom!
Thanks! Hope you enjoy the arrest of the series!
I have a cherry sunburst USA series 1 but I'm in the UK. Love it!

Omg that’s awesome! I would LOVE to read that article! If you find out which issue it was in or find it, please let me know!

@@ThomTranOnline If you can do a video about the history of Richie's kramer guitars
It's on the list of episodes to get done!@@BonJovi1987Fan

That’s awesome! I ALSO had a white Sambora Mark 1. I’ve got a great photo somewhere of my 3 Sambora signature models together. I’ll have to find it!

Hope Fender to reissue the RS model 😂😂😂!BTW,I have a Japanese Made MK2…

I've still got a couple of Ibanez PGM's, but only one with the Lo Pro Edge trim (the PGM300). Everything else is a hardtail. Just so much easier!
I would like to see an Iron Maiden and Dave Murray strats
