Jay-Z has sooooooo much iller displays of lyricism then this. This is just mostly average fast rap but nothing special technically dope skill wise lyrically. This more about fast flow it’s not about ill lyricism at all. Jay-Z 95-03 is WAY > this for most part.

If Jay-Z still rapped on old school beats and kept his 'riggedy diggedy' flow he'd be insanely irrelevant by now. He was smart enough to adapt his sound and try out different things which a lot of older rappers could do with trying nowadays.

Great video. 1990 was the year the short lived Black Nationalist hip-hop reached it's zenith. Lots of great scenes in here showing where cats heads were supposedly at.
