I got the same one, even to its old i love the keyboard on it. I would suggest yall download windows 7 super lite, works flawlesly... i think windows 10 would make the videos lag... but windows 7 super lite, works perfect both in video playing n multitasking. Great videos
win 10 is heavy for this laptop. I have the same one, with ssd and core 2 duo 9300, much more powerfull processor. Tried win10 - it works, but slow, fan works with noise, uncomfortable. Now i'm watching this video and writing this comment 17.08.2024 on my lovely d630))
@@ApkHeaven sure, I did it. But old processor does not have low level instructions that uses in win10. That is why it works slower than modern processor with same frequency on win10. On win7 I wach RUclips with HD quality without freezing on external monitor. It is impossible on win10
Ive got one of these and would like to install Windows 10 ..... besides upgrading the RAM did you have to make any other changes? Mine is locked with an ADMIN password so BIOS changes are not happening ....
Dont these have a bios password jumper on the motherboard when you remove it while the pc is turned off after that power it on again but without the jumper and the password will be removed.
These are such good laptops. They were premium back in their day. I repaired and sold so many of them.

Did you replace the thermal paste and clean the cpu fan?
Mine works fine for internet and office work and no big noise even now in the summer.
