WBC used MLB balls, which are different from the balls used in NPB. The adjustment to the new ball is one of common challenges among NPB pitchers who come here. Kikuchi, for example, struggled from this for some time but others usually get used to it quickly. That's a possible rotation for the start of the season, but only if the Dodgers are sticking Dustin May in the bullpen, which I'm not convinced of. Also, I doubt Ohtani starts the season pitching.
