You chose such a tough question for the yarn prize! I think I would choose to knit with the same yarn but different colors because I get so much joy from seeing the different colors as you’re knitting.
Hi Chelsea, loved all that you purchased at Flock. Cant wait to see what you will be making. No Pressure LOL. Love watching your channel and seeing all the beautiful items you have knitted. I think I would rather have more time to knit, so that I can squeeze in a half an hour of spinning on my drop spindle. After you got your spinning wheel, I'm thinking more and more about getting one too. There is just not enough time in the day to do all my knitting hobbies, don't even talk about my art/yarn room that's bulging at the seams. Very sad, but true. all the same I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 2 yr Anniversary!! I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time at the festival. I went to the Michigan Fiber Festival yesterday and did some damage myself, though nothing so grand as your haul. Still, I save up for it and therefore, I do not regret any of my purchases either!!😉😊
I think I would be fine knitting with the same kind of yarn all the time over just one color... and
I would rather always have time to knit!! then it doesn't matter if you get gauge without swatching, because I can just keep knitting until I get it right or just do the dang swatch!😜🤣🤣🤣
Chelsea be proud of what you are able to buy you don’t owe anyone an explanation save that for a husband one day! lol that’s the only one who will ever care! It’s wonderful to be young and enjoy something as wonderful as knitting. You work hard you deserve it!

Loved loved all your purchases and as long as it makes you happy and you have the money to spend don’t you ever feel you need to explain it to anyone. To answer the question about what I rather do I think I would rather knit with the same yarn but not the same color. Even if it was my favorite color I don’t think I could knit with the same color for ever. Congratulations on your podcast anniversary🎉keep them coming!!

Sounds like such an amazing trip! Flock is on my list for 2025! Beautiful purchases, and it looks like you're branching out and buying things that are a little different from what's on the yarn shelves behind you. Marvelous stash diversity! Re: question 1... I'd rather knit with a different yarn. I do love color, but I'm a blue girl through and through, so it wouldn't be all that different from my usual color choices, and being able to have different textures, weights, and compositions is important to me. Re: question 2... always have time to knit FOR SURE! I can swatch but I can't always clear my calendar in my current season in life. Happy knitting and spinning! You're going to be so happy and cozy this fall and winter with plenty to do.

If it’s my favorite favorite yarn, I’d use one yarn in hundreds of colors, if it’s not my favorite, I’d pick a charcoal/medium grey and use ALL the hundreds upon hundreds of types and blends and try them all! Can always add a pop of color w earrings or collar shirt and tails? Front panels? lol also, if I say grey, I will get so many different interpretations, cool/warm combos I shouldn’t be bored. Flock was lovely last year, I heard it was even better this year.
This is one of my favorite podcasts of yours. Looove that it was acquisition heavy. It's so nice to see your excitement over your choices. I would rather knit with the same yarn.

Hi Chelsea. Congratulations on your 2nd year anniversary. I would knit with the same colour, as the same weight of yarn would bore me. I would also love to have all the time in the world to knit - I don’t mind doing swatches. Enjoy your purchases. I knit on a budget so I love watching others buy all of the yarn.

If I had to choose, I would knit with the same yarn, so I could have all the colors! Math would be involved, but colors are for sure the best choice!

I would have to choose knitting with same yarn, unless if choosing one color allows for dif shades of one color (loop hole😝) and if I cld hit gauge every time, that would just be amazing!!! I love all the different yarns you buy, I can live vicariously thru you😁…plus you can tell us what you like or didn’t like so I know if I want to buy said yarns…have fun with our OK yarn crawl! BTW…we stumbled into an old fashioned candy store across from SWAK, couldn’t resist!!! Plus SWAK is a flagship store for Rowan (I didn’t know this)…I’m so excited to try Rowan..I got to touch and squeeze all the yarns that I’ve been eyeing👏🏻👏🏻 have a wonderful few weeks and look forward to your next podcast.

Just returned to sewing last year and have had so much fun with it. Go for it! Start with what you want. Love to chat about projects and ideas if you want an online friend ☺️. I mostly make tops and just started to make my own pants. It can be as dangerous as knitting, purchase-wise.
Always the same yarn and always different colours! Always having time to knit would be amazing - I never hit gauge anyway 😂

I would rather knit with the same yarn, as opposed the same color. I am very motivated by color, yet when I find a yarn I love, I then want all my fav colors. ❤️🧶 Happy Knitting!

I’m gonna say same yarn different color but that being said the amount of pink knits I have in my pile and to be knit pile you’d think I’d comfortably choose same color 😂 Happy Anniversary! Been watching since the beginning and it’s been great watching the whole time! 🎉

I am also mainly a knitter and spinner, but I jumped into sewing with the Estuary Skirt as well- I found it to be the perfect project, especially since I found a youtube video of someone walking through every step of the process. Definitely recommend!
PS- I'd rather knit with the same yarn instead of the same colour but it needs to be a yarn I absolutely love, and I'd like to never have to gauge swatch (I usually don't anyway! lol)
I think you are free to buy as much yarn as you want with your own money, and I like seeing it all 🥰

I love watching your videos makes me want to fly from the Midwest all the way to flock next year and of and if I did my suitcase might look just as full. I always say I need all the crayons in my box to make all the things. I would rather knit with the same yarn in all the different colors. And I would prefer to always make gauge because I find time to knit but sometimes so not get the products from my time because of gauge issues. Enjoy all your new things and I hope they inspire your creativity.
Whoaaaaa that is a very hard would you rather! I think I would rather always knit with the same yarn and be able to make different colors because you could chose one that’s your favorite and still make tons of different things!

HI Chelsea! So jealous that you got to go to Flock and Seattle area that's on my bucket list!. I think I'd rather always knit with the same color of yarn... But all the different fibers!! I would hate to get stuck with Fingering weight forever because fingering weight sweaters take FOOOORRREEEEVVVEEERRR! LOL I've also ALWAYS want to have time for knitting. Gauge swatch!? LOL whats that" j/k... I'm ok not always hitting gauge cuz i tend to be able to make adjustments. Love watching and hearing your adventures in yarn and all the fibery goodness!

Congratulations on your podcast anniversary! I love all your stash purchases. I hope you got to go to Sealed With a Kiss shop in Guthrie. I went to the shop a lot when I lived in Edmond. Your this or that question…… I don’t think I could always knit with same color forever but I could use the same yarn.

A fun podcast - you certainly sold me on attending a future Flock event. Your first question presents a difficult dilemma but I was finally able to select knitting with the same yarn and different colors. Have fun arranging your new yarns.

Fist time viewer, loved your flock recap and seeing all your haul. My daughter lives in Bellingham and I hadn’t heard of spin cycle. I went to Apple yarns last month but didn’t find spin cycle. I will check it out next visit. I would rather knit with the same yarn but different colors. You would get to know the yarn well and color really inspires me. My best friend lives in Yukon, OK and I get there frequently.

I love seeing what you bought! As I’m in Australia, a lot of the things you have access to are different to what I can get, mostly because of shipping and currency conversion, but I like to dream and add to my wish list 😊
I would pick to always have time to knit, it’s such a calming practice for me at the end of every day!
For sewing, I found RUclips videos by BlueprintDIY and The DIY Designer really helpful. They pattern hack and upcycle a lot so that inspired and encouraged me to start sewing without patterns. Also Jess Dang who creates her own patterns.

Thank you, thank you. I was having Flock FOMO before watching now I have a fiber hangover and feel over it so $$ saved. I have like 20 sweaters in my queue with yarn in bags for them so my answer to your second question is definitely time to knit (I have been enjoying swatching lately). I don’t think I’ve knit a sweater in the same yarn twice but I have at least a half a dozen gray ones. So I guess given the choice I’d have to say same color. But can I use self striping for socks still 😂

Loved this video and seeing all your yarn. Also, the thrift store is a great place to buy fabric, sheets, tablecloths, etc. to practice sewing or even use it for the finished product!

I love your podcast & enjoy your purchases! I am a shopper as well and find that my stash exceeds my skill at this point. I would rather knit with the same yarn, as I enjoy color too much to stick with just one. I have goals to become a spinner and have purchases a spindle from Greensleeves which is beautiful, now to understand fiber! I think I would rather have more time than to hit gauge, cause I enjoy oversized items so don’t worry too much about swatching. I also have sisters with smaller feet and a granddaughter who I can always gift too if items are too small!

I’m a purple lover so if I had to make a choice I’d say knit with the same color and then for all different varieties of yarn. I enjoyed yarn collecting (feeding my addiction) vicariously through you on your trip to Flock. 😂
Flock sounds like it was lovely. I think I would rather knit with the same yarn so I can have more colors in my life. I was knitting all of my projects with green last month and I was getting tired of it even though it was beautiful and I love green.

Ooh love the questions. For the yarn-I’d rather always knit with the same yarn base. I love all the colours, and I could imagine finding my ideal base and happily just knitting with that forever.
For the fleece-Time is always very short, I’d much rather have the time and ability to knit. Besides, not always matching gauge makes the creative process more interesting!

She had a lot of fun. She was overwhelmed at times but we both felt like Sunday was less chaotic.

So glad you had a great trip here in WA, flock, friends and some fiber fun too! I do offer create with the same kind of yarn, well from a specific company, but that gives me options I would prefer to continue to make and create with the same yarn option than be limited to a solo color. Great question and happy anniversary too!
What is your go to yarn looking back with your makes soes one brand stand out more? Obviously what's in our collection may differ from what we've made. I use a lot of Holst Garn products, great quality, options, colors, bases and price point too.

Happy anniversary! I would always knit in the same yarn - merino nylon sock! You can combine for dk or hold single and I love a rainbow! 😊❤🎉

I would love to go to a big wool show someday meanwhile I'll drool over everything you brought home. I would knit with the same yarn I get bored with the colour easily.
Love the baby blanket! I would say that as far as washing those woolies, I wash all my wool items with baby shampoo rather than purchasing the wool wash. It is mild and never hurts the wool. It might be easier for parents to just use baby shampoo than to buy something else.
I would rather always knit with the same fiber or type of yarn, so long as I get to pick which one it is. I can’t do the same color all the time.

I would rather knit with the same yarn! Because I kind of do that anyway I find a new base/ dyer and I hyper focus. Lol it's an issue. Thank you so much for sharing I have been so excited to see all you goodies and hear all about it .
