    • @superdopehiphop
      @superdopehiphop Год назад +13

      Jay-Z has sooooooo much iller displays of lyricism then this. This is just mostly average fast rap but nothing special technically dope skill wise lyrically. This more about fast flow it’s not about ill lyricism at all. Jay-Z 95-03 is WAY > this for most part.

    • @mutedmutiny9542
      @mutedmutiny9542 Год назад +1

      @@superdopehiphop yeah, this really isn’t that amazing of a “display”. Pretty much every rapper that had a fast flow did it better than Jay did. Twista, Bone, I know there are others but those are the ones that immediately come to mind. This style really didn’t suit him. His verse on “the graveyard” was way better than this and probably a better showcase of his skills.

      @jman1562001 9 лет назад +92

      darius davis that was Jay-Z's original style which is why most people think he a fraud...check how Young Chris and BIG rhymed by the early nineties and then see Jay-Z shit next too it...Biting niggas shit was quite apparent in the 90s and 2000. From rhymes to their style, look, and delivery, Jay-Z constantly switched up with the times. I give him credit, its one of the reasons he been around and relevant for so long. But I can't get over that he did bite some people shit, well most rappers do it anyway, mfers cant think for themselves!!!

    Thanks for uploading this. Legendary. 🔥🔥🔥 What inspires me is how jay z had this fast rap style right ? Busta at the time was only starting to catch it but look how far Busta went with it.

      adam gilmore that’s b cuz ur stupid. Certain drug dealers wore no jewelry or flashy clothes so the would look normal. Especially in ny. If u look like ur gettin $ u get robbed & harassed by cops!!!! Common sense if ur a real street cat. Obviously ur not

    Great video. 1990 was the year the short lived Black Nationalist hip-hop reached it's zenith. Lots of great scenes in here showing where cats heads were supposedly at. Personally, for the majority, I think it was a fad. I saw a video where some dudes blamed NWA for this kind of hip hops downfall. I call bullshit.

      tmat2018 The system saw where we were headed and put a stop to it asap. They saw that a great majority of the black youth were woke . So they decided to fund gangsta rap . Wasn't NWAs fault the gangsta rappers were puppets as usual . So then the rest followed . Greed over the Red Black and Green . That's ok Karma has no expiration date these devils will pay in the end
