just my suggestion, u need to put numbers on screen when u say the cost, and give the USD too so people can compare to.. good video btw. if u search for the worker food (a more small warung, pasar malam, etc) u can get around 15-20k (1 usd) per person..
Thank you for this. I had absolutely NO idea what 20k was... 20 thousand somethings? Now I can do the calculations. Thanks again.
i agree I forgot what the USD/IDR rate was - it's a bit over 15k IDR to 1 USD.
basically. if you eat local food, they're really affordable, delicious, and actually supporting the local economy.
love the info and video. i just laughed when you said its similliar to the cost of the expensive countries. i live in the usa, its nowhere near lol
Thank you for breaking down the cost of living in Bali! It's so helpful to see a realistic budget breakdown for expats or digital nomads considering a move to this beautiful island. Bali's affordable living expenses make it even more enticing as a potential destination. Can't wait to experience the island life! 🌴💼 #BaliLiving
Thank you for this thankful insights! Excited to keep learning from you
RUclips recommended me your video and I am so thankful, really great stuff.
btw
I was wondering do you need an editor for editing your videos.
Cheap AF. Been having a great time here for $1300/month. Getting a lot of work done, and meeting nice people. 60 days is perfect. 3 weeks to see everything, and 5 weeks to get work done.
You hiring?
thanks for sharing, very insightful
Indeed it can be super cheap, mid range like yours or very expensive, all in all well done on the video it helps others plenty, been thinking about renting long term in Bali as it is one of those places I really enjoyed and I didn't consider the shared villa before, that is extremely affordable.
Seems realistic. Just got back from two weeks in Bali and found it's surprisingly easy to spend a lot as there are so many fancy restaurants, resorts and shops. With discipline, however, it's possible to have a good quality of life for a very affordable price. Personally, I'm not interested in living in the most touristy areas so that would also help.
the main tourist area is crap now....over priced restaurants for all the instagram tossers!~! Head North East ...Warungs rule!!
@@scottythetravellingguy I found Ubud to be quite cheap, and well worth visiting for its cultural attractions, despite its popularity. But the really touristy beaches along the south coast sound awful. Loved Sidemen and Amed but imagine there may be even more unspoilt areas.
Candidasa is a bit of a fav for me lately, also Lovina up the top of the island, although a little touristy nothing like the southern end.@@budawang77
Thank you, very useful. I am visiting soon. Maybe I retire there
Thanks for sharing
You forgot transportation...or was that included in the Shopping category?
Thanks for being so honest. I read an article written by an Australian this morning who daid he said AUS $70 a week fir a family of 4. No way, unless they are all eating fruit for every meal. Bali has gotten expensive with western cafes and prices of accommodation. Some 2 bedroom villas are now $500 Australian per week, pre covid they were more like $300 a week. Coffees cost $5, same prices as here in Australia. Your costs for an Australian are 2 to 2.5k per month. You didnt add in health insurance or gym fees or share work space fees that digital nomads usually spend.
Great video, thank you.
Can you please share how to book the villa? I'd like to do month and $270 is great
Considering 1 person, and maintein accomodation equal, will be something like $720/month?
Great video..
Thanks
Where you stay? Where I can find information on the housing. I like idea of sharing kitchen and pool, with private washroom
You can check google maps or Facebook market place for accommodation ☺️
Considering this is for 2 people that's really good
I think 4m per month is pretty good for that shared Villa. It looks nice. Do you think you could do that long term ie more than 6 months or would it start to feel uncomfortable sharing with others?
This guesthouse we shared in the video is much more expensive now, this video is 1 year old already. But in terms of sharing with others, it really depends on the other people. People are transient here, so things might change fast
Wow. That is fantastic. I am solo and I don't drink so I could do it easily. Can you find Pizza there? It's probably the only 'western' food I crave on my WFPB diet.
Oh yes! So much western food here! It’s just alittle more expensive 😅 & many good pizza places 🍕
you need to subtitle the different currency like dollar lbs yen etc
I made a big mistake going to Bali, fairly expensive, didn't like the locals at all, very aggressive...I'm guessing it's the same in Jakarta...much better in Thailand or Philippines
Great calculation
What's "a hundred K"? I don't even know what currency that's in. Anyway, I guess things are somewhat cheaper. I think it's much less to live in the Philippines, though.
Cool :)
You need to explain the prices
Siapa sih yg mau ke Indo.
Saya aja lari dr Indo.
God dang. If it's not cheap for 'em. How the locals are even able to survive with less than 300 usd per month salary.
what warung is that on 1.47 min
Balinese currency is the rupiah so what does 50 k mean?
People saying that 1300-1500 dollars/month is cheap. What is wrong with you people jfc...
If you're a DN its likely your from a Western country and you're a SWE. So, it is cheap based on that type of salary.
@@1____-____1 What am I reading ; in what world is 1500/month cheap, even if you have a Scandinavian salary...
@@kokorochin01IDK, me living in the US as a SWE, even 2k is still cheap.
@@1____-____1 No it's not, when minimum wage is 1300 euros in ''rich countries''.
You need to stop smoking crack, clearly. WTF is wrong with people in this world ; done reading and responding to this stupid take.
Excellent video. My husband and I are moving to Bali 😊❤
Rupiah ❤❤❤
Iwant to live there with my pension....thinking of moving there
100$ a day in very low level life like homeless + if fly from far away will be 200$ a day + other expenses .
or second cheaper option eat street food but for what fly far to not enjoy life . Share villa is like hostel some shit stranger walk by my privacy
medmazoooon
How do you find your accommodation in Bali?
Facebook groups & google maps ☺️
That sort of lifestyle in a western country would be much more expensive. Maybe 4 times.
Exchange not imported ??? Silly
indonesia becomes the largest ripoff country thanks to a great gov. Prices are extremely high for everything. if you look to spend less there are many other better choices.
agreed. Stay away. Go to Thailand
Like?
@@Teamshmo like thailand, malaysia, vietnam, cambodia. it is sad because indonesia and the philippines were once very good destinations.
Convert price to dollars please
Can't you use a currency converter?
Might wanna give the prices of the foods etc in U.S. currency ?? What if we don't know how much a mil is ??
use a calculator or an app on your phone
Google
that;s still quite cheap. When you look at the per person break-down it's at most $800 USD, that's less then im paying for rent in BKK. slight more then I'd be paying if it wasnt an monthly AirBnB :) but still. And yes I know I can find cheaper accommodations but i have a specific area i want to live in and I can't take the very small places so I pay a bit of a premium for that.
What is 100k in other currencies. From the start that should have been established. That's why you got a thumbs down and I'm ending the content, not subscribing..
Ok you entitled prick. You’re so entitled I’ll give you a thumbs down & heart at the same time.
They will rob you
Ohhhhh dear move on stop talking shite i go to the prices
Boring
I hope this is helpful and does not seem mean. Its not meant to be. Your video would be much more pleasant to watch if you put your hands down. Having your hands flailing about through the video is tedious and distracting. There are so many professional vloggers who understand this, that its worth it to just I moved on and watch them. I hope you become very successful.
Stop with lies about living in Bali.
Which part is lying? In the description it clearly says the video was originally posted in June 2022 because we reuploaded it from another channel
@@LetsChaseLight Living in means at the very least semi permanently, a couple of years for example.
Thanks
