Jay-Z has sooooooo much iller displays of lyricism then this. This is just mostly average fast rap but nothing special technically dope skill wise lyrically. This more about fast flow it’s not about ill lyricism at all. Jay-Z 95-03 is WAY > this for most part.

Twista, Bone, I know there are others but those are the ones that immediately come to mind. This style really didn’t suit him. His verse on “the graveyard” was way better than this and probably a better showcase of his skills.

If Jay-Z still rapped on old school beats and kept his 'riggedy diggedy' flow he'd be insanely irrelevant by now. He was smart enough to adapt his sound and try out different things which a lot of older rappers could do with trying nowadays.
